Analýza investičního cyklu v ČR v letech 2000 - 2012 / Analysis of the investment cycle in the Czech Republic in the years 2000 - 2012

Faltus, Milan January 2013 (has links)
The theme of this thesis is to analyze the development of the investment cycle in the Czech Republic in the years 2000-2012 and clarify the impact of defined development determinants of the investment. In the thesis, the investment environment in, which investors make decisions, is described and which the economic policy of the state affects. After the contribution analysis of individual growth components of GDP, the following statistically oriented section examines the level of investment, investment determinants and their mutual connection with GFCF. The work also contains an alternative view on the investment in the production sector, with the help of G. Reisman's GDR indicator. Finally, there are introduced others, not so well quantifiable factors that may also influence the formation and development of the investment cycle.

Hospodářský cyklus v zemích Visegradské čtyřky / Economic cycle in Visegrad Group countries

Krausová, Iveta January 2013 (has links)
The aim of Master's thesis is to analyse the economic development of member states of Visegrad group and to provide subsequent comparison of observed indicators. The Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary and Poland are connected by common history and effort to overcome all difficulties of economic transformation and then start its economic development in conditions of market economy. The theoretical part explains and qualifies the selected macroeconomic indicators. Economic development is interpreted on basis of these indicators. These are gross domestic product and its components, inflation rate, unemployment rate, current account of balance of payment to GDP and public debt to GDP. Furthermore the theoretical part contains information relating to business cycle, the group V4 and starting economic conditions of the countries. The practical part firstly discusses the development of individual countries of V4 separately in particular periods. Detailed analysis of the financial management of all four countries is followed by the summarization of received information and comparison of economic development. The conclusion of practical part outlines the expected economic development in order to give an idea where the countries are heading to.

Arctic Soils in a Warming Climate: Plot-scale Changes of CO2 Fluxes after Five Years of Experimental Warming.

Schröer, Cosima January 2020 (has links)
Terrestrial arctic ecosystems store large amounts of carbon (C). With global warming, this C might be released into the atmosphere as CO2 by stimulation of soil microbial degradation. At the same time, CO2 uptake in plants is enhanced, which might, in parts, offset CO2 losses. Yet, the future balance of these two contrasting feedbacks remain uncertain. This study aimed to better understand changes of input and output CO2 fluxes in an arctic tussock tundra ecosystem in response to global warming, with a special focus on the contrast between two sub-ecosystem habitats, the tussocks and the space between tussocks.  An experimental setup was used, where snow fences simulated winter warming by increasing snow depth, and open top chambers simulated summer warming. Daytime ecosystem respiration (ER), reflecting the outward CO2 flux, gross ecosystem production (GEP), reflecting the inward CO2 flux, and net ecosystem exchange (NEE), reflecting the net balance of both, were measured in the summer 2019 in the tussock and the intertussock habitat. In the tussock, both ER and GEP were as twice as high compared to the intertussock and increased with summer warming in a similar magnitude, resulting in an unchanged NEE. Fluxes in the intertussock were not altered with summer warming. Winter warming had no significant effects on ER and GEP in neither of the habitats. However, winter warming increased NEE and green biomass in the intertussock, indicating that in this habitat, plants benefit from warmer winter soil temperatures. Interaction effects of winter and summer warming underline the role of ecological processes outside the summer season, which are to date poorly understood. Contrasting responses of the two sub-ecosystem habitats highlight the challenges in predicting future C balances that are caused by small-scale spatial and temporal heterogeneity of C dynamics.

Ein automatisches Verfahren für geodätische Berechnungen

Lehmann, Rüdiger January 2015 (has links)
This contribution describes an automatic method, which can be applied to classical geodetic computation problems. Starting from given input quantities (e. g. coordinates of known points, measurements) computation opportunties for all other relevant quantities are found. For redundant input quantities a multitude of different computation opportunties exists, which are all found automatically, and their results are computed. If the computation is non-unique, but only a finite number of solutions exist, then all solutions are found and computed. By comparison of the different computation results there is the opportunity to detect gross errors in the input quantities and to produce a robust final result. The method does not work stochastically, so no stochastic model of the observations is required. The description of the algorithm is illustrated with the help of examples. The method was implemented as a webserver script and is available for free in the internet.

Dopady metody tvorby a zúčtování opravných položek banky na její hospodaření

Pečinková, Lucie January 2020 (has links)
The diploma thesis deals with the creation of loans provisions in banks. The need for adjustments is based on the existence of credit risk and this thesis presents techniques of credit risk measurement and applied credit risk indicators. Before calculating provisions, it is necessary to classify receivables, whose parameters are also discussed in the thesis. The practical part focuses on methods of calculating provisions. The method of coefficients, discounted cash flow method and statistical methods are compared. Markov model and gross roll rate model were selected from statistical methods. The findings were evaluated and recommendations were made based on the findings.

Grit and beliefs about intelligence: the relationship and role these factors play in the self-regulatory processes involved in medical students learning gross anatomy

Fillmore, Erin Paige 05 1900 (has links)
Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis (IUPUI) / Background: Gross anatomy is a foundational medical school course upon which other courses and patient care is grounded; however, variability in student performance suggests potential in studying underlying non-academic factors to explain some of these inconsistencies. Thus, this study examined medical students’ implicit theories of intelligence (ITI) and grit in order to better understand student learning outcomes in gross anatomy. Methods: A mixed methods study was conducted using 2nd, 3rd, and 4th year medical students who successfully completed gross anatomy. Students (n=382) completed the ITI Scale and Short Grit Scale in order to identify individual’s ITI and grit scores. Subsequent interviews (n=25) were conducted to explore how medical students set goals, operated while reaching those goals, and monitored their progress in achieving those goals. Results: Entity and incremental theorists with high grit performed significantly better in gross anatomy when compared to those with low grit. Further, highly gritty incremental and entity theorists were hard workers and showed resilience in the face of challenges. Specifically, those with an entity ITI had the central goal of getting an honors grade, while those with an incremental ITI desired to understand and apply their anatomical knowledge. Conversely, low grit individuals became overwhelmed by challenges, were more likely to show an inconsistent work ethic, and questioned their ability to master the material. An individual’s ITI, more so than grit, drove the presence of negative emotions in a medical student, with entity theorists feeling anxious and vulnerable, and incremental theorists feeling fewer negative emotions. Finally, grit level moderated how a medical student would respond to negative emotions, with highly gritty individuals exhibiting more constructive coping mechanisms. Conclusions: These findings suggest that medical students who possess high grit and an incremental theory of intelligence have the most effective learning strategies, set achievable goals, and enlist effective coping mechanisms while learning gross anatomy. The findings and tools used in this study could be incorporated into the medical school admissions process. Finally, findings reinforce the value of examining the ITI and grit of medical students, as they can provide educators with insight regarding important non-academic factors driving learning in gross anatomy.
