Komparace kompetencí trenéra basketbalu s jinými sporty / The comparision of the basketball coaches'competencies to the other sports

Title: Comparison of basketball coaches competencies with other sports. Objectives: The main objective of this diploma thesis was to compile a basketball coach's competence list and compare these competencies with demands on selected coaches of other sports. Semi- structured interviews with active basketball coaches as well as the literature were used to obtain desired competencies. Methods: This marketing research included both quantitative and qualitative methods. The collected data from questioning players and coaches was obtained via an electronic questionnaire. The 4 level-point Likert scale without central tendency was chosen for evaluating the importance of the collected data and a semi-structured interview with active basketball coaches had been used to obtain desired competencies. These competencies were categorized into clusters which, subsequently, made the interpretation of the results more transparent. Results: The results of the research identified the most important competencies for the profession of an "ideal" basketball coach. These competencies (20 of them in total) were chosen to take part in competency profile. 1 ABSTRACT: This thesis deals with Dutch primary school headmaster profession standard analysis. Its goal is to break down facts, how this standard is framed, how does it relate to theory, what are the headmaster's job criteria, how is his/her post determined, and lastly, how is this standard used. One of the parts is the analysis of headmaster's position and personal plan as a tool for further education. Considering the size of text and language differences, content text analysis is used. The standard itself, based on competencies, their models, and effective leadership characteristics as tools for headmaster's as well as children education, is going through a lot of change. These changes are widely described in this work, which also mentions what parts of this standard are possible to take into consideration in the Czech republic. My thesis explores the pedagogical issue of key competencies, it especially focuses on learning competency, its development, teacher's concept of the competency and its application into learning at a secondary school. The theoretical part introduces main terms and concepts and the characteristics of educational process, which influence development of competencies. The research part is a qualitative research. The data have been collected through observations in class and semi-structured interviews. The interviews were held with teachers of the secondary schools, which were observed afterwards. Within these lessons was filled in a special observation form which evaluates through specific categories how effectively is learning competency being developed.

The theoretical part of the thesis deals with tuition of communication and composition education of pupils with special learning disorders in specialized classes at senior basic schools. I work with terms: key competencies, communication competencies, specific learning disorders. The main part of the thesis consists of research focused on survey of the conception of Czech language tuition and teachers´approach to key competencies, next creation of and testing of worksheets supporting communication and composition education in specialized classes based on critical thinking methods.

The diploma thesis is focused on the topic of managerial competencies and competency models, as a particular combination of competencies that are necessary for the effective performance of the work. Managerial competencies are in this thesis specifically focused on the competencies of the project manager. The aim of the diploma thesis is based on an analysis to identify the competencies of the project manager and on this basis to develop generic competency model of project manager. The theoretical basis of the work is focused mainly on the issues of the concept of competence, the development, use and types of competencies. Further are processed concepts of the area of managerial competencies and project management on the basis of literature and Internet resources on this topic. Own part is based on analysis of documents, which is the basis for compiling the survey, whose result is a list of selected competencies important for work as a project manager. Based on the list of important competencies is compiled generic competency model project manager. In conclusion summarizes the results from own part.

This diploma thesis deals with managerial competencies, which knowledge and control are signs of the superior performance manager. The theoretical part of the work is supported by the literature study. In several chapters there are summarized and characterized basic topics related to competences in general, competencies in the manager's job, competency models and integration of competency models to companies. In the practical part there is collected a list of general competencies from various sources that are typical for store manager position. Subsequently the synthesis of these competencies is performed to the several thematic blocks. Using questionnaires are detected relevant competencies for store managers who contribute to the achievement of excellent business results. On the basis of these informations is created preliminary competency model for the position of store manager Mr. Baker units which is including a description of the level of all individual competencies. The final stage is a validation of the resulting preliminary competency model using expert judgment. The result is a competency model for store manager Mr. Baker Bakery unit which is ready for implementation and use in practice.
