Kojenecká úmrtnost české populace / Infant mortality of the Czech population.

ŠEDIVÁ, Ivana January 2014 (has links)
The main objective of the present diploma thesis is to evaluate the development and spatial differentiation of infant mortality of the Czech population. In the scope of the research, our intent is to focus on various factors that might influence infant mortality and the values of which are accessible in public databases. The first partial objective was to evaluate the development of infant mortality of the Czech population in the 20th century and at the beginning of the 21st century. The second partial objective was to delineate specifics of the development of infant mortality in connection with the development of related social and economic characteristics. The third partial objective was to analyse regional differences of infant mortality within the scope of the Czech Republic. Finally, the fourth partial objective was to provide the breakdown of infant mortality. In the framework of the thesis, the following hypotheses have been stipulated: H1: Infant mortality is steadily on the decrease, H2: In the Czech Republic, there exist regional differences in infant mortality, influenced by economic, social and environmental factors, H3: The structure of infant mortality gradually changes towards the shift of the highest level of infant mortality at the beginning of life.It was possible to confirm hypothesis H1, which was examined within a quantitative research, using the moving average method - base and chain indexes. Infant mortality has been on the decrease as early as since the beginning of the 20th century in the Czech territory. The reduction in infant mortality is affected by changes in prenatal and early neonatal mortality, which fact was contributed to by quality prenatal and neonatal diagnostics of endogen causes of mortality. Accordingly, the trend of reduction in infant mortality continues, specifically up to the value of 2.6 , which was, as the lowest value, recorded in the year 2012. Similarly, it was possible to confirm hypothesis H2, tested within a quantitative research, using factor and cluster analyses, which have showed differences in factors (stability of social relationships, education of women, quality of healthcare, economic activity of women and their marital status, nationality and unemployment of women) in the scope of individual districts. It was moreover possible to confirm hypothesis H3, evaluated within a quantitative research and processed by means of simple descriptive indicators and graphs. The proportion of neonatal mortality in infant mortality stands at the average value of 62% for the period of 12 years. In consequence, we may assume that the proportion of neonatal mortality (28 days after birth) in infant mortality will constantly have an above-the-average value in the future. Based on the breakdown of infant mortality, it has been ascertained that chiefly the highest values are reached by early neonatal mortality (0 - 6 days) and it has a decreasing trend for the period of 12 years, reaching the average value of 1.26. This finding also confirms hypothesis H3, for the reason that early neonatal mortality is the component of neonatal mortality that has held the above-the-average proportion of infant mortality. In conclusion, we have conducted a correlation analysis of infant mortality with factors generated by the factor analysis. This analysis confirmed unambiguously that infant mortality is affected chiefly by the stability of social relationships and education of women. The no less important conclusion of the present thesis is seen in the fact that in the future, the society and experts engaged in problems of infant mortality should be more interested in researching various factors that influence infant mortality from both the positive and negative aspects. Findings of this diploma thesis may serve in practice as a background for any demographic research concerned with infant mortality.

Analýza faktorů ovlivňujících relativní tržní ocenění akcií / Analysis of factors influencing relative market stock valuation

Hanzl, Tobiáš January 2016 (has links)
The goal of this diploma thesis is to analyze P/S ratio using Gordon dividend discount model and also to prove hypothesis that assumes existing influence of margin, dividend payout ratio, future dividend growth and discount rate on P/S ratio value. The goal is also to find other factors that can influence relative market stock valuation. Multidimensional regression analysis and also factor analysis were used in order to get a proper knowledge of the factors. There are 781 stocks used in this work. This thesis proves influence of the mentioned variables and also other variables were found that help achieve deeper understanding of examined variable. Market valuation is a very complex matter and is influenced by numerous factors.

Statistická analýza mzdových diferencí u profesionálních sportovců / Statistical Analysis of Wages Diffraction of Professional Athletes

Chytka, David January 2011 (has links)
This paper is using the method multidimensional analysis of data on a group of variables which are characterized by the performance of professional athletes. The meaning of this is to find the correct dimension of data for broader quantification. In the theoretical part of this paper I am describing the main goals and the principles of factor and cluster analysis. Furthermore in this part they are broken down the preconditions for the correct use of instruments of the mentioned analysis and they are presented models of each method. In the practical chapter, first there is a comparison of athletes from five professional leagues from the perspective of the wages differential analysis, then with the help of factor analyses a reduction of data is made and from the used data from the finale model a new variable is set. In the last part of this paper I am dividing the objects into groups as described in the cluster analyses with the purpose of further analyzing these clusters.

