Energieffektivisering i köpcentret Sisjö Entré i Göteborg / Improving the Energy Efficiency at Sisjö Entré Shopping Center in Gothenburg

Med energieffektivisering menas att man använder energi på ett effektivt sätt som ska leda till en positiv inverkan på miljö och samhälle. Sisjö Entré är ett köpcentrum som har en årlig energiförbrukning på 1 865 270 kWh och bör enligt Energimyndighetens riktvärde ha en årlig förbrukning på 1 530 000 kWh, alltså en minskning med 18 %. Köpcentret består av 17 butiker och i examensarbetet undersöks fem butiker vilka är Toys Я Us, Rusta, Burger King, Babyproffsen och Webhallen. I dessa utförs mätningar på ventilation och belysning med syftet att studera vilka laster i butikerna som orsakar mest förbrukning. Målet är att komma fram till förslag på åtgärder för att minska energiförbrukning samt kostnader. Vi kom fram till att belysning är den största lasten i handelslokaler vilka är Toys Я Us, Rusta, Babyproffsen och Webhallen medan den största lasten i restauranger (Burger King) är utrustningen i köket som står för 75 % av restaurangens totala förbrukning. I Rusta upptäckte vi att elmätarna visade lägre värden än den verkliga förbrukningen. Efter undersökningen kom vi fram till att felet antingen ligger i elmätarna eller i dess strömtransformator och måste åtgärdas. Vi har gett förslag på att byta ut en del av den befintliga belysningen samt gett förslag på att sektionera vissa delar i några av butikerna. Dessutom har vi gett förslag på att reducera drifttiderna på ventilationsaggregaten. Utifrån dessa förslag och energiberäkningar kom vi fram till att man i de fem butikerna kan minska den årliga energiförbrukningen från 1 865 270 kWh till 1 576 670 kWh, alltså en minskning på 15,5 %. Därmed minskar kostnaderna med ca 228 000 sek/år / Energy efficiency means that energy is used in an efficient way that impacts positively on the environment and society. Sisjö Entré is a shopping center which has an annual energy consumption of 1 865 270 kWh, and according to Energy Authority, the recommended value is 1 530 000 kWh per year. That means that energy consumption at the center should reduce by approximately 18 % to comply with the recommended value. The mall consists of 17 stores and the thesis examines five stores which are Toys Я Us, Rusta, Burger King, Babyproffsen and Webhallen. Measurements are taken on ventilation and lighting installations with the aim of studying the loads in the stores that consume the most energy. The goal is to come up with suggestions of actions to reduce energy consumption and costs. We concluded that lighting consumes the most energy in the warehouses; Toys Я Us, Rusta, Babyproffsen and Webhallen, while the largest load in the restaurants (Burger King) is the kitchen, which accounts for 75 % of the restaurants total consumption. In Rusta, we discovered that the electricity meter showed a lower value than the true consumption. After investigation, we concluded that the fault could be either in the electricity meter or in its current transformer and must be addressed. We have given a proposal to replace parts of the existing lighting installations, and given suggestion for sectioning certain parts in some stores. Further, we have given suggestions for reducing operating times on the ventilation units. Based on the above proposals and energy calculations, we concluded that these five stores has the potential to reduce the annual energy consumption from 1 865 270 kWh to 1 576 670 kWh, leading to a reduction by 15.5 %. This reduces costs by about 228 000 SEK per year

Modeling the Proterozoic basement’s effective stress field, assessing fault reactivation potential related to increased fluid pressures in south central Kansas and north central Oklahoma, and improving seismic imaging of basement faulting within Wellington and Anson-Bates Fields, Sumner County, Kansas

Master of Science / Department of Geology / Brice LaCroix / Abdelmoneam Raef / South-central Kansas has experienced an increase in seismic activity within the Proterozoic basement over the past 10 years. In 2009, Oklahoma seismic stations recorded 50 earthquakes statewide, a 200% increase from 2008. Oklahoma Geological Survey (OGS) seismograph stations recorded 1,028 in 2010, an increase of over 2000% from 2009. Between 2000-2012, Kansas experienced only 12 earthquakes statewide. Beginning in September 2013, clusters of seismic events in south-central Kansas began to increase. In 2015 alone, Kansas seismograph stations recorded 448 earthquakes, of which 166 resulted in a magnitude 2.0 or greater. Since 2013, United States Geological Survey (USGS) seismograph stations have recorded over 12,000 earthquakes within Kansas and Oklahoma. Pore fluid pressure increases associated with recent high-rate wastewater injection into the dolomitic Arbuckle disposal zone are hypothesized as cause of reactivation of the faulted study region’s Proterozoic basement. Although the magnitude of fluid-pressure change required for reactivation of these faults is likely low given failure equilibrium conditions in the midcontinent, heterogeneities (i.e. permeability, porosity, fluid pressure) in the basement could allow for a range of fluid pressure changes associated with injection. This research aims to quantify the fluid pressure changes responsible for fault reactivation of the Proterozoic basement. To address this issue, we use 97 earthquake focal mechanisms and over 12,000 seismic events, from the USGS catalog, within an area encompassing ~ 4,000 km². Focal mechanism data was utilized to determine the regional stress field present within the study region. Nodal plane data extracted from the focal mechanisms was crucial to identifying lineaments within the underlying basement complex. A 3D seismic dataset covering the Wellington and Anson Bates Fields in north central Sumner County, Kansas was utilized for enhanced structural delineation of an interpreted faultnetwork affecting the Mississippian and Arbuckle Groups, to investigate whether it impacts the underlying granitic basement and its complex network of potentially interconnected fault planes. Smoothed similarity and spectral whitening analyses were applied to the dataset to improve depth of investigation and uncover fault lineaments masked by seismic attenuation due to increasing depth. An interpreted network of fault planes at depths of 3.5 km was uncovered beneath Wellington Field. The lineaments are well aligned with known structural features present within the Proterozoic basement, the Central Kansas Uplift and the Nemaha Ridge-Humboldt fault zone.

