This diploma thesis serves as experimental proof of real world capabilities of computer designed hobby CNC milling machine with its parts printed on a 3D printer. First half is a brief introduction of CNC technologies to non-professional audience. Second part together with 3D model works as manual to build your own machine. Priority was to keep costs to minimum with decent accuracy still in mind.

This Ethnological study, based on interviews with 8 pensioners with photography as a hobbyaims at finding the reasons the pensioners indicate are vital to them choosing photography asa hobby. The theoretical framework consists of Arnold Van Gennep’s ideas about Rites ofPassage and Gilles Deleuze’s theories of Becoming as a way to understand transitions in life.The results indicate that most of the interviewed persons seem to make a rather seamlesstransition from working life into retirement. The ones bringing their photo-hobby with themfrom earlier in life seem to make the smoothest transition of all.

This thesis is an evaluation of the use the USLE to estimate soil loss from two pastoral land uses - commercial properties and "hobby farms" in Murrumbateman. Sensitivity analysis was used to evaluate the USLE components. Sediment measurement in farm dams was taken to estimate sediment yield from several sites, as an alternative approach to study soil loss. The annual soil loss from entire study area was 0.25 t/ha/year whilst these figures from commercial properties and hobby farms were 0.29 t/ha/year and 0.21 t/ha/year, respectively. The annual average sediment yield from three catchments in hobby farms was 0.3 t/ha/year. The USLE was found to be highly sensitive to slope steepness, ground cover and stocking rates. The critical values were 16% for slopes, 35% for the ground cover and 19 Dry Sheep Equivalent/ha for stocking rate. I tentatively conclude that the USLE is sufficiently sensitive to detect differences in soil loss between the two land uses. There is, however, a need to improve the operation of the model in some respects. The use of farm dams for estimating sediment yield also shows promise.

Alla människor har någon gång i livet kommit i kontakt med en tränare eller instruktör inom någon form av idrott. Det kan handla om den ideella föräldern som ansvarar för bollkull inom fotbollsklubben till den utbildade professionella golftränaren. De flesta människor med ett “vanligt” 8-17 jobb tänker nog i positiva tankar när det kommer till de människor som lyckas förena sin hobby/passion med ett betalt yrkesliv. I flera år har det pratats om den teknologiska utvecklingen som på flera sätt har påverkat hur dagens arbetsliv ser ut och inkräktar i allt större grad på privatlivet. Begreppet Work-Life balance som på svenska kallas livspusslet har alla verksamma inom yrkeslivet stött på. Det forskars mycket i hur den teknologiska tillgängligheten och flexibiliteten kan hjälpa eller stjälpa individens känsla av balans i livspusslet. Vi ställde oss frågan hur ser det ut för en yrkesgrupp som inte har påverkats i samma omfattning av den teknologiska utvecklingen, golftränarna på de svenska golfklubbarna. Golfspelet kräver fortfarande en fysisk närvaro på en golfbana eller träningsanläggning, det är inget som kan utföras via en smart phone eller surfplatta. Vi har genomfört en kvantitativ studie för att undersöka hur golftränarnas arbetssituation ser ut. Är de själva nöjda eller finns det en baksida med att arbeta med sin passion. Studien har genomförts utifrån befintlig forskning från främst USA och speciellt anställda inom den amerikanska college idrotten. Det verkar som om det aldrig tidigare har forskats i hur golftränarna har det. Vi har inte lyckats hitta någon undersökning eller studie där respondenterna har varit golftränare i alla fall. Studiens resultat visar på en omfattande arbetsbelastning under en intensiv period som påverkar golftränarens möjlighet för att uppnå en balans i sitt livspussel. Majoriteten av de 209 deltagande golftränarna i studien uppger att det klagas i stor omfattning från familjemedlemmarna över den arbetstid de lägger ned i arbetet. I studien uppger mer än åtta utav tio tränare att de arbetar 45 timmar eller mer per vecka i genomsnitt under perioden 1:a maj till 31:a augusti.

The main content of the thesis is the analysis of elective mathematics lessons including examples of the tasks. This work could be useful mainly to teachers of primary elective mathematics. It is divided into two parts. The first one deals with the main theory. The second part is based on the analysis of particular lessons and tasks. The work also contains a set of tasks suitable for primary pupils.

This thesis deals with strategic analysis of the company Hornbach Baumarkt CS, s.r.o. Thesis is divided into a theoretical part which contains basic definitions, methods and tools for strategic analysis. This knowledge are subsequently used in the practical part. After the company introducing, the external and internal environment of the company is gradually analyzed and includes a PEST analysis and Porter model of five competitive forces. I tis followed by a breakdown of business resources, financial and portfolio analysis of the company which is focused on a private label strategy. Completion is a SWOT analysis, which shows the strengths and weaknesses of company and also reveals the opportunities and threats that affect the company from the outside. Thesis ends by proposing strategic recommendations arising from the implementation of the strategic analysis.

The goal of the thesis is to design a modeling CNC milling machine for machining of aluminum alloys including necessary calculations and drawing documentation. In the first part there is defined a CNC milling machine and there is a search in the area of small CNC milling machines that are present on the market. In the second part is the design including the computational documentation.
