Penetration Testing and PrivacyAssessment of Top-RankedHealth and Fitness Apps : An Empirical Study / Penetrationstestning och Integritetsbedömning av Toppklassade Hälso-och Fitnessappar : En Empirisk StudieForsberg, Albin January 2024 (has links)
Mobile health applications (mHealth apps), particularly in the health and fitness category, have experienced an increase in popularity due to their convenience and availability. However, this widespread adoption has raised concerns regarding the security and privacy of user data within these apps. This study investigates the security and privacy risks associated with ten top-ranked Android health and fitness apps, a set which accounts for 237 million downloads. By utilizing tools such as MobSF, Qualys SSL, and CLAUDETTE, we performed a static, dynamic, server-side, and privacy policy analysis in order to gain comprehensive insights into the security and privacy posture of the investigated mobile health and fitness apps. The results from the analysis revealed vulnerabilities in coding practices, hardcoded sensitive information, insecure encryption configurations, misconfiguration, and extensive domain communication. For instance, our analysis revealed that all apps stored their database API key directly in the code, with eight apps additionally exposing the database URL. Furthermore, six apps employed insecure encryption methods, such as CBC mode with PKCS5/PKCS7 padding (five apps) and ECB mode (two apps). In total, the apps interacted with 404 distinct domains. Notably, two apps communicated with more than 230 domains each, while a third app connected with over 100 domains. Despite these findings, developers demonstrated improved awareness and proficiency in addressing privacy and security risks compared to previous studies in the field. The study underscores the importance of continuous research to comprehensively understand the security and privacy landscape of health and fitness apps.

Význam Boscova testu při určení zdravotně orientované zdatnosti adolescentů / The relevance of Bosco test in objectivisation of health related fitness in age category adolescentsČaba, Ladislav January 2015 (has links)
Title: The relevance of Bosco test for determination of healthy oriented efficiency adolescents Objective: The main objective is to find and describe the relationship of Bosco test (60 s) to a specific level of health-related fitness among adolescents based on the comparison of the output parameter of Bosco test and test items EUROFIT at physically active and inactive boys and girls. The partial objectives are to describe the influence of anthropometric parameters, gender and competence to physically active people on the current level of power parameters of the lower limbs. Methods: The dissertation has the character of empirical research, it is a descriptive study in which the research has a nature of the association, ie., that the required data are obtained by observation. The study was carried out on a group of purposefully selected probands n=100 age 18.40 ± 0.83 years, a period of adolescence. In the study group was equal representation of boys n=50 (age 18.50 ± 0.84 years) and girls n=50 (age 18.38 ± 0.82 years). Anaerobic capacity and power parameters of the lower extremities were determined by a standardized jumping Bosco test (60 s). The results of laboratory and anthropometric survey results were referenced by a test battery EUROFIT, which provides information on health-related fitness....

Consumer behaviour typology of members of health and fitness centresReeler, Rachelle Tanith 02 1900 (has links)
Abstracts in English, Afrikaans and Xhosa / Consumers are an important part of business and understanding their behaviour, wants, and
needs plays a vital role in the success of any business. This study focussed on the health and
fitness industry in South Africa and the consumers making use of their services, as well as the
non-users of these services. The primary objective of this study is to develop a consumer typology
for health and fitness centres, based on the consumer behaviour of its members. Non-gym
member responses were also solicited. A questionnaire was developed and sent out via email
and Facebook, using convenience and snowball sampling to gather quantitative data. In total,
209 responses were received of which 98 were gym members and 111 not. Various statistical
analyses were conducted on the data. A factor analysis was done to create a more manageable
number of variables, while a cluster analysis was done to indicate whether certain profiles existed
within the data. Cross-tabulations were carried out on the profiles to identify any significant
differences in terms of their consumer behaviour. A T-test was performed to determine whether
any differences existed regarding the choice of a specific health and fitness centre, while two
binary logistical regressions were done to identify which factors could predict gym membership.
The results indicated that two distinct gym member profiles, and two non-gym member profiles,
could be identified.
Badiriši ke karolo ye bohlokwa ya kgwebo gomme go kwešiša maitshwaro a bona, dihlokwa le
