The technological and innovational developments in steel and glass industries has enabled designers to create completely transparent faç / ades. Building faç / ade articulations designed to attain maximum transparency, have thus been executed with the contribution of elegant steel supporting systems, having heavy load bearing capacities, by minimizing the dimensions of structural systems. The aim of this study was to define, analyze and evaluate the accumulated knowledge on structural glass wall systems in general, with particular emphasis on those that may be denoted as & / #8218 / spider& / #8482 / glass fitting elements for potential applications, to formulate a design guide for professional designers. Hence, the primary elements of the system / the support structure, glass, glass connection joints and the other secondary elements have been evaluated within the architectural context.
In the second part of the study, glass connection fitting elements were examined. Additionally the products developed by the manufacturing firms and commonly used in various projects were evaluated. Thereafter, whole document, data, photos of the spider fittings were combined in a spider fitting selection table, prepared and created by the author, which describes the types of spider fittings in detail.
Finally, technical adequacy, experience, level of organization and workmanship within the context of Turkey, to evaluate the level of knowledge, were studied. In this regard, the glass wall facade the Akman Condomunium Business Center-Medicorium building, constructed with local materials and local manufacturing companies, was examined and compared with the Boeing Headquarters building in USA, which was constructed with a similair glass wall facade system.

The thesis deals with the design and structural assessment of the swimming pool object in Dobruška. The solved structure has been chosen of the 2 preliminary variants. The dimensions of the rectangular floor plan are 34,10x40,99 m and the height of the ridge is 13,83 m. The structural system consist of two-hinged arched trusses which are connected with solid-web purlins and girts. The spatial rigidity is provided by combination of longitudinal and sway bracings. The cladding comprises of Kalzip roof system and a glass facade.

The subject of the diploma project is the design of new townhall building of district Brno – The north. The townhall is designed at the place of existing barracks and the urbanistic plan of whole area was the previous school work. The townhall as a new centre of the district is dominant in its location, the main motive is openness and permeability. The volume is created from two basic cubes with offices which define public space between with indoor public square and specific volumes of halls in dynamic composition. Communication structure is formed by footbridges and staircaises connecting all volumes. The building combines reinforced concrete and steel structure and is covered by glass shell around.

The topic of the diploma thesis is the design of a new Brno main railway station in the position "The River" (Ac), which was selected from several variants of the reconstruction of the Brno railway junction (ŽUB). The aim of this work is to create an architectural and urban concept, the function of which will be an important contribution to the development of the city of Brno, improving the traffic situation and comfort of the general public or residents of the new adjacent district Trnitá. The solved area is located in the cadastral area of Komárov, Štýřice and Trnitá. The height dominant is represented here by the Europoint building (115 meters). It is located in the axis of the new boulevard, at the other end of which we can see the picturesque Petrov. The main entrance glass hall is adjacent to Europoint. Public facilities are located in the front station area. North of Europoint, it is a smaller building with the function of start-up workshops and offices. Towards the river there are the pre-station square and the public transport terminal. The last building is a hotel with leisure activities. The end of the pre-station area by the river is designed with a park arrangement. It is important to connect to the bike path leading along the river. The river is widened at this point and a smaller accessible island is inserted into it. The new railway body is determined by the binding base of SŽDC, which contains the track on the embankment and on the bridge structure at the level of 7,1 meters above the level of the surrounding terrain. The solved part is bounded by two embankments, which will probably be created as massive reinforced concrete walls. The bridge structure lying between these embankments has dimensions of approximately 154x368 meters, which corresponds to the area of 8 football fields. The bridge deck will be drawn on columns of the given raster. The basic principle in the design of the new main station is simplicity, readability and functionality.
