Acompanhada de um estudo introdutório, discutimos aqui o papel do autor no cenário literário da Antiguidade tardia, como ele se insere no circuito de intelectuais do período, quais os elementos mobilizados na sua tradução da Eneida e de que forma sua tradução influenciou autores posteriores, enriquecendo e contribuindo para a formação de uma tradição literária em torno de Virgílio e do seu épico. / This dissertation is the first translation to portuguese of Expositio Virgilianae Continentiae, written by Fabius Planciades Fulgentius, also known as Fulgentius, the Mythographer. This translation is followed by a brief study, which discuss the role of this author in the literary scene of late antiquity, how he inserts himself in the intellectual circle of this period, which were the elements used in his translation of Aeneid and how his translation influenced subsequent authors, giving shape and cotribuiting to the enrichment of Virgil's literary tradition and its epic.

A partir de um estudo introdutório, em que se discute a tradição em que se insere a obra do tipo enciclopédico-miscelânico, com a estratégia de recurso à memória, e em que se explicitam elementos da tradição manuscrita e impressa da obra, apresentamos a nossa proposta de tradução anotada da Sermonum, a primeira para o português, como forma de contribuir para o desenvolvimento do projeto de análise e tradução de toda a obra fulgenciana, em realização no Programa de Pós-graduação em Literatura e Cultura da Universidade Federal da Bahia. / This work focuses on the analysis and translation of Fulgentius’ Expositio sermonum antiquorum, author known as the Mythographer, because of the diffusion of his mythographic work during the Middle Ages. From an introductory study that discusses the tradition in which the work of the encyclopedic-miscellanic type is inserted, through the strategy of resorting to memory, and in which elements of the manuscript and printed tradition of the work are presented, we propose our annotated translation of Sermonum, the first one into Portuguese, as a way of contributing to the development of the project of analysis and translation of the entire Fulgentian work, in progress at Bahia Federal University's Postgraduate Program in Literature and Culture.

Il presente lavoro, intitolato Mansueto, Damiano e il Basileus: la Suggestio e l’Expositio fidei della sinodo milanese a Costantino IV, consiste in un’edizione critica della sinodale inviata da Mansueto, metropolita di Milano, a Costantino IV in occasione del Concilio del 680-681, in cui venne sancita la definitiva condanna del monotelismo. Oltre alla ricostruzione della tradizione manoscritta e dei contesti in cui avvenne la circolazione della documentazione sinodale dal IX fino al XVI secolo, si è cercato di stabilire quale fosse la realtà della provincia ecclesiastica milanese nel VII secolo, inserendone le vicende nel quadro più ampio delle dinamiche interne alle grandi sedi episcopali tra Oriente e Occidente. / The present work, entitled Mansuetus, Damianus and the Basileus: the Suggestio and the Expositio fidei of the Milan Synodal to Constantinus IV, is a critical edition of the synodal texts sent by Mansuetus, bishop of Milan, to Constantinus IV at the Council of 680-681, which condemned the doctrine of the one Will in the person of Christ. In addition to the reconstruction of the manuscript tradition and the contexts in which the synodal document circulated by the ninth to the sixteenth century, I paid also attention to determine what was the reality of the ecclesiastical province of Milan in the seventh century, by entering the events in the broader context of the dynamics within the great bishops’ sees between East and West.

Certains disciples modernes de Thomas d'Aquin ont vu dans les premières lignes de son Commentaire à l'Éthique sa division complète et absolue des sciences, ou du moins ce qui permettrait d'en jeter la première fondation. Toutefois, une telle lecture de ce texte n'est pas sans poser force difficultés : il est assez facile de montrer, en s'appuyant sur l'ensemble des écrits de l'Aquinate, que plusieurs sciences ne peuvent être incorporées de façon claire et distincte à cette division, et cela en raison même du principe de division ici adopté, à savoir les quatre types d'ordres que la raison peut considérer. Manifestement, on s'était mépris sur l'intention véritable de l'auteur. Ce n'est qu'en replaçant ce passage dans son contexte, qui est celui d'un prooemium à toute la philosophie morale, qu'on peut en saisir le sens véritable : manifester le sujet de cette dernière en l'opposant à ceux de certaines autres sciences et en la présentant comme connaissance de l'ordre et sagesse.

The thesis deals teologic comparison of two patristic commentaries of the Sermon on the Plain from Gospel of Luke - by saint Ambrose and by saint Cyril of Alexandria. Both autors are excerpts from their commentaries of Gospel of Luke. At first are outlined life and literary work of both authors and later an analysis of both texts from the point of view of selected principal theological topics is made. After that the two theological views are compared to the Sermon on the Plain, outlining the initial idea of both autors.
