Résider, circuler, habiter : l'intégration cosmopolite des migrants turcs en France / Dwelling, circulating, living : the cosmopolite integration of turkish immigrants in France

Sercen, Gokce Selen 07 December 2015 (has links)
This study concentrates on immigrants’ integration processes and methods through thesocio-spatial trajectories. It reveals the plurality of the manners of the migrants participationto the society within the context of their immigration projects, socio-economic andgeographical origins and the historical relations between their origin countries and France. The analysis of the residential courses of the immigrants from Morocco, Portugal and Turkeyand owners of their residents within the agglomeration in Bordeaux, indicates two principalintegration models: individual, when human capital is elevated and collective, when theinsufficient human capital is balancing through the social community capital. This lastsituation is common in Turkish population met during this study. Based on the case ofTurkish migration, this thesis supports the possibility of the collective integration of which thebinding factor is ethnic networks. The economic integration based on ethnical networks andsocial participation developed by the community dynamics, enable a two-way integration. This double local and transnational integration creates economic, social and even politicalconnections between two countries.

Case studies of Zaouiat Ahansal (High Atlas, Morocco) and Zanskar (Himalaya, India)

Goeury, David 29 November 2011 (has links)
Through the study of Zaouiat Ahansal (Central High Atlas, Morocco) and Zanskar (Himalaya, India), the process of globalization has been discussed for the most marginalized areas that are the landlocked valleys of high mountain of developing countries. These two areas appear in the same geohistorical configuration. Bypassed by modern national infrastructure, these areas retain a very high infant and maternal mortality and very low literacy rates. However, from the western perspective, these valleys are considered as agrarian paradise. Their isolation is then enhanced by specific activities such as research in social sciences, outdoor sports and humanitarian commitment. Zaouïat Ahansal and Zanskar are areas invested by neo-adventurers who want to become gate-keepers between these valleys and their home society. These two valleys become global heterotopias or confined spaces mirroring global cities. Their progressive development through tourism and the growing role of the state ensure standardization of these valleys. However, a new class of transnational actors that we call global convivial class combines with NGOs to maintain specificity into these valleys. The relationship between authority, law and territory are renegotiated in a cosmopolitan frame to maintain “diversiality” of these valleys. This project is far from receiving the consensus of all people and requires the imposition of protected area status. Then, the two high valleys retain their status as heterotopia, their material isolation being extended by an ideal isolation.

The new political social scope of contemporary States calls for a new overview of constitutionalism, a restructure of its concept. Thus the research is divided into three parts, related to the past, the present and the future, but concerning not only the developing process of Constitutions - as that would be an intricate task, having in mind that this process has continuous and discontinuous paths. The goal is not to trace the history of constitutionalism, but rather connect it with another theory, referred to as cosmopolitism. First, common characteristics are verified, showing that, even though there is no mixture or fusion, it would be possible to find similarities. Starting from cynic ones all the way to Kant’s unfinished ideal of peace and universal hospitality. Later, we turn to the analysis of the connection between the present and the future of constitutionalism, without forgetting that these periods comprehend the peak of globalization and the growing of cosmopolitism. In this manner, it is observ

Mazzardo, Flavia da Luz January 2016 (has links)
Since ancient times Cosmopolitanism has been approached as a goal to be pursued by humanity. Throughout the history several studies have been realized, among which the ideals of Immanuel Kant stand out. For this, the text is divided into two parts. In the first part, we will analyze Cosmopolitan Theory and Cosmopolitan Normative Theory. Also, the Butterfly Effect, an early part of Chaos Theory, and its applicability to the science of Law, will be exhibited. In the second part, a brief analysis of the theoretical framework of international law will be carried out, through the historical perspective of the formation of the European Union and Mercosur Economic Blocks. The purpose is to verify the possible progression of the Blocks to a Cosmopolitan State, through the means of legal approximation. It is an interdisciplinary view, since the legal perspective will be confronted with Chaos Theory, based on the Theory of Classical Mechanics.

O cosmopolitismo-caipira de Cornélio Pires: rebatidas de um intelectual genuinamente paulista / The cosmopolitanism-countryside of Cornelio Pires: rebounds of a genuinely São Paulo intellectual

The present research results from the established research about the social trajectory of Cornélio Pires (1884-1958). Writer, musician, lecturer, folklorist, director, poet, journalist, Cornélio Pires was a multiple artist and sought to treat the countryside culture in its diversity. His main works in the most different media in which he acted worked from the perspective of a militant regionality-national about the rural and the countryside’s communities. From the analysis of the creative imagination of the individual in the constitution of his strategies of subjectivization, that is, of the elements that composed their process of individuation and socialization, aims to understand the indissoluble connections between individual and society. By using the biographical perspective articulated to the ethnographic procedure, more than knowing the life of Cornélio Pires, this study seeks to reveal the plots, the entanglements, the interactions with people, policies, cultures, institutions expressed in their social trajectory. It is only from this apprehension that it will be possible to understand his aspirations, behaviors and attitudes in the civilizing process of the São Paulo modernity. Chronology is an ally, but not the ultimate end of the research because the focus is on understanding the process, the senses and meanings learned during the experience of scientific research on an ordinary individual. Much of Cornélio Pires's life occurred in a temporality engendered by antinomies such as countryside and city, archaic and modern, rural and urban, primitive and civilized, hillbilly and cosmopolitan. His position in the face of this convulsive reality was precisely in the inter-place of modernity. The social place occupied by Cornélio Pires was, precisely, the interstices of the civilizational process, in which he articulated the transposition of different temporalities, realities, and identities that, even when contrasted in the dominant discourses, became imbricated and visible in the social environment. From this study, it will be possible to perceive that neither individual nor society presents themselves as coherent and organized totalities, on the contrary, express themselves in constant configuration, interchangeable experiences, procedural elements between the lived and the thought (or imagined).
