No. of bitstreams: 1 arquivototal.pdf: 1916861 bytes, checksum: fb131011e6ee3ab0625e9a4116b37a29 (MD5) Previous issue date: 2010-11-05 / Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior - CAPES / This Thesis of Doctorate is the result of the semiotic analysis of some speeches of experienced and inexperienced pupils of technical courses integrated of the secondary education of the Federal Institutes (FIs) situated in the following cities, in the Northeast region of the Brazil: Aracaju, Fortaleza, João Pessoa, Maceió, Natal, Recife, Salvador, São Luís and Teresina. In these speeches, we identified and analyzed the marks of the enunciation and, by means of them, the values or the hypotheses raised for the related pupils about the Federal Institutes where they were studying. Questionnaires had been applied to harvest information about the quality of the education given in each FI, in the spring semester of 2008. Of the questionnaires voluntarily returned, we select fifteen to represent the answers of each group of pupils, being totalized thirty in each Institute, which constituted in the corpus of this work. To base our work of research, we invoke the French semiotics of Greimas‟ inspiration (1966, 1970, 1976, 1979) whose objective is to explain the generation and the signification of the speeches , complemented by the ideas of the semio-linguistics of Charaudeau (2007 and 2008) and of the tensive semiotics of Zilberberg (1992 and 1997) and of Fontanille (2007). The result of this analysis permitted us to check that speeches both show similar values, beliefs and hypotheses about the Institutes where the pupils were studying, with differences only of the assessment percentages. In general, the inexperienced pupils are more generous than the experienced pupils in the all Institutes, with high percentages of the positive assessment; but the experienced pupils are stricter than inexperienced pupils and assessed negatively three Institutes where they were studying. / Esta Tese é o resultado da análise semiótica de alguns discursos de alunos novatos e não novatos de cursos técnicos integrados ao Ensino Médio dos Campi Centrais dos Institutos Federais situados nas capitais do Nordeste do Brasil. Nesses discursos, procuramos reconhecer e analisar as marcas da enunciação e, por meio delas, os valores ou as hipóteses levantadas pelos referidos alunos em relação às condições do ensino ministrado nos institutos onde estudavam. Foram aplicados questionários para colhermos informações sobre tais condições de ensino, no primeiro semestre de 2008, nas seguintes cidades: Aracaju, Fortaleza, João Pessoa, Maceió, Natal, Recife, Salvador, São Luís e Teresina. Dos questionários voluntariamente devolvidos, selecionamos quinze para representar as respostas de cada grupo de alunos, totalizando trinta em cada IF, os quais constituíram o corpus deste trabalho. Para fundamentar nosso trabalho de pesquisa, invocamos a semiótica francesa de inspiração greimasiana cujo objetivo é explicar a geração e a significação dos discursos (GREIMAS, 1966, 1970, 1976, 1979) complementada pelas ideias da semiolinguística de Charaudeau (2007 e 2008) e da semiótica tensiva de Zilberberg (1983 e 1997) e de Fontanille (2007). O resultado dessa análise permitiu-nos constatar que tanto os discursos dos novatos quanto os dos não novatos apresentaram-se semelhantes relativamente aos valores, às crenças e às hipóteses em relação aos Institutos onde estudavam, variando apenas os percentuais de avaliação. No geral, os novatos apresentaram-se mais generosos do que os não novatos em todos os IFs, com altos percentuais de avaliação positiva; os não novatos, mais rigorosos, avaliaram negativamente três Institutos onde estudavam.
