Regenerace tepla a vody z proudu odpadního vzduchu / Regeneration of heat and water from the exhaust air stream

Jankůj, Tomáš January 2019 (has links)
This thesis deals with the process of wood drying. It is a method of removing excess water from wood. Drying can be divided into two basic types. The first type is natural drying. The material is dried without the presence of foreign energy source. This type depends only on climatic conditions and the amount of sunlight. Another type is artificial drying, where is pre-sent a foreign energy source, such as a biomass boiler. The second type is significantly faster than the first. The second type of drying uses a device called a wood dryer. There are a lot of types of wood dryers, the most widely used are kiln dryer, belt dryer, rotary drum dryer. In these devices, the thermal energy is transferred to the drying materials by the flowing warm drying medium (convection). The heat is transferred to the drying medium in a heat exchan-ger. Because the drying process is very energy demanding, it is appropriate to reduced the required energy. This can be done by regenerating heat and water. In the heat exchanger, part of the heat can be gained from the flowing exhaust medium. If a condensation of evaporated water in the exchanger occurs, the latent heat of the water is released. The gained heat is used to preheat the drying medium and thereby to reduce the required energy.

Bulíček, Jakub January 2019 (has links)
The master´s thesis deals with influence of the insulation of the detached house on the costs associated with heating and the effect on the usual price of detached house. In the theoretical part of the thesis are given the basic concepts of heat, the topic of energy intensity of buildings, methods of thermal insulation, types of thermal insulation, the development of thermal properties of burnt brickwork and valuation. In the practical part there are designed variants of economy measures and there are calculations of heat losses of the current state and newly proposed variants. Then follows the energy savings assessment, payback period and the effect on the price of a usual detached house.

Konstrukce malého parního motoru pro využití sluneční energie / Construction of small steam engine for the use of solar energy

Strava, Jan January 2020 (has links)
Possible modern application of piston steam engine is electricity production using steam made by solar energy. This diploma thesis focuses on designing such piston steam engine Described solution would be effective as an off grid electricity generator, because alternative source of steam could be added for occasions, when sunlight is not powerfull enough for steam production.

Projektování systémů přenosu a využití tepla z Termokompostu / Design of heat transfer and recovery systems for Thermocompost

Dokoupilová, Bára January 2020 (has links)
The following master’s thesis examines the use of biothermal energy released during the decomposition process of composting. The aim of this thesis is to explain the heat generation principles of composting, to summarize its consumption possibilities, and to design a suitable use of the source for the demands of a real building. First, the theoretical framework compares various options of the biomass utilization. It then describes the biochemical course of organic matter decomposition, and conceptualizes the term thermocompost as well as different methods of heat extraction. Subsequently, it lists ways of applying this technology in practice. Second, the empirical part uses the findings to propose a compost pile installation, and its connection to the current heating and hot water system in Ecocentre Karpaty in Nová Lhota, Hodonín. Due to the low-temperature nature of the source and the mode of usage of the building, it is recommended to accumulate the heat generated in the hot water storage tank. The preheating of potable water is considered as its primary benefit. In case of sufficiently high temperature of the thermocompost, the design also includes the possibility of preheating of heating water. In conclusion, the thesis evaluates the financial costs of the project and determines the financial savings. These have – due to the low frequency of the building usage and the consumption of hot water reach – relatively low values.

Nízkoenergetický GPS lokátor s použitím LoRa sítě / Low Energy GPS Tracker Using LoRa Network

Múčka, Milan January 2020 (has links)
This thesis deals with determine location using very low power consumption device. The main target was to design and construct device using right platform and sensors for localization, sending data using IoT LoRa network and than processing data on server's side. To solve the problem, it was used community network TheThingsNetwork. In thesis I created power efficient device, which can find current location using GPS system and deliver it to user using LoRaWAN network.

Optimalizace energetických toků při provozu ČOV - Smart Area Net / Optimization of Energy Flow During WWTP Operation - Smart Area Net

Pěcha, Jiří January 2021 (has links)
The dissertation work deals with the issue of water treatment and possibilities of energy savings during the operation of sewage treatment plants. The aim of the work is to find the potential of alternative energy use, economical consumption, improvement of the facility system management and quality improvement of the wastewater treatment process. In the first part of the work, operating processes, energy flows and energy savings are discussed. To analyze the problematics, larger sewage treatment plants were chosen. Thanks to their size, it was easier to find critical points and test the usage of renewable sources in operation. After the energy audit, the individual processes were assessed and real operation pitfalls were determined. Further steps led to focusing on smaller facilities up to 2 000 PE. This step was carried out with the intention of preparing these plants for the planned legislative change and helping to create or modernize more energy-efficient solutions. Thanks to the establishment of consortium of Brno University of Technology, the Department of Electric Power Engineering and a company dealing with water treatment and automation control, a solution was created that modernize the electrical, automation and water treatment part of the plant operation. This innovative application was installed in the sewage treatment plant, where the issues were debugged, control algorithms were tested and the entire operation was launched in automatic mode. At the end of the wastewater treatment plant modernization, PV panels were installed on the roof, thus partially suppling the object with renewable energy.

Model akumulace velkých objemů energie / Model of Bulk Energy Accumulation

Radil, Lukáš January 2008 (has links)
The purpose of this pursuit is to introduce the reader about the questions of the accumulation of the electric energy and to outline possibilities of its design and what instruments is possible to get it. The other purpose is to inscribe possibilities of today´s attachment of dispersive sources to the net from the sight of the ERU, eventually from the sight of the UCTE. This persuit describes the posibility of the accumulation of adequate dimensions from renewable resources, the modern trends in this area and the prediction of future progress. The two most proper types of the energy accumulation are chosen by the following process with regarding to the optimal resolution of the given questions. The general balance will be ana-lysed by the comparison of their basic parameters. The other point of this pursuit is to try to realize a small model of the accumulation through the hydrogen´s cycle, it comes to that we can develop the efficiency and influence by the help of the electrolyzer and the metalhydride reservoir is realized energy of accumulation . In the conclusion of this pursuit is the appreciation of the whole project with the view of partly economical and especially with the view of the prospective usage into the electric grid

Neuschl, Martin January 2009 (has links)
The subject of this paper is „remote data acquisition over the power lines“. The first part is engaged in characteristics of power lines. The other part considers PLC technology, its properties and usage. Base on disturbance and noise in power grid is chosen optimal modulation technique and error handling for PLC. The next part describes options of authentication. It has been designed secure way of authentication for data collection over power lines and attack-resistance is considered as well. Practical purpose is dedicated to simulations and noise measuring during communication of narrowband PLC modems. It deals with long-term power grid testing and its influence on transmission rate between PLC modems and also with the influence on primary parameters of power grid. Packets are investigated during communication as well.