The thesis whose title is "Quality management in chosen company" focused on selected company processes in terms of management and quality assurance. The aim of this thesis was the analysis of the process of quality management in the engineering company TIRAD, s. r. o. located in the Vysočina region. According to the findings of deficiencies in this company were provided suggestions and recommendations to improve these processes. The quality management system and all terms connected with this field were thoroughly described in the theoretical part of this thesis. All information about the quality management was taken from the Czech and English literature. In this part were also used reliable internet sources. The content of the practical part was the analysis of the current quality management system in a chosen company. In the thesis was at first characterized the company and then were also analyzed processes of the quality management system. For the analysis of these processes were used the qualitative methods. Based on the analysis of the quality management system in TIRAD´s company were discovered several flaws.

In the submitted diploma thesis the theoretical part is just an overview of basic information concerning anaerobic digestion, and thus about biogas production, principles of its origin, chemical composition, properties and requirements regarding the soil out of which the biogas comes into existence in fermenter biogas stations. The other part of the theoretical section deals with digestate and types of soil since the aim of my thesis is the monitoring of possibilities how to utilize the waste from BGS fermenters, digestate for composting and how to improve physical-chemical properties of heavy soils. It was proved in the experimental thesis itself that the digestate is not organic fertiliser, on the contrary it is weak mineral fertiliser, highly diluted, and it does not fulfil the role of organic fertiliser because its organic substance is too stable. However, it can be successfully used during the digestate application into the compost ? it is earth-friendly and airy substance, it prevents heat leakage and the compost has higher T-value. It is suitable for the application into soil ? not as an organic fertiliser but for the improvement of water-air mode of soils, especially those heavy ones.

Being a Translator : - With a Licence to Improve

This paper sets out to investigate and discuss what a translator may do when the source text for some reasons needs to be improved. The analysis is based on examples from a source text in need of quite extensive editing. This editing is called for to be able to present a translation that is satisfactory as well for the target reader as for the translator. To achieve this, the translator has to deal with a series of crucial decisions. One important determinant of any decision on part of the translator is, of course, the quality of the source text, which may vary a great deal. Originals sometimes exhibit flaws of various kinds. In such cases, what is the translator supposed to do? Is (s)he supposed to deliver a translation that contains the same mistakes as the ST, or is (s)he supposed to rewrite a poor text? The main focus of the present study is to discuss possible strategies for changes and to find support for the translator to work with improving editing in a text that needs to be improved. More specifically, focus is on looking at the strategies that are available when it comes to three specific problem areas, viz person perspective, author visibility and repetition. The study initiates a further discussion of the translator's mission – should it include making a brilliant version of a poor source text? It was found that the translator should not transfer language flaws that might appear in a source text with no stylistic pretentions, but instead produce an improved target text, even if that entails rather extensive editing.

Intresset för den här studien ligger i att undersöka om och hur olika feedbacksituationer framkommer i matematikundervisningen. Studien har genom observationer, ljudinspelningar och en intervju besvarat studiens syfte att bidra med kunskap om hur matematiklärare ger feedback i olika undervisningssituationer. I studien definieras feedback som ett pedagogiskt kommunikationsverktyg som kan hjälpa eleverna mot de avsatta målen. I studien avgränsas begreppet till att enbart beröra muntlig feedback. Studien har sin teoretiska utgångspunkt i det sociokulturella perspektivet samt Hattie och Timperleys (2007) ”model of feedback”. I resultatet från klassrumsstudien framkommer att feedback kan te sig olika i olika undervisningssituationer. Den feedback som gavs syftade i huvudsak till att beskriva den uppgift eleverna arbetade med. De uppdagade formerna av feedback påvisades även skilja sig innehållsmässigt, delvis beträffande frågeord, vilka i olika mån bidrar till elevernas delaktighet i matematikklassrummet. / The objective for this study is to exam how different situations regarding feedback actually take place in mathematical education. Observations, audio recordings and an interview has been used in an attempt to see how the mathematical teachers’ knowledge in the educational practice with focus on feedback can be both developed and better. Throughout the study, feedback is defined as a pedagogic communication tool that is supposed to help the students reach their final academic goals. The study is delimited to only touch the subjects of the oral feedback. This study is based on a sociocultural perspective and Hattie and Timperleys (2007) “Model of feedback”. As a result from the in class study, it appeared that feedback may appear different in different teaching situations. The feedback was referring mainly to describe the task that the students were working on. The discovered forms of feedback was also shown to have different query word, which in different extent contribute to students’ participation in the mathematical classroom.

I dealt with assessment and finacial valuation of the given proposals. Finally, I propose documents for keepimg standards and increasing efficiency of the 5S method in a certain workplace.
