Využití systému CogniPlus pro trénink kognitivních funkcí v ergoterapii u osob se získaným poškozením mozku / The utilization of CogniPlus system in cognitive-functions training during the occupational therapy for people with acquired brain injury

Pilzová, Martina January 2019 (has links)
Aquired brain injury is still a current topic and a serious problem nowadays. After a treatment, a lot of consequences appear which cause a long-term inability to work and invalidation of many people. One of the serious problems is a disorder of cognitive functions which disables people to get back to a normal life. One of the options how to affect the cognitive functions impairment is a system called CogniPlus. Theoretical part of this work presents aquired brain injury, its dividing, basic classification and the consequences. Furthermore, this work dedicates to rehabilitation of cognitive functions using both computers and conventional methods. It also shows the work of the occupational therapist and the possibility of cognitive function testing. The aim of the research is to find out if CogniPlus cognitive function training is more effective than the conventional pencil-paper method. 20 people were tested in this study. Unfortunately, one of them had to quit due to health problems. The experimental and the control group had a therapy once or twice a week. All the participants went through Addenbrooke cognitive test and through a questionnaire of cognitive mistakes at the beginning and at the end of the testing. The experimental group showed a significant improvement in the global score ACE and in the...

Ergoterapeutická intervence u dospělých pacientů s neurogenní dysfagií / Intervention of occupational therapist in adult patients with neurogenic dysphagia

Hochová, Anna January 2018 (has links)
The Occupational Therapist's Intervention for Adult Patients with Neurogenic Dysphagia Abstract of the Thesis: Dysphagia is a serious disorder, often caused by a cerebrovascular accident; in many cases it may be its only or primary symptom, and even the cause of death. The main objective of this thesis is to raise awareness of swallowing disorders among occupational therapists. Despite the fact that the occupational therapist's intervention for patients with swallowing disorder is common practice among occupational therapists abroad, this issue still is not well known among occupational therapists in the Czech Republic. There is also a considerable lack of Czech literature dealing with swallowing disorders from the occupational therapy point of view. This thesis therefore not only presents theoretical findings in this field but also recommends practical procedures for occupational therapists. The theoretical part of the thesis describes functional anatomy of the swallowing structures and swallowing physiology and pathophysiology. It analyses different causes of dysphagia with a focus on neurological disorders, defines the term dysphagia and other related terms, and briefly explains several classification methods of dysphagia. While the first part of the thesis looks primarily into the diagnostics and...

Využití terapie vynuceného používání paretické horní končetiny u pacientů po cévní mozkové příhodě v ergoterapii / Constraint induced movement therapy for upper extremity in patients after stroke in occupational therapy

Horsáková, Petra January 2017 (has links)
Constraint induced movement therapy is one of many neurorehabilitation methods, based on principle of overcoming the learned non-use phenomenon by a specific therapeutic protocol including some behavioral techniques. A classification of currently available studies on the topic have been made on the model of literature review, with an in-depth focus on using Constraint induced movement therapy in occupational therapy for adult patients after stroke who have upper limb motor disorders. The present study is structured into two sections: a theoretical part and an analytic-descriptive one. In theoretical part history of the method is presented together at Basic method principles and detail contents of a therapeutic protocol. The analytical and descriptive section is aimed to analyse international studies important and relevant with respect to an occupational therapy practice. In this second section are also proposed many possible activities of shaping and task practice techniques which can be used by occupational therapists. Translation of the most widely used test (Motor Activity Log and Wolf Motor Function Test) into Czech language is included. Keywords: constraint induced movement therapy, stroke, upper extremity, occupational therapy
