Kvinnors upplevelser av fertilitetsproblem i samband med cancer / Women’s experience of fertility issues associated by cancer

Bakgrund: Cancer kan leda till fertilitetsproblem genom cancerbehandling eller cancern själv. Fertilitetsproblem innebär att kvinnan inte kan bli gravid eller fullfölja en hel graviditet. Syfte: Syftet med studien var att belysa kvinnors upplevelser av fertilitetsproblem i samband med cancer. Metod: En allmän litteraturstudie genomfördes och baserades på nio resultatartiklar där sju var kvalitativa och två med mixad-metod. Samtliga artiklar granskades och analyserades för att hitta artiklar med hög vetenskaplig kvalitet. Resultat: Fyra kategorier skapades: Kvinnors känslor kring att ha fertilitetsproblem, En förändrad livsroll, Fertilitetsproblemens påverkan på parrelationen, Fertilitetsproblem - en barriär mot familjen. Resultatet visade att kvinnor upplevde mycket känslor kring fertilitetsproblem. Nära relationer kunde påverkas och kommunikation om ämnet upplevdes som svårt. Övergripande i resultatet framkom det att kvinnor upplever en enorm sorg och ett lidande på grund av sina fertilitetsproblem. Konklusion: Kvinnors liv påverkas negativt av fertilitetsproblem till följd av cancer, samt att relationen till såväl partner som familj påverkas på grund av fertilitetsproblem. / Background: Cancer can lead to fertility issues through cancer treatment or cancer itself. Fertility issues mean that the women can’t get pregnant or complete an entire pregnancy. Aim: The aim of the literature study was to illustrate women's experience of fertility issues associated with cancer. Method: A general literature study was conducted and was based on nine result articles where seven were qualitative and two were with a mixed method. All articles were reviewed and analyzed to find articles of high scientific quality. Results: Four categories were created: Women's feelings about having fertility issues, A changed life role, The impact of fertility issues on the relationship, Fertility issues - a barrier to the family. The results showed that women experienced a lot of feelings about fertility issues. Close relationships could be affected and communication on the subject was perceived as difficult. Overall, the results showed that women experience enormous grief and suffering due to their fertility issues. Conclusion: Women's lives are negatively affected by fertility issues as a result of cancer, and that the relationship with both partner and family is affected due to fertility issues.
