Hur kan man skapa något nytt som påminner om något gammalt på ett diskret vis? Kan man blanda stilar som är flera hundra år ifrån varandra och ändå skapa en harmoni? Denna uppsats handlar om hur gustavianska uttryck kan anpassas för att användas i moderna möbler för nutida hem. Uppsatsens fokus ligger i att redogöra för svenska gustavianska byråers karaktäristiska form och uttryck samt hur jag arbetat för att ta dessa till en modern möbel för nutida hem. För att detta ska göras på ett tydligt sätt kommer uppsatsen ge svar på vad som karaktäriserar både gustavianska och nutida byråer och liknande möbler, både i stiluttryck, form och design. Tanken är inte att skapa en kopia av en gustaviansk byrå utan att skapa en möbel för nutida svenska hem som är inspirerad av de gustavianska byråerna. För att detta ska kunna göras behöver man även en bild av vad som efterfrågas till våra hem idag.

<p>Avhandlingen har arbetats fram inom ramen för forskningsprofilen Innovation och Design. Temat är informationsdesign i samhällsinformation.</p><p>Texten tar utgångspunkt i utställningen Toppmötet och debatten går vidare… Utställningen används som en informationsartefakt genom hela avhandlingen. Ytterligare fallstudier inom samhällsinformation knyter an till utställningens tema om massmedier, politik och kommunikationen mellan medborgare och myndigheter.</p><p> Avhandlingen diskuterar metoden att studera informationsmaterial i tre kontexter: en inre kontext, en närkontext och en yttre kontext. I den inre kontexten studeras informationsmaterialets innehåll och språkliga utformning, i närkontexten den rumsliga och kommunikativa processen och i den yttre kontexten studeras informationsmaterialet i ett socialt och kulturellt sammanhang. Resultatet visar att ett kontextuellt synsätt på informationsmaterial är en framkomlig väg för forskningsarbete inom informationsdesign och att traditionen av kulturstudier ger en lämplig arbetsmetod för detta.</p>

The company is located in Halmstad and is an acting provider of wireless communications for industrial customers, mainly focused on Bluetooth™ technology.</p><p>In today's society most people have their music on their computer, MP3 player or mobile phone. What if you could avoid the cable between your sound system and sound source and transfer music wirelessly instead? </p><p>Together with the company's engineers, I have developed a new comprehensive product for wireless music transmission. My task was to design the outside of the product and then together with the firm's engineers and market agency, develop its external components from both an aesthetic and technical point of view. The electronics design was created by the company engineers.</p><p>The hope of profiling on the market set the bar from the beginning. Free2Move AB did not want to emphasize the project too hard in the beginning, it was the work that has led to what it is today. However, a strong emphasis was places on production ability and cost. Approximately in the middle of the project we realized that it would be impossible to launch the product. Competing products currently sell for around 600 SEK couple. We would have to sell our product for about 1500 SEK each. The economic factor has not prevented the thesis from attaining its original intent, but only changed it to a concept solution instead of going directly into production. Still, great consideration has been given to production ability and production cost. </p><p>The project included the design and product development. Therefore, I chose to work as much as possible according to SVID Design Process which is a process that is used as a model for design in product development.</p>

Förändring sker! Med en snabbt växande informationsspridning och teknikutveckling kommer vi möjligtvis behöva ändra vår syn på marknadsföring. Eller? Med detta arbete är syftet att undersöka hur marknadsföring går till idag och vilka marknadsföringskanaler som används. I arbetet läggs fokus på att tydliggöra en djupare uppfattning om marknadsförings-ämnet hos fyra informanter. Undersökningen genomförs med en teoribakgrund om viktiga delar inom marknadsföring, så som sociala medier och varumärkets roll i sammanhanget. Därefter utformas en enkät som skickas till de tillfrågade per mail. Informanterna delar med sig av deras uppfattningar kring deras egen marknadsföringsprofil. Med olika förutsättningar för verksamheten läggs det mer och mindre vikt vid olika delar i marknadsföringen hos de olika informanterna. Oberoende av examinationstid skiljer informanterna på hur de väljer att uttrycka sig i marknadsföringen. Fokus ligger på att framhäva ett tydligt bild- och formspråk, främja varumärket och förståelsen hos kunder, hitta rätt bärare och att skriva och visa bilder på egen tillverkning. Diskussionen förs i koppling till teoribakgrunden och om det finns samband med tidigare forskning och en bakomliggande anledning till val av marknadsföringskanaler. Finns det skillnader mellan att vara examinerad formgivare på 1900–talet kontra att vara examinerad som formgivare på 2000–talet.
