Návrh experimentu pro řešení inverzní úlohy vedení tepla / Design of Experiment for Inverse Heat Transfer Problem

Horák, Aleš January 2011 (has links)
this thesis complex inverse heat transfer problem, which is focused on optimal design of experiment, is studied. There are many fields and applications in technical practice, where inverse tasks are or can be applied. On first place main attention is focused on industrial metallurgical processes such as cooling of continues casting, hydraulic descaling or hot rolling. Inverse problems are in general used to calculate boundary conditions of differential equations and in this field are used to find out Heat Transfer Coefficient (HTC). Knowledge of numerical approximation of precise boundary conditions is nowadays essential. It allows for example design of optimized hot rolling mill cooling focused on material properties and final product quality. Sequential Beck’s approach and optimization method is used in this work to solve inverse heat transfer problems. Special experimental test bench measuring heat transfer intensity was developed and built to full fill specific requirements and required accuracy. There were four different types of thermal sensor applied and studied. Those sensors are in usage in Heat Transfer and Fluid Flow laboratory (Heatlab) at various experimental test benches. Each specific sensor was tailored in Heat Transfer and Fluid Flow Laboratory to specific metallurgical application. Fist type of sensor was designed to simulate cooling during continuous casting. Second sensor is used for experiments simulate hot rolling mill cooling, while third sensor is designated for experiments with fast moving hot rolled products. Last sensor is similar to sensor type one, but thermocouple is located parallel to cooled surface. Experimental part of this study covers series of measurements to investigate Heat Transfer Coefficient (HTC) for various types of coolant, cooling mixtures and spray parameters. Results discovered in this study were compared with published scientific articles, and widely extend the knowledge of cooling efficiency for commonly used

Hejný, Lukáš January 2015 (has links)
This thesis deals with the solution problem of fitting a window in the wall, especially for passive houses. It provides options to optimize the window connection joints, improve the thermal transmittance of the window frame, thereby reducing the total heat loss through the window. In the first part of the thesis is a research literature on the windows and heat technical and physical mechanisms. Are described equations and physical processes taking place in the windows and related building structures. This section describes the basic points in history, technical description of windows, etc. and present ways of assembly Installation the window and the influence of the thermal properties of the heat loss. The next part deals with the description of the work and the results obtained in the course of doctoral study. Describes the main objectives of the dissertation thesis, calculations and simulations of temperature fields and the results of the calculated values. Furthermore are described and analyzed measurement data and compared with the calculated values. At the end dissertation thesis are given opportunities to improve the current solution regarding the heat transfer coefficient of the frame, the optimal way of installation fillers windows in the perimeter wall and improve the thermal properties of the connecting joint.

Renovace budovy s ohledem na její eneregetickou náročnost / Renovation of the building with respect to energy demands

Balíková, Anna Unknown Date (has links)
The diploma thesis deals with the solutions of the renovation of a panel apartment building with regard to energy efficiency. The theoretical part deals with heat pumps. The acquired knowledge was subsequently applied in the computational part, where the energy assessment of the current state of the apartment building and the design of two possible variants of renovation are addressed. The aim of the first variant is the renovation of the building to meet classification class C using the possible funds. The second variant is focused on the technical equipment of the building and primary energy from renewable sources, so that the apartment building reaches classification class A. Both proposed variants are assessed from both an energy and financial point of view. The project part then contains certificates of energy intensity of individual variants of the building.

V.S. Devahdhanush (13119831) 21 July 2022 (has links)
<p>This study comprises experimental investigations and theoretical/empirical analyses of three forced-convective (pumped) boiling schemes: (i) confined round single jet and jet array impingement boiling, and flow boiling through conventional-sized (ii) concentric circular annuli and (iii) rectangular channels. These schemes could be utilized in the thermal management of various applications including high-heat-flux electronic devices, power devices, electric vehicle charging cables, avionics, future space vehicles, etc.</p>

Temperature Based Estimation of the Time-Resolved Massflux of ICE Exhaust Gas Flow

Khedekar, Mayur January 2021 (has links)
The aim ofthe study was to provideinformation and experience gained with fine wire thermocouples (TCs)or resistance wire thermometers (RWTs) temperature signals to estimate the timeresolved heat transfercoefficient. Constant current method was assumed in the study and medium used in this study was air. Here the heat balance equation has been described, different Nucorrelations and further discusses potential hurdles and difficulties one may encounter while calculating heat transfer coefficient. As asolution, the use of an appropriate heatbalance equation and lowpass filter was suggested as this provides a more accurate fitting. The investigation was carried out for Reynolds number (Re) 103 to 107 and Prandlt number (Pr) 0.734. The impact of the Re and Pr on the Nusselts number (Nu) around a cylinder was represented and all the results were compared with GT-POWER engine simulation software.

The aim of this diploma thesis is to get acquainted with modern technological elements currently used in shell-and-tube heat exchanger in the shell-side and tube-side, thermal-hydraulic calculation of selected elements and comparison of thermal-hydraulic properties with classically used competing technological elements. The work deals mainly with EM baffle in the tube-side and tube inserts like the twisted tape type (and its modifications) and coiled wire in the tube-side. The theoretical part is focused on acquaintance with classical technological elements in shell-and-tube heat exchanger and with basic thermal-hydraulic calculations, practical part then on acquaintance with modern elements and thermal-hydraulic calculation of selected elements. These calculations are then compared with the results of the thermo-hydraulic calculation of similar elements.

Aplikace VBA (Visual Basic for Application) a Maple na problémy procesního inženýrství / VBA and Maple application in process engineering problematics.

Farkač, Daniel January 2009 (has links)
The task of the diploma thesis named VBA and Maple Application on Process Engineering Problems is to show the possibilities of using these programming languages for various engineering tasks. Particularly the programming language Visual Basic for Application (VBA), which is a part of MS Office package, is very little used in practise. That´s why this thesis solves the complex task of a furnaces design process; the topic was reccomended by the supervisor prof. Ing. Josef Kohoutek, CSc. Specifically, the thesis deals with calculations of heat transfer and optimization of the height of extended surfaces of tubes in the convection section of process furnaces. The entire task is elaborated in VBA and runs in Excel. After entering the input information, the created program first calculates the size and heat output of the convection section, but it can also optimize the height of extended surfaces in different parts of the convection section and thus minimize investment costs.
