Trychtýřová anténa integrovaná do textilu / Textil Integrated Horn Antenna

Jaroš, Ondřej January 2017 (has links)
This diploma thesis describes the corrugated substrate integrated horn antenna designed to surface wave’s excitation in the UWB band groups 3, 4, 5 and 6 (6 – 10 GHz). The antenna is integrated into 3,4 mm thick textile with relative permittivity r = 1,195. The coaxial cable is connected via the SMA connector that is attached to the aluminum bracket. From the microstrip line transition the corrugated substrate integrated waveguide is excited. Two strip lines are placed in front of the aperture for improvement of the impedance matching. The directivity of the antenna is 12 dBi at 8 GHz. At the same frequency, the antenna efficiency is 70%.

Xie, Zhihua 05 July 2016 (has links)
My thesis is devoted to develop ultra-compact, plug-and-play and low-cost single-mode optical fibersystems for in-fiber luminescence collection. First, a new fiber self-aligned axicon is proposed toprovide the first resolved infrared fluorescence imaging of PbS quantum dots in far field. Then,all-fiber near-field imaging of single PbS quantum dots is achieved by double resonance bowtienano-aperture antenna (BNA) with nanometer resolution. Finally, the concept of fiber nano-opticalhorn antenna is proposed for in-fiber X-ray excited luminescence out-coupling, with the purpose ofgenerating the first generation of fiber X-ray sensors and dosimeters

Trychtýřová anténa s potlačenými bočními laloky / Horn antenna with suppressed side-lobe radiation

Kaděra, Petr January 2018 (has links)
This master´s thesis is focused on the ways of possible realisation of the directive horn antenna with suppressed side lobes in the frequency bands 71-76 GHz and 81-86 GHz. In this thesis a detailed research of the feasible options including parameters comparison and assessment of pros and cons of the particular solutions has been performed. Among the specified technical requirements, the emphasis has been placed on the manufacturing options and low cost availability of the materials applicable for the given antenna. The main part of the thesis deals with the conical horn antenna loaded with a hyperbolic dielectric lens, further the antenna with flat dielectric lens based on a transmitarray and also the integrated elliptical lens antenna. The following part of the thesis deals with the possibilities of characterizing the properties of the dielectric material of the lens.

Antény pro pásmo milimetrových vln / Antennas for milimeter-wave bands

Pítra, Kamil January 2010 (has links)
This thesis describes design and experimental verification of three types of the wideband antenna Bow-tie antenna, Vivaldi antenna and Spiral antenna. The tracked parameters are bandwidth, input impedance, gain and directivity patterns. Next step is design of millimeter-wave horn antennas. Attention is turned to the proper construction of a wideband feeder of the horn. For the final antenna structure, a bow-tie dipole and a Vivaldi antenna were chosen. The antenna construction is aimed to provide a wide bandwidth on one hand and a high gain on the other hand.

Building and Evaluating a 3D Scanning System for Measurementsand Estimation of Antennas and Propagation Channels

Aagaard Fransson, Erik Johannes, Wall-Horgen, Tobias January 2012 (has links)
Wireless communications rely, among other things, on theunderstanding of the properties of the radio propagationchannel, the antennas and their interplay. Adequate measurementsare required to verify theoretical models and togain knowledge of the channel behavior and antenna performance. As a result of this master thesis we built a 3D fieldscanner measurement system to predict multipath propagationand to measure antenna characteristics. The 3Dscanner allows measuring a signal at the point of interestalong a line, on a surface or within a volume in space. In orderto evaluate the system, we have performed narrowbandchannel sounding measurements of the spatial distributionof waves impinging at an imaginary spherical sector. Datawas used to estimate the Angle-of-Arrivals (AoA) and amplitudeof the waves. An estimation method is presented tosolve the resulting inverse problem by means of regularizationwith truncated singular value decomposition. The regularizedsolution was then further improved with the helpof a successive interference cancellation algorithm. Beforeapplying the method to measurement data, it was testedon synthetic data to evaluate its performance as a functionof the noise level and the number of impinging waves. Inorder to minimize estimation errors it was also required tofind the phase center of the horn antenna used in the channelmeasurements. The task was accomplished by directmeasurements and by the regularization method, both resultsbeing in good agreement.

Contribution à l'étude et la conception d'antennes pour la génération d'ondes radiofréquences transportant du moment angulaire orbital / Contribution to the study and design of antennas for the generation of radio waves bearing orbital angular momentum

Wei, Wenlong 21 November 2016 (has links)
It is well known from Maxwell’s theory that electromagnetic (EM) radiation carries both linear momentum (energy) and angular momentum. The latter has two parts: Spin Angular Momentum (SAM) which corresponds to the polarization of an EM wave and Orbital Angular Momentum (OAM) which is associated with the spatial distribution of an EM wave. The SAM has only two states (left and right) and is used to double the channel capacity in telecommunications. On the other hand, the OAM can theoretically have an infinite number of states called the OAM modes. Therefore, the first applications of OAM have been proposed in wireless communications at radio frequencies. However, first of all, it is necessary to develop the antennas for generating such waves. The objective of this thesis is to design the antennas for the generation of radio waves bearing OAM. The manuscript contains three parts. In the first part, an antenna using 4 patches and an original phase shifter is developed and tested to generate an OAM wave. In the second part, a Fabry-Perot (FP) cavity is used to enhance the directivity of this antenna. The third part is to generate guided OAM waves. Some horn antennas are used to radiate these waves with good directivity.
