Baltské chtonické bytosti v komparativním přístupu / Baltic Chthonic Beings in Comparative Perspective

Vaverová, Naďa January 2015 (has links)
This thesis compares selected beings of Baltic folklore within a nearer Balto-Slavic areal after analysing them. It defines the term "chthonic" in accord with the current traditions and supplements it with additional traits, which it verifies afterwards. Using these traits the thesis consequently determines the chthonic properties of the beings. The comparations begin with velnias/velns, a being with assumed chthonic character, which is confirmed. The core of the thesis is dedicated to aivataras, whose mythopersonyma and appearance are examined first, followed by its functionality i.e. the plots it figures in. According to the plots aitvaras and its Baltic variants are compared with East- and West Slavic beings with focus at the plots of Czech demonologic fables. This establishes aitvaras and its equivalents posses strong serpentine traits and a relation to the revered spirits of dead ancestors. The results of this comparison are compared to previous research and some differing conclusions are presented, among them a proposal of a possible etymology of the mythopersonymum "aitvaras". No significant difference on the functional level has been discovered between the terms "aitvaras" and "kaukas". The last chapter concerns itself with the being called "laumė" and to her similar female deities and...

Jarošková, Karolína January 2015 (has links)
The aim of this thesis is to introduce the popular puppet theatre called Opera dei Pupi, which was developed mainly in Sicily in the second half of the 19th century. The first part desrcibes literary influences that nourished this tradition, from which puppeteers derived topics for their repertoire. These stories were primarily about the French king Charlemagne and his knights and were called paladins. I am trying to map the form of an adaptation of this topic for Opera dei Pupi needs and the way of connection with oral tradition. Furthermore I am going to mention the secondary repertoire of the theatre for example farce. Next chapter focuses on a formal side of the Opera dei Pupi including puppeteer's personality, his work and activities, structure of the theatre itself, characteristics of puppets and handling them. Furthermore this section also describes a specific concept of everyday's performances "to be continued" and how were these performaces organized in practice. The analytical part focuses on a process of putting plot on a scene, which includes both improvisation and fixed rules approach. The principal theme of this part is the so-called copione, which are the puppeteer's own handwritten notes, on which the show was based. Didaktický potenciál lidové umělecké tvorby pro žáky 1. stupně základní školy / Didactic Potentiality of Folk Art for Primary School Pupils

Agossa, Lucie January 2021 (has links)
The concept of this diploma thesis is based on folklore, folklorism, national art, folk customs and traditions, specifically in the region of Moravian Slovakia. In the theoretical part, I define these terms. I point out the misuse of folklore for political or advertising purposes. I introduce artists who have dealt with the processing of folklore in the visual arts, and at the same time I introduce contemporary artists who have been inspired by Moravian Slovakia folklore motifs. In the research part, I chose the method of structured interviews of five respondents active in the field of folklore, and my goal was to subsequently analyze these interviews and identify meaning nodes. What is most important for the respondents is not a surprise to me, but a confirmation and sorting of ideas so that it can be a solid basis for pedagogical activities. The practical part offers a pedagogical portfolio, which is verified in practice, and there is an effort to use its didactic potential in primary school. KEYWORDS folklore, folklorism, qualitative research, folk art, ornament, pedagogy, Moravian Slovakia, traditions and customs, art

Horáková, Kristýna January 2015 (has links)
Master's thesis describes the work of Bedřich Václavek in historical and sociological perspective. Bedřich Václavek was leading Marxist theorist, critic, esthetician, Germanist and folklorist. Its individual parts are treated at this thesis, like the evidence of his intellectual transformations over time. Emphasis is placed on a chronological line, which is accompanied by Václavek's work (criticism, theories, reflections, contributions in journals, collections and letter-writer). Thesis focuses primarily on the apparent controversy in his works, where it comes to transitions from one artistic direction of a second, while takes into account the historical background reflecting the social situation on which Václavek responds. Theses tried to offer a comprehensive view of the versatility of Václavek's works, but also for his detailed biography, especially from birth and throughout the study (until 1922), which is the period when constructing patriotic thoughts and relationship to folklore. Master's thesis offers a view of Václavek's contribution to the sociology of literature, what was the inspiration for some colleagues of Václavek and his followers. Key words: sociology of literature, Bedřich Václavek, criticism, social realism, folklore, Olomouc and Václavek.
