The principle of neutrality between the forms of lease with regard to risks - a discussion perspective : An analysis of the neutrality objective between the tenancy forms condominium and tenancy from a risk perspective

Al-Beini, Tamara, Celik, Belma January 2022 (has links)
This thesis aims to investigate whether it is possible to achieve neutrality between two selected forms of tenancy, condominium and tenancy. A risk perspective is assumed in the thesis and its starting point is thus to compare the significant risks with condominium compared tenancy. The fundamental rights and obligations in each form of lease are claimed and the risks are presented accordingly. The risks for condominiums are significantly more and include hidden collateral, duty to investigate, confiscation, the tenant-owner association's finances and competition in tenant-owner associations. Certain problems exist mainly in the regulation of mortgages in condominiums, as there is no authority-regulated system. Condominiums associations that have been declared bankrupt are also a problematic area as the law does not regulate who has the right to apply for bankruptcy for tenant-owner associations. The person affected by the various risks is taken in a language from a buyer's perspective. Risk aspects for condominiums then compare with the risks that exist when holding a tenancy. The risks are considered to be significantly fewer and are summed up in two points, confiscation and expropriation. The meaning of the neutrality goal is described in detail and is defined in summary as a principle in Swedish housing policy that has been invented to achieve equal taxation for the various forms of tenancy. The essay concluded is that the survey suggests that the risks that a condominium is a comprehensive comparison with the risks that exist for tenancy. Which can contribute to a neutrality becoming difficult to achieve. However, in-depth research and further analysis on the subject is needed to establish this with certainty.

Flexible Resource Allocation in Visual Working Memory: Insights from Pupillary Responses and Behavioral Precision

Wahlund, Thomas January 2023 (has links)
An ongoing debate exists on how visual working memory (VWM) utilizes its limited resources. This study examined how VWM resource allocation affects memory precision and pupil size. The first aim was to explore if VWM encodes items with a precision relative to their importance according to a flexible resource allocation model or encodes all items equally according to a discrete capacity model. A second aim was to investigate if phasic pupil dilation (PPD) reflected manipulations of item importance. In two experiments, 37 participants briefly memorized four colored items – circles and shapes – and reported on one randomly probed item in each trial. Before presenting items, a cue indicated the probing probability of a circle (50%, 75%, or 100%). The primary outcomes were pupil size during maintenance and response accuracy. As hypothesized, colors of more important items were reported with higher precision, which favors the flexible resource allocation model. Mixture model analysis indicated that differences in guessing rates contributed to the variations, and more important items benefitted from more encoding resources. PPD during memory maintenance revealed nuanced patterns in line with the hypotheses, albeit with non-significant group-level differences across conditions. Interestingly, individual-level analyses exposed mixed results, possibly reflecting differences in PPD sensitivity or task strategies across participants. In sum, this study supports a flexible resource allocation model of VWM and underscores the complexity of measuring resource allocation using PPD.

Johansson, Linn, Worth, Nadine January 2022 (has links)
In this work we have focused on a public employee's right to express himself both in his freetime but also at work. We have also investigated deeply the duty of loyalty that an employeehas towards their employer and investigate how the outcome can be when these have been setagainst each other. With this work, we wanted to investigate how an employee's right toexpress himself can be limited due to various factors. We have done this by presenting whatlaws, principles, doctrine and case law such as AD cases and JO decisions say in the area. Wehave picked up various cases that have shown us different factors regarding freedom ofexpression, such as an employee's criticism directed toward his employer and business, theemployee's own interests, but also in cases where an employee has been in a high positionand has spoken out, etc. We have then analyzed and compared different cases with each otherto arrive at how the duty of loyalty and freedom of expression, as well as the right to expressoneself in leisure time and at work, relate to each other. AD cases and JO decisions are about employees expressing themselves, for example, throughtheir Facebook page or on their blog. However, the weight of our work has been to highlightvarious cases that have been able to provide answers to our questions. We have highlighted cases where the employee has expressed himself during his free time, where in some cases it has been considered okay and in some cases where the employee hasreceived a warning in the service. We have also highlighted cases that show that theemployee has a duty of loyalty towards his employer. In some cases, it has been found thatthe employee's duty of loyalty has outweighed and that the employee who has been dismissedhas been dismissed on the right grounds. This has been shown after we have interpretedjudgments and decisions from JO and AD. We have also presented in our work that freedomof expression has come before the duty of loyalty in the majority of cases. However, common to most cases from both JO and AD has been that the employer has firstgiven a sanction to the employee, such as a dismissal or a warning, which has then gone tocourt and been subject to authoritative judicial review. In some cases there has been a legal assessment of JO. Whether the sanction was right or not and whether the employee had theright to express himself, we go deeper into this in our work.
