Serviceorientiertes Text Mining am Beispiel von Entitätsextrahierenden Diensten

Pfeifer, Katja 16 June 2014 (has links)

Současné podoby vědeckého realismu / Contemporary forms of scientific realism

Zach, Martin January 2016 (has links)
The topic of this diploma thesis is the position of scientific realism presented in the framework of naturalized philosophy of science. The aim is to clarify this position and to show that if one denies realism, scientific practice does not make sense. For this purpose main focus is first devoted to the key parts (metaphysical realism, semantic realism, and epistemological realism) which constitute the scientific realism. Next, a detailed analysis of the arguments against and in favor of realism is offered, and concrete examples taken from the sciences are used to illustrate key points. Space is also devoted to the analysis of a physical theory of heat of the 18th and 19th centuries in connection with an antirealist argument directed at the history of science. Also, one of the few fully elaborated antirealist positions, constructive empiricism, is presented and critically evaluated. In a similar fashion, this thesis pays attention to a specific form of realism, called entity realism. Though the resulting image is a thoroughly realist position, this position strives to accurately capture the numerous nuances of the scientific practice, offering a fresh perspective on some of the traditional views.

Trestní odpovědnost právnických osob / Criminal Liability of Legal Entities

Šťastný, Petr January 2019 (has links)
CRIMINAL LIABILITY OF LEGAL ENTITIES Abstract Although it has been more than seven years since the adoption of Act No. 418/2011 Coll., on the criminal liability of legal entities and proceedings against them, by criminal liability of legal entities which the Czech legislators introduced, it remains a controversial issue. Thus the aim of this thesis is not only to analyse this legislation and provide a comprehensive and clear interpretation, including a critical evaluation of selected institutes, but also to introduce the process leading to its adoption, including a comparison of the arguments in favour of adopting such a decision with the arguments presented by the opponents of the criminal liability of legal entities. An equally important aim of the thesis is an analytical evaluation of application knowledge and the presentation of potential de lege ferenda proposals. However, such considerations require a sufficient command of terminology, as well as of the basic principles of criminal law, which is the content of Chapter One of the thesis. Chapter Two is dedicated to the fundamental change in the concept of legal entities brought about by the new Civil Code, which leans towards the theory of fiction, thereby causing considerable tension. On a global scale, the institute of the liability of legal entities...

Optimizing your data structure for real-time 3D rendering in the web : A comparison between object-oriented programming and data-oriented design

Christoforidis, Constantin January 2021 (has links)
Performance is something that is always of concern when developing real-time 3D graphics applications. The way programs are made today with object-oriented programming has certain flaws that are rooted in the methodology itself. By exploring different programming paradigms we can eliminate some of these issues and find what is best for programming in different areas. Because real-time 3D applications need high performance the data-oriented design paradigm that makes the data the center of the application is experimented with. By using data-oriented design we can eliminate certain issues with object-oriented programming and deliver improved applications when it comes to performance, flexibility, and architecture. In this study, an experiment creating the same type of program with the help of different programming paradigms is made to compare the performance of the two. Some additional up- and downsides of the paradigms are also mentioned /

Sjöberg, Agaton January 2021 (has links)
The use cases of Information Extraction (IE) are more or less endless, often consisting of a combination of Named Entity Recognition (NER) and Relation Extraction (RE). One use case of IE is the extraction of transaction information from Norwegian insider transaction Press Releases (PRs), where a transaction consists of at most four entities: the name of the owner performing the transaction, the number of shares transferred, the transaction date, and the price of the shares bought or sold. The relationships between the entities define which entity belongs to which transaction, and whether shares were bought or sold. This report has investigated how a pair of supervised NER and RE models extract this information. Since these Norwegian PRs were not labeled, two different approaches to annotating the transaction entities and their associated relations were investigated, and it was found that it is better to annotate only entities that occur in a relation than annotating all occurrences. Furthermore, the number of PRs needed to achieve a satisfactory result in the IE pipeline was investigated. The study shows that training with about 400 PRs is sufficient for the results to converge, at around 0.85 in F1-score. Finally, the report shows that there is not much difference between a complex RE model and a simple rule-based approach, when applied on the studied corpus.

The Peruvian State has been executing efforts to implement the actions that are necessary in order to make the generation of goods and services it provides more effective and efficient to achieve positive results for the well-being of citizens and the development of the country; In this sense, through the National Policy for the Modernization of Public Management by 2021, the Executive establishes the vision, principles and guidelines for a coherent and effective action of the public sector at the service of citizens and the development of the country. (Presidencia de Consejo de Ministros, 2021) Under this context, the Comptroller General of the Republic carries out, through the "Performance Audit", the evaluation of the quality and performance of the delivery of goods and services provided by public entities, in order to achieve results. that impact on the quality of public services provided to citizens. However, despite the numerous efforts made by the Comptroller General of the Republic, we verified that the web application Sigueplan, an informative tool that serves to monitor the actions to be implemented by public entities, it is shown that as of November 2020 a total of 16 Performance Audits have been registered for different services that were provided by public entities, whose Action Plans issued included a total of 522 actions to be implemented, and that despite After the deadline for implementation has elapsed, to date there are recommendations with little or no implementation. In this sense, this research work analyzes the main causes identified by the audit team in charge of monitoring the Action Plans of the Office of the Comptroller General of the Republic, which limited the continuity in the monitoring process, as well as performs an analysis of the monitoring report system - public access plan, as well as Directive No. 008-2016 CG/GPROD that regulated the performance audit during the implementation period of the selected Action Plans, in order to propose alternatives for improvement and formulate recommendations that contribute to the improvement of the follow-up process for action plans, as a result of performance audits. / Trabajo de investigación

Benchmarking and Analysis of Entity Referencing Within Open-Source Entity Component Systems

Hansen, Hugo, Öhrström, Oliver January 2020 (has links)
Runtime performance is essential for real time games, the faster a game can run the more features designers can put into the game to accomplish their vision.A popular architecture for video games is the Entity Component System architecture aimed to improve both object composition and performance. There are many tests for how this architecture performs under its optimal linear execution. This thesis presents a performance comparison of how several popular open-source Entity Component System libraries perform when fetching data from other entities during iteration. An object-oriented test is also done to compare against and verify if the known drawbacks of object-orientation can still be seen within these test cases. Our results show that doing a random lookup during iteration can cause magnitudes worse performance for Entity Component Systems.
