<p>Upper secondary school contains of several different programs, for some of them workplace training, APU, is a part. The Industry programme is one of those. The education within a programme where workplace training is a part works out differently. The workplace training part of the education is a collaboration between school and different working sites. The aim of this study is to illuminate one kind of education model from different perspectives.</p><p>The workplace training part of this model starts from term four and takes place two days every week, the other three days of the week used for education in school. The questions at issue for this study are in what meaning can workplace training affect the results of the programme goals? And how is the education interpreted, valued and described by different participants? The study contains of sex interviewees. In the study are six persons from three different categories; cooperative companies, teachers teaching core subjects and pupils. The results from the study show how important the cooperative companies think that communication and the possibility to be able to have influence in the education model are. They look at themselves not only as a company that provides trainee possibilities. They also consider the lifeexperience that the pupils get through the combination of education in school combined with workplaced training affect their efforts of reaching the programme goal positively. The education model is seen with positive eyes both from the cooperative companies and the pupils, while the results from the coresubject teachers interviews not are quit as distinct.</p>

The Effects of a Visual Disability on Marital Relationships

abstract: This qualitative study examines the major changes in relationship closeness of married couples when one spouse acquires a vision disability. Turning Points analysis and Retrospective Interview Technique (RIT) were utilized which required participants to plot their relational journey on a graph after the onset of the disability. A sample of 32 participants generating 100 unique turning points and 32 RIT graphs lent in-depth insight into the less explored area of the impact of a visual disability on marital relationships. A constant comparison method employed for the analysis of these turning points revealed six major categories, which include Change in Relational Dynamics, Realization of the Disability, Regaining Normality in Life, Resilience, Reactions to Assistance, and Dealing with the Disability. These turning points differ in terms of their positive or negative impact on the relational closeness between partners. In addition, the 32 individual RIT graphs were also analyzed and were grouped into four categories based on visual similarity, which include Erratic Relational Restoration, Erratic Relational Increase, Consistent Closeness and Gradual Relational Increase. Results provide theoretical contributions to disability and marriage literature. Implications for the application of turning points to the study of post-disability marital relationships are also discussed, and research directions identified. / Dissertation/Thesis / M.A. Communication Studies 2014

Förskollärarens högläsning utgör en stor del av förskolans vardag. De flesta barn älskar att sitta med en bok och höra när förskolläraren läser och vill helst läsa samma bok om och om igen. Högläsning är något positivt där barnen kan utveckla sitt språk och lärande. Syftet med den här undersökningen är att få mer kunskap om förskollärarens perspektiv på högläsning i förskolan samt ta reda på deras erfarenheter kring högläsning. Därför har följande frågeställningar tagits med: I vilket syfte har man med högläsning i verksamheten och hur tillämpas högläsning i vardagligt förekommande pedagogiska situationer i förskolan? Vilken syn har förskollärare på högläsningens innebörd för barns språkutveckling? Vilka andra tankar eller idéer har förskollärarna kring högläsning? Utifrån för- och nackdelar med att använda online och ansikte mot ansikte intervjuer som metod valdes online intervjuer för två förskollärare på grund av covid-19 pandemin och två förskollärare intervjuades på plats på respektive förskola. Datainsamlingsstrategin utgår ifrån djupintervjuer med respondenterna.   Resultatet och analysen bygger på intervjuerna där jag har sammanfattat lärarnas synpunkter och erfarenheter av högläsning. Samtliga förskollärare berättade att högläsning var ett positivt pedagogiskt redskap. Respondenterna beskriver djupgående hur högläsning är ett viktigt hjälpmedel för alla barn som har svårt med det verbala språket. De anser att förskolan ska präglas av högläsning där åhörande barn ska kunna fantisera och stimuleras i sin språkutveckling, samtidigt som högläsning ska utgöra en rolig upplevelse för barnen.

Validation of the Forensic Assessment Interview Technique

This research paper has examined the validity of the Forensic Assessment Interview Technique (FAINT). FAINT is a specific interview process - accepted and in current use - integrating the works of this researcher with the works of John Reid, Richard Arther, and Avinoam Sapir. The FAINT technique involves the evaluation of nonverbal behavior, projective analysis of unwitting verbal cues, and statement analysis. The fundamental hypothesis of FAINT is that truthful and deceptive criminal suspects differ demonstrably in their nonverbal, verbal and written communication, when asked to respond to a structured format of interview questions. FAINT maintains that these differences are observable and can be quantified to allow forensic interviewers to make accurate determinations of a suspect's involvement in a crime. This research has examined the validity of the technique as measured by a traditional, unweighted 3 point scale and a weighted scoring system (an issue being researched in this paper) comparatively used for determining truth or deception. This dissertation reports the results of both scoring systems, as well as a comparison between them and the historically used Behavioral Analysis Interview (BAI) that was developed by John E.
