This research work seeks to investigate how they are posing and developing the introduction of the audiovisual world through this new narrative, fashion films, advertising and the reception that it has. Análisis Narratológico espacial y temporal del Fashion Film / Narratological spatial and temporal analysis of Fashion FilmMoreno Quiñones, Elizabeth Cristina 14 May 2021 (has links)
The present article analyzes the narratological patterns present in fashion films based on the selection of the Berlin Fashion Film Festival 2019. Fashion films are an advertising format that has been gaining greater notoriety in major brands. However, the researches that has been carried out on these are scarce in terms of an audiovisual approach. It seeks to identify patterns present in fashion films in order to awaken a greater interest in people related to the audiovisual field. On the other hand, despite the fact that narratology consists of different elements, this research focuses on analyzing only the narratological patterns regarding time and space. To achieve this, it was decided to conduct a quantitative research with content analysis. This in order to be able to contrast the results of one fashion film with another and thus be able to clearly identify the patterns. In the analyzed fashion films, various patterns of both time and space have been identified that confirm what was mentioned in some previous findings regarding the function of fashion film. However, what was identified with respect to time reflects data such as the constant use of slow motion and ellipsis, which is interesting to contrast with what was also found in previous research. This investigation has allowed us to know fashion films from a different perspective and with its result proposes their future study from various areas of the audiovisual and others. / Tesis

Female Friendship Films: A Post-Feminist Examination of Representations of Women in the Fashion IndustryGeloğullari, Gülin 12 1900 (has links)
This thesis focuses on three fashion industry themed female friendship films: Pret-a-Porter/Ready to Wear (1994) by Robert Altman, The Devil Wears Prada (2006) by David Frankel, and The September Issue (2009) by R.J. Cutler. Female interpersonal relationships are complex – women often work to motivate, encourage and transform one another but can just as easily use tactics like intimidation, manipulation, and exploitation in order to save their own jobs and reputations. Through the lens of post-feminist theory, this thesis examines significant female interpersonal relationships in each film to illustrate how femininity is constructed and driven by consumer culture in the fashion industry themed films.
