Sociální práce jako práce řízená profesními hodnotami / Social work as a work managed by professional values

The identity of social work profession seems to be inconsistent. This is caused by different concept perception within the profession. One way of building greater stability of social work identity can be put the emphasis on the importance of values in the profession and their uniform definition. These two aspects are the main fulfillment of this Diploma thesis, in which the main aim is to reflect the concept of values in social work in relation to the perception and access to the professional identity of social work. The theme of this paper is built by defining the concept of value, which prevents mismatched importance in defining specific values in social work. The theme of following chapters is the role of values and definitions of individual values of social work based on career goals, code of ethics, foreign and Czech authors who write about the ethics of social work. The work is complemented by opinions of social workers who were involved in the research part of the project of Grant Agency of South Bohemian University No. 117/2013/H investigating the concept of quality of social work in relation to social worker´s selfdefining and his helpful professions.

Etické kodexy v soudobém českém mediálním systému / Ethical Codes in the present Czech media system

Master's Thesis focuses on current position of ethics in the Czech media. The main subject is the code of ethics (or code of conduct). The first part of the thesis offers a theoretical background of the topic. I am pursuing the terminology referred to the media ethics topic. Together with scholarly resources I provide definitions of terms such as ethics, morality and code of ethics in media. Summary of relevant Czech codes of conduct is essential for this thesis. First, I present the codes in a brief list and table, more detailed analysis follows. The focus is on differences and specification of each of them. After that I present an analysis of ethical rules valid in foreign countries - European states and the United States in particular. Theoretical part is followed by practical part of the thesis. It is based on interviews with experts which are semi- anonymous and semi-structured. I interview eight employees of Czech media after formulating several hypotheses. I chose experts who have been working in media for many years - mainly chief editors or top managers in press, TV, radio or online media. One of the most important chapters is the confirmation or refutation of the stated hypotheses. In my master{\crq}s thesis I focused on problems of protection of consumer in travel agencies related sale tours, offering information, guaranties and at last but not least on situations in the case of bankruptcy. The main regulation in this thesis is the article 159/1999 Coll. and follow norms. One of the main goals of this paper work is the evaluation whether a travel agency as the servant is also servant of consumer defense. The basic element of consumer defense in a traveling agency is an insurance of the traveling agency for the case of bankruptcy according to the article 455/1991 Coll. The next very important step is also providing truthful and completed information towards their clients from the travel agency and their partners. Guarantee of consumer defense in tourism is irreplaceable and it is connected with consumers´ knowledge of rights and obligations.

The work deals with a mental illness called schizophrenia. The thesis consists of two parts, the theoretical part and the practical part. The theoretical part has five chapters, it has focused mainly on the interconnectedness of social work, psychiatry, psychology and ethics. First, it describes schizophrenia in general - how begins the illness, it signs and symptoms, diagnosis, course and prognosis and treatment options. I am focusing on the psychiatric aspects of schizophrenia, the social aspect of the disease and the ethics codes of various disciplines. The practical part is research, which is based on the interpretation of the results of a quantitative research. I opted a questionnaire as a research technice. The aim of this questionnaire is to find out which general knowledges has the adult population about schizophrenia and which views of schizophrenia are prevailing.

The code of ethics is beyond legislation an important company self-regulation act which determines above all ethical values and principles and anchors ethical standards of the corporate culture. Ethical regulation of advertising Abstract This thesis deals with the regulation of ethical elements in advertising. Advertising is regulated by law, which protects the most important ethical interests of society that may be violated in advertising. In addition to this an important role is played by regulation standing outside the law, provided by the advertising industry itself. The aim of this paper is to analyze the current position of self-regulation of advertising in the Czech Republic and to assess whether the existing mechanisms are sufficient. This will be accomplished by illustrating the application of self-regulatory rules on specific adverts. The thesis is composed of four chapters. Chapter One defines the term advertising as a social phenomenon from a marketing practice perspective. The chapter focuses on definitions of this term provided by both national and European legislation. Chapter Two gives the definition of ethics as a theory of morality and the term good manners, which is mostly used in legal literature.
