Téma každodennosti a stereotypu ve výtvarném umění a výtvarné výchově / Theme of everydayness and stereotype in Fine Art and Art EducationSurmová, Eliška January 2020 (has links)
The following diploma thesis paper deals with the theme of everydayness and stereotypes within fine arts and art education. The theoretical part firstly focuses on monitoring the phenomenon of everydayness and stereotypes across various scientific disciplines, such as philosophy, sociology, psychology, anthropology or history. Subsequently the concept of depicting everydayness and stereotypes in fine arts is developed, which also includes authors whose work deal with the theme of everydayness and stereotypes and whose work fall into the period from the second half of the 20th century till the present day. We created three approaches to the given concept and each approach differs in their approach in depicting the reality of everyday life. The poverty construct and its resonance with the experiencing of deprivation : social relations in a Jamaican communityHall, Kurt Vassell January 2010 (has links)
This research provides one account of the complex relationship between differentiated experiences of deprivation and the dominant poverty construct in the Jamaican context. It is based on research conducted over a period of nine months in a Jamaican 'squatter' community, Windsor, in the Parish of St. Ann. The study is organised into two 'positional' chapters (conceptual framework and methodology) and four direct 'response' chapters that demonstrate the ways in which the official poverty approach (from concept to policy) resonates with the living experiences of individuals. The 'response' chapters step back from debates on the measurement of poverty so as to critically and reflexively consider the construct's conceptual and definitional antinomies. This is done through: (i) an excavation of a partial social history of poverty discourses in Jamaica; (ii) an evaluation of problems with knowledge production in the participatory method; (iii) an examination of the implications of the abstraction of the poor from spatial relations; and (iv) an exploration of different ways in which individuals 'picture' living in their surroundings. The conclusion drawn is that it is necessary to begin engaging in a multidisciplinary project which accounts for difference within the poverty construct. This is because, insofar as it is possible, the removal of the most extreme forms of deprivation is not in itself sufficient for the eradication of the social relations that give rise to these privative 'conditions'. There instead needs to be critical engagement with relations of deprivation as resident in the social body as a whole in conceptualising poverty.

Tempo e artista: Chico Buarque, avaliador de nossa cotidianidade / Time and artist: Chico Buarque, evaluator of our everydaynessAguiar, Miriam Bevilacqua 19 September 2014 (has links)
A tese Tempo e Artista. / The thesis Time and Artist: Chico Buarque, evaluator of our everydayness analyzes, among the songs that figure in the musical work of the composer Francisco Buarque de Hollanda, those that approach the everyday life. The objective of this thesis is to show how these songs, more than portraying the everyday life, also evaluate the day-by-day of the Brazilian society by either creating or highlighting ideas and concepts accepted by a large part of the national population from the 1960s to the 2000s. This research also intends to provide evidence of how the artist\'s lyrics resemble chronicles, both for text structure as well as for the selection of themes and engagement with the reality in which these songs arise. The process of this work started with the contextualization of the composer\'s life and work, followed by an extensive investigation and capture in the main communication vehicles at the time. Such process allowed verifying how the artist\'s credibility was built and strengthened up to a level of the author being considered an unanimity, both in the most educated segments of the population as well as among the most popular ones that admired the samba of Chico Buarque. In this sense, as the creator of a unique work, Chico Buarque was empowered to be the evaluator of our everydayness. The analysis of a total of 24 songs representing five decades made possible to emphasize how the poetics of Chico Buarque was designed and which themes he selected from ordinary life. Finally, this study expects to have confirmed how the musical work of Chico Buarque revealed, evaluated and interfered in the Brazilian everyday reality.

[en] BETWEEN THIS AND THE OTHER WORLD: INITIATION, HEALING AND DAILY LIFE OF THE UMBANDISTAS MEDIUM S RELIGIOUS PRACTICE / [pt] ENTRE ESTE E O OUTRO MUNDO: INICIAÇÃO, CURA E COTIDIANIDADE NA PRÁTICA RELIGIOSA DE MÉDIUNS UMBANDISTASJANDERSON BAX CARNEIRO 28 January 2019 (has links)
[en] This work aims to analyze the subjective experiences of umbandistas mediums, religious considered owners of the gift of communication with orixás and entidades, the spiritual powers worshiped at umbanda centers. As an ethnography, this research is affiliated to the intersubjective dimension of anthropological work and developed from two basic methodological procedures: participatory observation of the routine of two umbanda centers in the West of Rio de Janeiro and partly structured interviews with mediums. From the exam of the interlocutors trajectories, the focus of this approach is on their sensible experiences around three aspects: initiation, healing practices and daily life. It is relevant to mention the possession trance as the fundamental language to the building of the sacred of the umbandistas religious practices, since the materialization of the spiritual entities happens, primarily, from a phenomenon known as incorporation, when the spiritual guides go down initiated bodies. It turns the mediums specialized in assuming numerous selves. Likewise, some others sensory experiences are present in this encounter, not without tension between men and sacred beings, as the clairvoyant visions and forebodings. Therefore, the thesis considers the experiential dimension of the religiosity, emphasizing the statute given to body and emotions in the building of the phenomenological universe of the umbandistas. It is, ultimately, a reflexive effort about a way to be in the world laid over, markedly, in sensory and bodily interpretations of the lived.

The thesis is entitled Coffee, tea and chocolate as a part of the life of noblemen during the early-modern times period in the Czech countries and it presents the history of everydayness of the nobility in the Czech Kingdom and in the Margraviate of Moravia from the middle of the 17th up to the ending of the 18th century, and it emphasizes the material culture which was used for drinking coffee, tea and chocolate.
