The practical part focuses on development of counterterrorism policies and its key documents in the aftermath of 11 September, 2001. The end of the practical part brings on interpretation of strategies with using qualitative analysis. For better understanding of differences between two actors and their counterterrorism policies, the comparison method is used.

The work aims to explore the identity of transgender on the basis of gender and trans studies. The problem is formulated here as an identity crisis, which is currently gaining more and more response. The focus of the crisis is the very situation in trans-politics, stimulated by conflicting feelings stemming from the consequences of Judith Butler's performative theory of gender, whose work has become the founding text of queer theory. Opposition is forming in this crisis, with the transgender identity facing one another as one that supports Butler's conclusions, and the transgender (subordinated to the transgender identity) side, whose subjective experience of body forces to criticize performativity and opens up thus the question of the redefinition of essentialism. The aim of this work is to examine the current crisis of identity from the perspective of trans studies with emphasis on the issue of the body, as a determining aspect of the identification of oneself and others as male or female identity. The starting point will be Judith Butler's grasp of the subject of corporeality and analysis of the critique of her approach from from the perspectives of gender and trans studies. The thesis "Regional Identity of the Residents and Holiday-makers in the Borderlands; Case Study: Bor in the Tachov Region" aims on the assessment of the regional identity of the residents and holiday-makers in the border area of the Czech Republic- Bor region, and then finding of the awareness of the solidarity of the users of the area in which they are living and which they are using for the purpose of recreation. Beside the assessment of the regional identity in the Bor region the thesis aims on comparison of the research outcomes of the chosen area with the overall outcomes of the grant project number 43/03/1491 and finding specifics through the questionnaire survey and guided dialogues, including tabular and graphical representation of the outcomes. Another aim is the assessment of the regional identity based on the promotional materials. The model area of Bor in the Tachov region is an example of the border periphery of the Czech Republic where the forming of regional identity was deeply affected by the World War II and successive settlement. This final thesis is looking for ways social networking site users understand their virtual image, online identity and the way online identity is made. It also deals with the way users view the use of social networks and the fact that their virtual profiles reflect their personalities and opinions. It also handles a study on how users perceive the closeness of "Facebook world", whether as a world made up of real people contacts or just a cold virtual space. Social network users leave a digital trace behind. In addition, this thesis follows its impact on online reputation. Also it follows effect it has on user's virtual contacts. It considers attitudes towards social networking sites based on age and gender. It mentions certain effects that accompany user and his presence on internet and social network in general: disinhibition effect, flaming, trolling or spiral of silence theory. It describes evolution of the communication on social networks. In the final stage it focuses on commercial potential: marketing opportunities on Facebook, ways to exploit users' data and what will be the benefit for both parties.

The thesis refers to both Czech and international qualified literature, articles, fundamental documents and some experiments that have been done so far. Over the last ten years Internet become substantial information and communication tool for all age and social groups of Society, but it has a specific status among the younger generations. This thesis understands the Internet as a virtual environment which supports the formation of new Youth subcultures and also the communication of currently existing subcultures. Theoretical part defines the basic terms and concepts (Youth, socialization, identity, culture, subculture, and counterculture) which correspond with the orientation in researched environment. The thesis characterizes also virtual environment, computer games and psychosocial aspects of these worlds. The practical part is based on qualitative research study (depth interviews) of the subculture of the on-line computer games players. The data gathered by depth interviews were processed on the basis of the methods of grounded theory.
