The present paper studies the English imperatives look and listen used as discourse markers. The study focuses on two aspects: firstly, to identify the factors indicating the primary function as opposed to the discourse function of look and listen in English, and secondly, to analyse the Czech counterparts of these verbs used as discourse markers. The paper is comprised of two main parts. The first, theoretical background, describes the grammatical form of the English imperative with focus on look and listen, the concept of discourse markers, the cross-linguistic studies focusing specifically on look and listen, the correspondence between English and Czech imperative, and the potential Czech counterparts. The second, empirical part analyses two hundred and three examples of the imperatives look and listen and their Czech counterparts from the parallel translation corpus InterCorp. This thesis deals with the issue of the imperative and its periphrastic forms. It points out the options of expression of this phenomenon and its usage. The theoretical part of the thesis also deals with imperative sayings; they are then compared to the Czech language. Chapters on methodology follow because they are necessary to process the practical part. The work refers to principles of choosing a good textbook and mentions approaches to grammar instruction. The second part analyses nine textbooks for teaching German as a second foreign language. The analysis is divided into three parts; for each of them the criteria for its evaluation were set. The analysis focuses not only on a teacher´s language but also on how the grammar is presented in the textbooks. Moreover, the differences between the books are mentioned.

Today's professionalisation in sport has given many sports-loving athletes the opportunity to develop a career through sport. However, it is an industry that in most cases is not examined often about how elite athletes experience their lives, especially what happens when their elite career comes to an end. In this study however, the interest lies in exploring male elite athletes' experience in their transition from elite career to their life after the career. The study will be gathered with a framework consisting of the existential sociology perspective to explore how former male elite athletes create meaning in their lives after their elite career. Part of the existential sociology perspective is also to understand how this transition can be understood as an existential imperative. The empirical study has been collated with a qualitative study that involved semi-structured interviews based on a phenomenological approach, with six former elite athletes who were active at the highest level in their respective sports. The results of the study have shown that their transition from an elite career to a post-career life has had a major impact on the elite athletes' experience of meaningfulness. Something that can be interpreted through the concepts of self-control, identity and employability. It is evident that the sport associations play a significant role in how the transition is experienced, whether it’s in a positive or negative sense. But also the importance of their own responsibility for their transition and what aspects the elite athletes themselves may influence play a significant part for a better end to their elite career.

Diploma thesis "Kant's Categorical Imperative and Its Critique by Nineteenth Century Philosophers" deals with a question of Kant's fundamental principle known as the Categorical Imperative or Moral Law. The aim of this work is at first to discuss two other moral principles because of their great impact on Kant seeking the moral principle. These are Hume's moral code called Moral sense and Rousseau' moral views relating to the freedom of individuals. Secondly, to find out how both moral theories did inspire Immanuel Kant. It is necessary to explain strengths of Kant's Formula of the Categorical Imperative especially to emphasise its objectivity and universality. Then the purpose is to show Kant's influence on moral thinking in the nineteenth century. It is necessary to mention philosophers such as Johan Gottlieb Fichte and Bernard Bolzano who focused on critique of the Categorical Imperative.

Digitalization has proven to be a successful way for organizations to develop and improve both infrastructure and effectivity. In 2019 a national IT-policy for the Swedish education system was presented with the goal of leveraging digital technology to improve both the quality of education and organizational effectivity. The Swedish education system has a history of trying and failing to adopt IT-solutions effectively, efforts and results differ between schools and regions. The language used to define this new policy does not show many signs of development in reference to previous attempts. This thesis studies the effects of language and discourse on the ongoing digitalization efforts in Swedish schools. By adapting a framework for critical discourse analysis, the language used both in the national policy documents and by employees within the education system was analyzed. This study makes the following contributions: the way the Swedish education system understands technology complicates any digitalization efforts; secondly, the discourse regarding digitalization directly affects organizational learning and the development of the national policy itself; lastly, a change in discourse is needed for the Swedish education system to be able to learn from the past and work towards the future.

In my diploma thesis entitled Implementing the Gold Rule of Morality in Crisis Planning for Population Protection, I will try to draw on the ideas and conclusions of my bachelor thesis, in which I investigated whether members of the Integrated System Can use the golden rule of morality in an emergency. I have come to the conclusion that the members of the individual components of the integrated rescue system are guided by the valid legislation and orders of the commander of the intervention. Nevertheless, they would welcome in certain situations the possibility of deciding according to the golden rule of morality, which briefly tells us: "I do not want to do the other to you." Translated into situations in the event of an extraordinary event may mean deciding in tedious situations so, as if you were the Rescued and not the savior. The aim of my thesis is to find out whether it is possible to implement this idea in the crisis plans themselves and, above all, whether the intervening members of the integrated rescue system themselves would use this rule in certain situations. The association of two seemingly incompatible worlds seems at first glance absurd, but research and interviews with individual members of the integrated system have convinced me that the philosophical questions and the name of Imanuel Kant can very closely mingle with the world of extraordinary events and the salvation of Human lives, health and property of the population. I would very much like to work with this bachelor thesis together with my previous bachelor thesis, tried to create a unified whole as an idea that can motivate us to think whether it is necessary to change the current state of legislation or whether the legislation itself is set as a form of golden rule of morality .

