Syftet med den här studien är att få en förståelse för om och hur hemtjänstpersonal ser ensamhet hos äldre brukare under rådande covid-19 pandemi.Vi har utgått från den kvalitativa metoden som innebär att våra informanter fått återge sin syn på de äldres tillvaro under pandemin utifrån sin erfarenhet och kompetens. Vårt arbete har också en deduktiv ansats där vi utgått från tidigare teorier lämpliga för vår undersökning och analys. Från två olika regioner utfördes intervjuer med sammanlagt nio personal ur hemtjänsten med undersköterskeutbildning och mångårig erfarenhet i yrket.I vårt arbete har vi beskrivit de olika begreppen ensamhet, äldre, hemtjänst och covid-19 pandemi, begrepp som behöver vara tydliga för att ha förståelse för syftet med undersökningen.I vårt arbete har vi redogjort för ett urval av teorier samt dess koppling till vår analys som bygger på informanternas svar.Resultatet och analysen visar att de äldre har utsatts för en föränderlig tillvaro under pandemin, där deras annars begränsade nätverk kommit att upphöra och endast bestå av hemtjänstens besök. De dagliga samtalen med personalen har vart extra viktiga, trots att de äldre upplevt det jobbigt när personalen besöker deras hem med skyddsutrustning för att inte riskera smitta. Hemtjänstpersonalen upplever att deras besök är ännu mer betydelsefulla nu under pandemin än de var tidigare. / The purpose of this study is to gain an understanding of whether home care staff see loneliness in elderly patients during the current covid-19 pandemic.We have started from the qualitative method, which means that our respondents have been able to express their views on the elderly's existence during the pandemic based on their experience and competence.Our work also has a deductive approach where we have based on previous theories suitable for our investigation and analysis.Interviews were conducted from two different regions with a total of nine staff from the home care service with assistant nurse training and many years of experience in the profession.In our work, we have described the various concepts of loneliness, elderly, home care and covid-19 pandemic, concepts that need to be clear in order to have an understanding of the purpose of the study.In our work, we have reported on a selection of theories and its connection to our analysis, which is based on the informants' answers.The results and the analysis show that the elderly have been exposed to a changing life during the pandemic, where their otherwise limited network has come to an end and only consists of home care visits. The daily conversations with the staff have been extra important, despite the fact that the elderly have found it difficult when the staff visit their homes with protective equipment in order not to risk infection. The home care staff feel that their visits are even more significant now during the pandemic than they were before.
