Vliv zvýšené koncentrace CO2 a sucha na rychle rostoucí dřeviny

Vágner, Lukáš January 2014 (has links)
The main objective of this study was to determine the effect of elevated CO2 and drought on growth of fast-growing trees, hence hybrids of poplar Populus nigra and Populus maximowiczii on experimental station Domanínek. These parameters were measured: photosynthesis, reflectance, fluorescence of chlorophyll and content of chlorophylls and flavonols. The results show a demonstrable effect of greater regulatory abilities stomatas at elevated CO2 concentration, which leads to greater efficiency of water use. Decisive influence on leaf area, specific leaf area and the dry weight has the effect of drought. However, for specific leaf area, contrary to expectations, there was an noticeable increase during drought period. In the case of other characteristics come to reduce them. By contrast specific leaf area slightly decreases at elevated CO2 concentration. Rate of photosynthesis increases with increasing concentrations of CO2, while the effect of drought dampens these characteristics and also reduces the chlorophyll content. Increasing concentration of CO2 during the experiment also leds to an increase in NDVI index, which shows increased chlorophyll content. The values of fluorescence at two concentrations of CO2 when exposed to drought stress differed minimally. The maximum quantum yield of photosystem II is slightly higher at elevated CO2 concentration. Overall, it can be summarized that in the short-term effect of drought stress in hybrid poplar, increased concentration of CO2 increases water use efficiency and thus to mitigate the impact of drought on photosynthetic parameters.

Vliv stájového mikroklimatu na vybrané kvalitativní a kvantitativní parametry ejakulátů plemenných býků

Škarecká, Radka January 2015 (has links)
The aim of this diploma thesis The effect of stable microclimate on qualitative and quantitative parameters of ejaculates of breeding bulls, where the effect of stable envi-ronment and age on the volume, concentration, activity and changes in morphology of sperm in ejaculates of bulls was evaluated. In the period from 1st March to 31st August 2014, there were done 154 collections of semen from nine bulls of Czech Pied cattle lairaged at the insemination center of bulls operated by a breeder's cooperative Impuls in Bohdalec. Immediately after the collections macroscopic and microscopic examinations have been performed for all samples, which included determining the volume, con-centration and activity of sperm. After evaluation of morphological parameters of bovi-ne sperm the percentage of morphologically normal sperm and pathomorphological da-maged sperm were evaluated. There were observed changes on the head, acrosome, connecting part and flagellum. Our results show that the biggest effect on the qualitative and quantitative parameters of semen for breeding bulls has age, the temperature along with moisture, where the greatest differences in results were found for the extreme va-lues. A value of temperature - humidity index (THI) has negligable effect, where there were the smallest differences in the obtained samples.

Sledování efektivity pozemkových úprav v Karlovarském a Královéhradeckém kraji / Monitoring the Effectiveness of Land Consolidation in Karlovy Vary and Hradec Králové Regions

Benková, Barbora January 2016 (has links)
This thesis deals with the evaluation of the effectiveness of comprehensive land consolidation in Karlovy Vary and Hradec Králové regions. It provides a summary overview about finished comprehensive land consolidation in the regions, including main parameters of the land consolidation. The subjects of research are parameters entering into the land consolidation and changes of these parameters after that, for example number of parcels, the plan of common measures, etc. Then a success of the land consolidation is evaluated (especially the effect of unification). Land consolidation is also evaluated depending on regional, natural characteristics of the regions. The effectiveness of land consolidation in Karlovy Vary and Hradec Králové regions has not been evaluated yet, so this is the reason for this thesis.

Bioindikace vlivu chemické zimní údržby komunikací na smrk ztepilý (Picea abies) / Bioindication of road salting impact on Norway spruce (Picea abies)

Zítková, Jana January 2016 (has links)
Road salting is one of the major negative impacts on the environment. Application of chemical salt based de-icing materials damages mostly the trees growing near the roads. Sodium and chlorine which are washed into the environment are absorbed by the surrounding vegetation and their increased concentration has a negative impact on their health. This thesis work assesses the influence of contamination potential on the content of sodium and chlorine in the needles of Norway spruce (Picea abies). This tree was used for the study because of its abundance and increased sensitivity to salinity. Study area was chosen in the northern part of the Czech Republic in the Liberec Region in between Jablonec nad Nisou, Železný Brod and Tanvald. To indicate the potential damage caused by road salting, the samples of 1-year-old and 2-year-old needles of Norway spruce were collected and examined for the concentration of sodium and chlorine. Also, the site contamination potential was assessed and the health conditions of individual conifers were evaluated. The measured concentrations of elements were evaluated based on four factors: the potential contamination sites, the health of the tree, the distance from the road and the age of needles. Based on the results of the evaluation, a measurement scale was designed with framework concentration values which can be used for practical assessment of the level of contamination.

Farmaka a další chemikálie pro osobní potřebu člověka - jejich stabilita a osud ve vodním prostředí

GOLOVKO, Oksana January 2014 (has links)
The main objective of this study was to assess the influence of sample storage on analysis, the seasonal changes in concentrations and removal efficiencies (REs) in a wastewater treatment plant (WWTP), and the photostability of pharmaceuticals under different sources of light were studied. Data obtained from stability studies showed that storage conditions had a significant impact on the stability of samples, and thus were very important for reliable determination of target compounds. The season can have an important influence on the variability of concentration and elimination of pharmaceuticals and personal care products (PPCPs) in WWTPs throughout the year. The target analytes were 10 antibiotics, 4 antidepressants, 3 psychotropics, 2 antihistamines, 2 lipid regulators, 4 UV filters, 3 analgesics/anti-inflammatories, and 9 anti-hypertensive/cardiovascular drugs. Wastewater samples (136 influents and 136 effluents) were collected from March 2011 to February 2012 and analyzed using two-dimensional liquid chromatography coupled with tandem mass spectrometry. The concentration of most pharmaceuticals was higher in winter. In most cases, elimination of PPCPs was insufficient, and removal rates varied strongly from 38% to 100%. There were significant seasonal trends in the observed REs, which decreased in winter. Photodegradation of 88 pharmaceuticals was investigated in buffered purified water. These experiments were performed both in sunlight and in the laboratory under artificial UV light. We found that photostability of PPCPs depends on the light sources, and that the rate of photolysis was slower under artificial UV light in most pharmaceuticals.