Die Arbeit macht sich auf die Suche nach den Umrissen eines normativ fundierten Autokratiebegriffs. Begründet ist dieses Unterfangen mit der Beobachtung eines immanenten demokratischen Imperativs in den aktuellen Herrschaftskonzeptionen und Regimetypologien. Als Denkraum dient Niklas Luhmanns Theorie-Architektur der soziologischen Systemtheorie. Die Annahme ist, dass sich mit einer solchen Perspektive der Blick auf die Grundelemente des politischen Systems öffnen, die dann zu einer funktionalen Vernunft-Quelle führen um Autokratie neu zu definieren. / Based on the observation of an immanent democratic imperative in contemporary regime typologies and concepts, this work is in search for contours of a normative definition of autocracy. Niklas Luhmann's theoretical foundations serves as epistemological means to explore functional sources of Vernunft and to overcome metaphysical or natural justifications of order. The assumption is that such a perspective exposes fundamental elements of political systems and their systemic functions for a reformulation of autocracy.

Advanced automatic testing is very important in development and research within the vehicle industry. Hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) systems give the ability to validate Electronic Control Units (ECUs) based on software simulation without gathering all of the physical hardware. This enables testing by providing inputs and examining the corresponding outputs of the ECUs in a simpler and safer way than in traditional physical testing. HIL offers the advantage that we can verify and validate the functions of ECUs prior to full-scale hardware production. On the contrary, because HIL systems are normally released as general-purpose test beds, it takes time to embed them into the current system. Additionally, the question of how to fill the gap between the HIL and the test environment is even more critical when the test bed is expected to be used for a long period of time without modifications. Furthermore, HIL systems are precious. It is not practical and will be considered as a waste of resource if it is used exclusively by testers. Scania’s RESI group uses Client-Server architecture to make it more flexible. The HIL system is hosted at server side while the testers operate it at client side. This architecture enables different implementations of client and server as long as a same protocol is applied, but this still does not solve the problem that the HIL is not always accessible when the testers want to debug their scripts. The testers want to find a solution to achieve this goal offline (without servers). To solve the problem, we first investigated which programming languages are used in the industry. Without doubt, there is no dominant language that ideally suits all situations, so secondly, we developed a new test environment. The new environment including “Dummy Mode” and “Mat Mode” is able to provide script validation service on basic and logic levels without servers. The result shows the Dummy mode is able to reach a higher detection rate (99.3%) on simple errors comparing to the current environment (81.3%). By reproducing and reusing the result of HIL system, Mat mode is able to identify logic errors and provide better assistance when the logic errors are found. In general, the proposed environment is able to show a better way of using HIL which makes the whole system more efficient and productive. / I fordonsindustrin ställs stora krav på avancerad automatiserad testning. För att utvärdera Electronic Control Units (ECUs) används så kallade Hardware-In-the-Loop-system (HIL) för att simulera den omkringliggande hårdvaran. Detta möjliggör enklare samt säkrare testning av ECU-komponenterna än vid traditionell fysisk testning. Med hjälp av HIL kan ECUs testas innan en fullskalig produktion sätts igång. Då HIL-system vanligtvis utvecklas för ett brett användningsområde kan det ta tid att skräddarsy dem för ett specifikt system. Ett annat viktigt problem vi ställs inför är skillnaderna mellan HIL-systemet och testmiljön, då testfallen förväntas att användas en längre tid utan förändringar. Vidare är HIL-system kostsamma. Det anses vara varken praktiskt eller ekonomiskt att låta HIL-system enbart användas av testare. Scanias RESI-grupp använder en klient-server-arkitektur för att åstadkomma flexibilitet HIL-systemet körs på serversidan medan testarna arbetar på klientsidan. Den här typen av arkitektur öppnar upp för olika implementationer på klient- samt serversida, förutsatt att samma kommunikationsprotokoll används. En nackdel med den nuvarande lösningen är att HIL-systemet inte alltid finns tillgängligt när testarna vill felsöka deras programskript. Testarna vill hitta en lösning där det går att utföra felsökningen lokalt, utan tillgång till servrar. För att kunna lösa problemet undersöktes först vilka programmeringsspråk som används inom industrin. Undersökningen visar på att det finns inget programmeringsspråk som är idealt för alla ändamål. Vidare utvecklades en ny testmiljö som tillhandahåller testlägena "Dummy Mode" samt "Mat Mode". Testmiljön kan användas för att validera programskript på grund- och logiknivå utan att kommunicera mot servrar. Resultatet visar att "Dummy Mode" detekterar upp till 99.3% av enklare typ av fel än motsvarande 81.3% i nuvarande testmiljön. Genom att reproducera och återanvända resultat av HIL-systemet kan “Mat Mode” identifiera logikfel samt ge en bättre indikation om vad felen innebär. Generellt sätt kan den föreslagna testmiljön visa på ett bättre användande av HIL, som gör hela systemet mer effektivt och produktivt.

The thesis analyzes the theory of Steady-State Economy based on a research of literature as well as principles and starting points for its application in practice. The central question revolves around the viability of the theory. First, however, the thesis focuses on the context, i.e. the background and needs for the emergence of this theory. Thus, the research begins at a time of industrial revolution and the rise of modern economies. In the course of the research, the analysis also points out the phenomenon of cooperatives, which arise in the early days of industrialization, as examined at the start of the work. Later, after a comprehensive introduction of the steady-state economy theory, the thesis returns to cooperatives, as during the research certain parallels in both of the phenomena emerge. Consequently, the conclusion recapitulates and examines whether steady state economy has been proven to be viable, what could support its functioning and whether one of the answers might be cooperatives - considered they have been shown to realize certain assumptions of this economic theory in practice. After a review of criticism of both of the phenomena, a final evaluation and decision may be reached, i.e. the research questions may be answered.
