In the project Barn av vår tid (Children of our time), I have worked with Fryshuset in Malmo and created an interior concept which is designed to express Fryshusets identity, support and encourage its activities and to create a functional environment for young people as well as staff. The purpose of this concept is to help teenagers to feel involved, important and safe. Floor plan, materials and furniture is carefully adapted to support the activities of Fryshuset and to give young people a feeling of coming home. They are also of course chosen with care for the environment. I have studied interior branding, how the rooms can give a sense of security and homely atmosphere and how young people can actively participate in the design of the premises.

Empowered youth leading social change in local communitiesAmao, Shade January 2019 (has links)
Youth participation habits changes constantly. Efforts to keep up with new forms of political participation is seen in international organizations, national governments and the academic community. How do young people themselves regard their participation in these new forms? One alternative form of political participation is youth organizing. This study uses a multi-case research design by interviewing Kenyan and Swedish young people who have participated in one of two youth organizing programs, organized by the non-governmental organization Fryshuset. This study aimed to uncover what youth value with youth organizing as a participation form, what goals they have with their participation and how their self-organized initiatives reflect said goals, by applying theories on empowerment, delieration, agonistic pluralism and factors affecting political participation. What youth value with youth organizing is personal development, meeting new people and getting the opportunity to make a local impact. Furthermore the study found that the primary goal of their participation was to strengthen their local community. Finally the findings show how youth preferred deliberative means to achieve their goals.

Frihet under ansvar : En fallstudie om organisationsstyrning / Freedom under responsibilityMoritz, Frida January 2020 (has links)
The Bachelor thesis ”Freedom under responsibility” is based on the work of the foundation Fryshuset in Stockholm, Hammarby Sjöstad (HS) on the 8th floor. The foundation runs its operations in Sweden as well as internationally with the main focus being personal- growth and development of the youth. High trust levels in combination with holding great responsibilities enable the people of the foundation agility in their planning and execution in order to meet their objectives in a highly dynamic environment. This way of working is called freedom under responsibility and is greatly appreciated by the employees, however, lack of direction, accountability, and communication has been raised as an issue. The purpose of the study is to identify and clarify the problems that exist in the Fryshuset´s HS in the 8th floor 'Freedom under responsibility', in order to be able to improve and develop the working method. This thesis aims to analyze and evaluate the operation management strategies, leadership, and communication regarding direction, objective setting, planning, execution, and evaluation. The last part of the thesis contains recommendations for improvements of the operations of the foundation. The thesis result is based on data collected from Fryshuset's HS on the 8th floor documentation, interviews and survey. The result shows that one of the major problems in ‘Freedom under responsibility’ is the daily operations from the operation management. The recommendations for improvements is:• Improve the work to form the annual objective setting • Improve followup meetings / Examensarbetet ’Frihet under ansvar’ är inriktad på stiftelsen Fryshuset i Stockholm, Hammarby Sjöstad (HS) på våning 8.

Andlighet och religiositet på Fryshuset : en inblick i en senmodern och global förändringskontext / Spirituality and religion at Fryshuset : a glimpse of a late modern and global contextKjellsdotter Rydinger, Maria January 2010 (has links)

Furthermore they are also part of a "double subjective turn" understood as an internalized subjective turn. Despite the fact that a lot of what the informants describe corresponds to Heelas and Woodheads theories of "subjective life spirituality" it is not relevant to talk about a "spiritual revolution". However, according to Beckford´s theories about religion as a "cultural resource" it can be described as a kind of new spirituality which is used in order to act and think global. The individuals use religion and spirituality as a cultural resource in their formation of a larger cosmopolitan interpretation of life.</p>

The method used in this study is qualitative. The interviews are made of six individuals representing different social projects at Fryshuset. By analyzing the material from the field study through theories on religious change, three areas are identified: "The subjective turn" Religion and spirituality A Cosmopolitan interpretation of life The result of this study is that the religiosity among the interviewed can be described through Taylor’s understanding of the "subjective turn".
