PhDr. Jiří Kocian, CSc SUMMARY This study narrowly analyzed political and cultural-political dimension of the Czechoslovak exile in Canada during the selected period 1948-1989. Besides the introduction of the official political reactions and the evolution of political agendas, the cultural, educational and sports activities were examined, as they contributed to and supported other directly political events of the exile. The "other side" was presented too through the introduction of the strategies and tactics of the Czechoslovak communist regime used against the exile community in Canada. Well-established Czechoslovak compatriots managed to react effectively to the changes in Czechoslovakia after 1948. Complex issues such as the assistance and support of the refugees and new immigrants were solved in the cooperation with other global Czechoslovak exile organizations. This thesis is dealing with the ways in which were reflected marxism and communism in the czech exile catholic magazine "Studie", that had been published in Rome in the period 1958-1990. In addition outlines the issues of the czechoslovak exile in the second half of the twenties century. This thesis also discusses the exile waves that occurred in 1948 and 1968. This work is about the renewal of the Czech party system in period of 1943-1945. The introduction focuses on the liquidation of the party system in 1938, the party system of the Second Republic and contextualisation of the work to party systems theories. Another part deals with the formation of concepts of domestic and foreign Czechoslovak resistance on the future shape of the party system, in particular the cooperation of Moscow and London exile. The thesis describes the relationships and actions of the Communist Party of Czechoslovakia, based in the Soviet Union and their democratic competitors, who were headquartered in London, where the President Beneš and the State Council were seated. In particular, these relationships are the starting point for this work's research thesis: how the negotiations between the exile in London and Moscow influence and determined the post-war party constitution. The hypothesis that the activity of the Czechoslovak Communist Party in the Moscow exile was vital for the post-war party development will be confirmed or disproved in the conclusion. Dans le cadre de cette thèse de maîtrise, nous nous intéressons à l’évolution de la thématique identitaire dans l’œuvre de Maryse Condé en ciblant trois romans principaux : Heremakhonon, Desirada et Le fabuleux et triste destin d’Ivan et d’Ivana, tout en faisant appel à d’autres romans de l’auteure qui peuvent approfondir notre raisonnement. Nous analysons la perspective de Maryse Condé sur l'identité antillaise qui évolue avec le temps à mesure qu'elle se détache de ses prédécesseurs, notamment Aimé Césaire à qui elle laisse une place prépondérante dans son œuvre. Plus précisément, nous examinons les différentes facettes de l’identité dans ces romans, au moyen de l’approche sociocritique, en tenant compte des contextes sociaux, en vogue lors de leur publication, qui mettent en lumière les problématiques identitaires abordées à travers ces textes littéraires. Pour tracer l’évolution de l’identité, nous avons repéré les répétitions et les différences évidentes qui traversent la diégèse de ces romans à travers quatre thèmes récurrents : la quête identitaire des personnages principaux, les espaces géographiques, l’errance et les nouveaux enjeux de la mondialisation.

Der Band dokumentiert eine Tagung der Staatlichen Hochschule für Musik und Darstellende Kunst Stuttgart, die in Verbindung mit der Bundesakademie für kulturelle Bildung vom 16. bis 18. Dezember 2005 in Wolfenbättel stattgefunden hat. Das Anliegen, die Folgen des Exils in der Musikkultur der Nachkriegszeit zu untersuchen und das Exil als eine der konstitutiven Bedingungen dieser Musikkultur zu verstehen, begegnete damals noch viel deutlicheren Reserven als heute. Ausgangspunkt der Arbeit war und ist die Überzeugung, dass man das Phänomen der Rückkehr aus dem Exil und seine kulturelle Bedeutung nur verstehen kann, wenn man die Kommunikationsbedingungen und -netzwerke begreift, unter denen sich Exilierte und Dagebliebene begegnen. Dies gilt besonders für die Frage nach dem Gelingen oder Nichtgelingen beruflicher Rückkehr. Aus dieser Perspektive ging es darum, am Beispiel der Musikhochschulen die Bedingungen der Kommunikation zwischen exilierten Einzelpersonen und den Institutionen des Musiklebens nach 1945 in (zunächst West-)Deutschland zu thematisieren. Methodisch war dies allerdings angesichts der traditionell strikten Trennung von Biographik und Institutionsgeschichte zumindest diskussionsbedürftig. Die Fokussierung auf Musikhochschulen ließ dabei die institutionellen Gemeinsamkeiten ebenso hervortreten wie die Breite der spezifischen örtlichen Situationen. Angesichts der Verflechtungen des europäischen Kulturraumes und der Bedeutung der Hochschulen und Orchester in den Nachbarländern schien es naheliegend, den Blick zu weiten und mit den Beiträgen zu Wien und den Niederlanden einen ersten Schritt zu tun in Richtung einer Öffnung der musikwissenschaftlichen Remigrationsforschung auf eine europäische Perspektive. Ein Komplement zu den institutionenbezogenen Beiträgen liefern zwei Beiträge zu den individuellen biographischen Situationen von Peter Jona Korn und Hans Swarowsky, die beide in verschiedener Weise einflussreiche Stellungen an musikalischen Ausbildungsstätten der Nachkriegszeit innehatten. Die Gespräche, die Franziska Stoff mit Dorothea Ammann-Goesch führte, weisen nicht nur auf den Umstand hin, dass es – jedenfalls in Berlin – in der künstlerischen Ausbildung auch Schutzräme für Menschen gab, die von den Nazis verfolgt wurden, sie beleuchten die Situation aus der Sicht einer betroffenen Musikerin, und sie geben Einblick in die Bedingungen einer beruflichen Laufbahn nach dem Krieg.
