"dort wo sich die Geister scheiden fängt die Kunst an", diese Notiz auf einem unscheinbaren kleinen Zettel als Motiv auf dem Einband des Ausstellungskataloges "POETA WOHIN?" erschließt sich erst, wenn man den Band auf den Kopf stellt.

Ein dreiviertel Jahrhundert nach der Erfindung Gutenbergs wurde in Dresden erstmals gedruckt. Schon mit diesem Beginn im Jahr 1524 steht der Buchdruck in Dresden in Konkurrenz zu Leipzig...

So heißt die im Foyer der Sächsische Landesbibliothek - Staats- und Universitätsbibliothek Dresden gezeigte Wanderausstellung, deren Eröffnung am Vorabend des 9. September ein gelungener Auftakt zur AIBM-Jahrestagung 2009 war. Von der Fachgruppe Freie Forschungsinstitute in der Gesellschaft für Musikforschung initiiert und durch einen von Klaus Döge und Kollegen herausgegebenen attraktiven Katalog dokumentiert (www.adwmainz.de/index.php?id=772), stellt die mit Blick auf das Jahr der Geisteswissenschaften 2007 konzipierte Exposition zwanzig langfristige Musikeditions- und -forschungsprojekte vor, die – in der Regel durch die Union der deutschen Akademien der Wissenschaften betreut und von Bund und Ländern gemeinsam finanziert – seit mehr als fünfzig Jahren maßgeblich zu den Fundamenten von Musikhistorie und Musikpraxis beigetragen und auch international hohe Anerkennung gefunden haben.

Der im Dezember 2009 fertiggestellte Ausstellungsraum der Bibliotheca Albertina erlebt seine erste große Ausstellung, die sich mit den Judentümern in Stadt und Universität befasst. Darunter befinden sich 70 Bücher und sechs Videofilme zur Betrachtung. Zur Ausstellung gibt es einen 80-seitigen farbigen Katalog.

Die Ausstellung „Color continuo 1810 – 2010 System und Kunst der Farbe“ der SLUB und der AltanaGalerie der TU Dresden erinnert an die Wirkung der Farbenlehre Goethes. Die TU Dresden besitzt einen große historische Farbstoffstammlung. Goethe und Runge forschten zur Farbenlehre, und Schopenhauer arbeitete in der Königlichen öffentlichen Bibliothek in Dresden, um Goethes Farbenlehre zu vollenden. Die Ausstellung würdigt diese Arbeiten und stellt sie in einem gedruckten Katalog vor.

Die Ausstellung „Ein Kosmos des Wissens“ präsentiert, wie es der Untertitel verspricht, „Weltschrifterbe in Leipzig“. Das ist hoch gegriffen und doch nicht zu wenig gesagt. Wir bewahren hier in der Bibliotheca Albertina seltene und sehr wertvolle Stücke auf, die unserer Obhut anheim gegeben sind, aber eigentlich der Welt gehören.

In der Ausstellung „Versionen – Die Künstlerbibliothek“ präsentierten acht KünstlerInnen ihre Ideen und Vorstellungen zum Thema Bibliothek. Die Ausstellung fand in der Galerie für zeitgenössische Kunst in Leipzig statt.

Jana Cermanová Prague sculpture exhibitions 1898 - 1916 A contribution to the theme of gallery sculpture presentation Dissertation synopsis Sculpture as an artistic discipline experienced a dynamic rise in the Czech lands at the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries. This followed the much admired example of France, where Charles Morice, referencing Rodin and his pupils, asserted the dominance of modern sculpture over painting in 1910. Thanks in large part to major art world figure and educator J. V. Myslbek, the Czech lands also saw the development of a highly ambitious group of sculptors poised to address a growing social demand for monumental works (particularly memorials) that recaptured the city's public space. Sculptors worked on architectural commissions for decorative sculptures and on orders for funerary objects, which guaranteed them an income and enabled them to pursue their own creative work. However, it was chiefly this "flood of monuments" that attracted public attention to sculptors and garnered them social prestige. Researched topic of the thesis is The role of art teacher education focused on the presentation of art works. Art teacher is given in context to the curator of the exhibition, the curatorial activities. Curator of the exhibition is a relatively new professional level, very important especially for contemporary art. The theoretical part of the work confronts profession of educator and curator of the exhibition. It searchs for a new fields of two environment meanings that combines art. Interest is whether and how the profession of the teacher and curator of visual encounter is met. I search and describe this during studies. Subsequent interest is the presentation of pupils' work, and whether it is an important part of the activity of fine art teacher, looking for steps it goes through. As well as what the teacher's attitude towards exhibitions and other forms of presentation of pupils' work. Educated high school students are familiar with the possibilities and circumstances presenting their own works of art, learn about the background of the exhibition project. On the basis of the theory and history of art, conceptual art are the art works created and then are applied for the exhibition. The diploma thesis will focus on the exhibition activities of institutes of the Czechoslovakian Academy of Sciences (ČSAV) from the 1970s until nowadays exhibition activities of the Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic (AV ČR). The institutes of the ČSAV were among a few places where unofficial and often also politically undesirable artists could exhibit their work. One of the main chapters in my thesis will deal with the Institute of Macromolecular Chemistry, in particular, where exhibitions in the entrance hall are still held until nowadays. Furthermore I will focus on architect of The Macromolecular institute and the artists whose work has been presented here, eg. V. Boštík, A. Šimotová, O. Zoubek etc., as well as the particular places serving as alternative galleries. The aim of my thesis will be also showing the function of those places in these days and investigating the overall public interest in the cultural activities of the AV ČR.
