This written work deals with the meaning of the terms usury and interest over the course of time from the anthropological-historical point of view given by the philosophical and theological authorities and painters of the time. The work reflects the socio-ethical interpretation of moral dilemmas associated with usury in today's civic-economic practice, especially in the context of the Czech Republic. In the introductory section, the concept of usury is defined. On the basis of legal science, the principles governing the legal area in the decision-making and the definition of usurer behaviour in criminal and private law relations are highlighted. For the proper understanding of the issue are illuminated the meanings of terms such as debt, bond, compound and simple interest, annual average cost rate. The second part of the work is devoted to usury in selected biblical passages of the Old and New Testament. In the context of the comparison, a modest comparative insight into Islam is given in relation to usury (ribá), and some morally controversial banking transactions under sharia Islamic law are introduced. This diploma work deals with an actual theme which is the ethic in business and the social audit. It includes a view of the main concepts, beyond there is documented the situation in the firm. There is realized the social audit based on the acquired information and is suggested a Code of the Ethics.

Master´s thesis deals about Business ethics in Eisberg a.s. First section discuss theoretical resources related to the theme of entrepreneurial ethics. Thesis explains and outlines signifiant terms, which are essential, and summarize techniques used in practical research. Practical section deals with ethical environment in examined company, discuss results of research and propose specific future recomandations for the company.

This diploma project deals with how a family with mental handicapped child perceives the social environment and the stand of experts on themselves. The work includes basic concepts relating to the issues examined here. The thesis also mentions the importance of ethical codes of expert professions such as doctors, social workers and educators. The way how the doctors should communicate with the parents of handicapped child and how to advise the parents of inconvenient diagnosis. The thesis also deals with how the families put up with diagnosis of their child in different stages. Theoretical chapter explains how the family could be threatened by the social exclusion. The research section describes the data collection, witch was realized by interviews the families of handicapped children. The analysis of responses to predetermined research questions follows the methodology of data collection. Final results are summarized in tables.

The diploma thesis is about corporate social responsibility and its application in a selected company. The introductory sections summarize the theoretical background and methodologies used. The following are the sections related to the analysis and the research performer. The design part contains the basic concept of the code of ethics, recommended activities and evaluation in terms of risks, time and finances. The result of the work is this proposal of social responsibility in the company.

The aim of this work is to determine the level of business ethics in the company of ABC. It´s level is determined by comparison with selected aspects of corporate climate. Using the questionnaire are determined range of individual areas, resulting in the identification of critical areas in the company, which serves as the starting point for the proposals to improve the situation. Basis for the design part is enhanced by discussions with management and the author´s observation. The main proposed solution is the implementation of the Balanced Scorecard methodology, whose benefit is the reduction of critical areas to an acceptable level. The author also formed proposals to improve corporate ethics program and actvities in the area of social responsibility.

Clinical trials of medicinal products is increasingly important area of pharmaceutical law. Number of clinical trials and amount of financial resources is constantly rising and therefore the rules and principles of the clinical trials itself are being clarified overtime. This diploma thesis aims to provide an overview of the basic aspects of clinical trials of medicinal products for human use from a legal point of view. The author focuses in particular on the national legislation of clinical trials, which is complemented by the legislation of the European Union and important sources of the international law. Author is more closely analysing the particular procedures performed within the clinical trials, especially from the point of view of the administrative law. Particular attention is paid to the ethical review of the clinical trials, their particular aspects and the overall concept. The thesis is divided into twelve chapters. In the introduction, the author focuses on the development of the clinical trials and mentions the crucial moments that contributed to the formulation of the basic rules of the clinical trials. Tato diplomová práce je zaměřena na etiku a etické chování firem v České republice. Soustředí se především na vymezení a zmapování důležitých pojmů v dnešním podnikatelském prostředí jako je podnikatelská etika a společenská odpovědnost firem. Tato práce má za cíl nastínit a zhodnotit metody a nástroje používané při implementaci etického chování do podnikání. Snaží se přesvědčit firmy, které se pohybují v českém podnikatelském prostředí, aby přijaly a aktivně používaly etické kodexy, kterými by se mohli manažeři a zaměstnanci firmy řídit.

Our health is what we value most. Medicine as a scientific branch has made a great step forward in the last decades. Due to this fact, the demographical structure of inhabitants changed significantly. People reach higher age, we are able to treat diseases, which used to cause death. Nevertheless, we are not anymore in a phase, when financial costs equal treatment needed for all people in Czech Republic. Therefore, the topic Ethics in healthcare is an actual one. The aim of this thesis is the description and following analysis of actual problems in Czech healthcare. There are stated the main problems in Czech healthcare, where the relationship between ethics and economics is mostly visible. The proposal for improving the actual situation, is to extend the Ethical code of Czech Medical Chamber, as the document, which brings the main ethical standards in healthcare. The next proposal for improving the actual situation in Czech healthcare, is to make new ethical codes for different medical specialties. It is also advised to place the Ethical code of Czech Medical Chamber on visible places. The used method is compilation of literature and interviews with professionals and medics for analytical approaches. In this thesis, data from Czech Institution for Health Information and Statistics are used. There are also used articles form healthcare magazines and from general periodicals.
