The diploma thesis deals with one of the most important parts of the concept of the Czech educational system - with so-called key competencies. It is focused on two key competencies - the personal and social competencies. In the theoretical part, it deals with notions of the personal and social competence in general - it is focused on the meaning of these two competencies and on the individual areas which they contain. In case of the social competence, the thesis focuses mainly on areas of social communication, social skills, social intelligence and so-called pro-social behaviour. In connection with the personal competence, it deals mainly with areas of self-knowledge, self-conception, self-evaluation, self- organization or self-regulation, as well as with the area of psychohygiene. Theoretical information about personal and social competencies is explicitly linked with language teaching. The practical part analyses four chosen French textbooks and evaluates them in terms of their potentiality to develop both competencies. It evaluates whether the chosen textbooks develop personal and social competencies and if so - to which extent.

This thesis deals with managerial competencies in one particular company. The thesis is divided into two parts, the practical and the theoretical one. The theoretical part explains basic notions concerning especially competencies in connection with management. In the practical part, analysis of key managerial competencies of the company is carried out. The terrain data collection is drafted on the basis of quantitative research strategy. The aim of the thesis is to characterize key managerial competencies in the particular company and following carrying out of a detail analysis of these key competences at individual managers. In my work, I recommend a proposal of possible competency development, the state emerged as undesirable; in the form of formal education, informal education or in the form of working experience.

This thesis deals with the managerial competencies of school teachers and headmasters. It also focuses on finding the common features of such competencies as are shared by the two aforementioned professions and company managers. Its main aim is to find out whether a successful teacher would be equally successful in the position of a headmaster, or whether a company manager can be a successful headmaster without having worked as a teacher. The theoretical part deals with the definition of "management" and managerial functions, the definition of school management, and "classroom management". The personalities of a manager, their qualities, knowledge, skills, the term "leadership" as well as "competencies" are also clarified here. At the end of this part there is an analysis of managerial competencies in the position of a company manager, headmaster, and teacher as well. The practical part analyses the subjective perception of the job duties, required qualities, skills and competencies in teachers, headmasters and managers. The thesis contains a comparative research. Dialogue was used to map such activities as form the daily job duties of the two professions and such competencies as help the respondents to be successful at work. The aim is to compare the preparation for the profession Principal before taking office in each country, focusing on practice, education, legal grounding.. The theoretical part deals with the historical perspective of the OECD in terms of education, access to education in different historical periods since the inception of the organization. It also deals with the initial preparation of Principals prior to becoming director in terms of personality and school manager. The practical part describes the situation of education with a focus on Principal in selected countries. the conclusion are set out common elements of education directors.

Title: Competency profile of a Street Dance coach Objectives: The aim of this work is to find the key competencies and needs for the profile of a Street dance coach. The competencies are discovered through questions given to dance students and trainers.The benefit of this work should be seen during the selection of the dance trainers. Methods: The research is made from quantitative methods and interviews. The interviews of the dance students and trainers were made through an electronic questionnaire. The respondents were addressed on the social media. The theoretical part of the thesis comes from the studied professional literature, internet sites and personal experience. Results: We found out which are the key competencies that a trainer should have. Based on the results of the research we choose the 12 most important competencies of a street dance trainer, which were valorised thanks to the weighted average and split by importance. The practical part is focused on gathering profession-related data from two groups of students (two secondary school graduates, three university graduates) to compare the level of their preparatory education. Implementace podnikového modelu kompetencí / Implementation of the business competency model

The thesis focuses on the implementation of the Business Competency Model in the retail chain, whose sole owner is the German parent company. In the theoretical part are - based on literature research - defined the basic concepts needed for further understanding of the thesis. The practical part first explains the cultural differences between Czechs and Germans, later the findings are used to design a competency model for the Czech Republic. The methods of semi structured interviews and pilot certification are used. In the chapters 5 and 6 are described the steps of the original German model, which is later adapted to conditions in the Czech Republic. Definitions of risk that may arise during the phases of the project and possible ways for their elimination are also considered. The thesis concludes with recommendations for the use of models in the future.