Možnosti analýzy latentních tříd: případová studie diváků České televize / The Potential of Latent Class Analysis: the Czech Television Audience Case Study

Pospíšilová, Petra January 2017 (has links)
The thesis "The Potential of Latent Class Analysis: the Czech Television Audience Case Study" deals with latent class analysis and it's potential as a segmentation method. Three different approaches are examined - latent class analysis for joint data from six research waves, simultaneous latent class analysis for each wave separately and latent class analysis for joint data transferred into dichotomous form. The results of all three methods are compared through secondary analysis of data from case study focused on audience's perception of the Czech Television; their strong and weak points are described and the most suitable solution is chosen. Based on these findings, four identified segments of the audience are then interpreted from the point of their characteristic features and sociodemographic parameters. This paper is supported by works of classic authors in the area of latent class analysis; the thesis refers to their findings that also served as basis for composition of the research hypotheses.

Hedonistické motivace k nakupování - lokalizace škály do českého prostředí / Hedonistic motivations for shopping - scale localization

Ježek, Michal January 2018 (has links)
(abstract) The thesis deals with motivations for hedonistic type of shopping with a focus on their measurement by using a multidimensional scale designed and validated by Mark J. Arnold and Kristy E. Reynolds in 2003. This tool contains six constructs for which the author examined their transferability to the local environment of Czech consumers. The aim of the thesis was to convert the scale into the Czech language and into the context of the Czech consumers and their shopping behavior. There were analyzed cognitive interviews, which were focused on the understanding of the statements on the scale and their adjustment for the following questionnaire survey. This was conducted on a representative sample of the Czech internet population. Furthermore, statistical analysis was carried out with the focus on reliability and validity of the translated scale. Although the research does not primarily aim at creating a typology of shoppers or describing in detail the characteristics of Czech consumers, the results of the analysis indicate that Czech population's thinking about shopping is quite like of consumers in collectivist societies. At the end of the thesis, the final and modified scale is introduced containing five constructs instead of the original six. This instrument has been shown to be...

Ověření rytmických schopností u vysokoškolských studentů v oblasti vzdělávání tělesná výchova a sport / Verification of rhythmic abilities of university students in the field of education and physical education and sport

Kašparová, Alena January 2020 (has links)
The thesis is focused on creating a test battery for the sense of rhythm assessment for university students in the field of Physical Education and sport. Music-sports practice lacks such tests and so far it is forced to use only tests designed for the music field. The structure of the new tests corresponds to the characteristics of the sense of rhythm from the point of view of music psychology. The tests are divided into three sections, which are Perceptual Skills and Activities (items 1 to 18), Reproductive Skills and Activities (items 19 to 27) and Production Skills and Activities (item 28). The Classical test theory (factor analysis) and Item response theory (two-parametric model) were used for the statistical processing of results. The methods also included the calculation of the reliability and validity of the test. The expected refusal of the proposed hypothesis was confirmed in both the classical test theory and item response theory. The exception was model 4, whose fit indexes, especially TLI = 0.537, showed a lack of evidence for the refusal of the hypothesis rather than for a perfect fit of the model with the data. The aim of the research was to compile and test models whose conformity with the data would be the best. The most favorable conformity was for model No. 1 and No. 5. Model 1...

Smíšené módy sběru dat: PAPI a CAPI srovnání / Mixed mode data collection: PAPI and CAPI comparison

Pilecká, Jarmila January 2016 (has links)
Usage of mixed mode is popular among researchers mainly because of its flexibility and possibility of lowered costs, time and response bias. Therefore engagement in analysis of potential differences and problems is necessary mainly in mapping effects of these combinations. My diploma thesis focuses on possibilities of equivalence of mixed mode PAPI and CAPI collection of data. I use Multi-Group Confirmatory Factor Analysis (MG CFA) for analysing the equivalence of measurement. This is quite unusual method for analysing a mixed-mode and few researchers used it till now. Most of the studies focused on differences in answers of respondents caused by mode effect or cognitive process of answering the questions. Key words: Mixed mode design, equivalence, confirmatory factor analysis, CAPI and PAPI, mode effect

Optimalizace modelování gaussovských směsí v podprostorech a jejich skórování v rozpoznávání mluvčího / Optimization of Gaussian Mixture Subspace Models and Related Scoring Algorithms in Speaker Verification

Glembek, Ondřej January 2012 (has links)
