This diploma thesis examines the influence of the economic crisis from 2008-2009 on the convergence of the regions of the Czech Republic defined at NUTS 3 level. Trends in region convergence are identified based on the beta convergence and sigma convergence analysis using panel data from 2002-2015. Subsequently are discussed the reasons for the observed differences and the consequences of unequal economic development in the regions for private companies that are located or are operating in the regions.

81 Summary This thesis focuses on predatory pricing in competition law of European Union and United states of America. The main goal of the thesis is to analyze the development of predatory pricing on the both sides of Atlantic and to show where the approach to predatory pricing is similar and where was used different perspective. The thesis is divided to three chapters. First part of first chapter describes predatory pricing in general. It supplies a complete view on basic elements of predatory pricing that were and some still are used to identify them. Second part of first chapter brings overview of the most important tests of costs and basic economic terminology, that is important for price tests. Last part introduces most important schools of competition law, that had the biggest impact on forming of approaches to predatory pricing. Second chapter deals with main milestones of development of predatory pricing in the United States. It brings chronological overview of laws and decisions of the U.S. Supreme Court, and analyses their importance for next judicial practice. End of this chapter summarizes development of predatory pricing in the USA on basis of foregoing findings. V mé práci se zaměřím na dekompozici problematiky přistoupení České republiky do jednotného měnového systému. Cílem práce je ukázat a pojmenovat faktory, které mají rozhodující vliv na úspěšnou transformaci ekonomiky a její udržitelný růst a jsou tedy i klíčové pro rozhodnutí o vstupu země do jednotného měnového systému.

This dissertation poses the question of whether there is a relationship between the speed of convergence of globalisation and the speed of convergence of GDP per capita. Firstly, the concepts of globalisation and real convergence and their relationship are thoroughly explained from both the theoretical and empirical point of view. And secondly, the answer to the question comes in the form of beta and sigma convergence analysis of this relationship. Thirdly, the analysis splits the countries into two groups (developed and developing countries) and finds interesting but ambiguous results in their comparison. Finally, in order to correctly interpret the results of absolute and conditional beta and sigma convergence, their theoretical and empirical overview is discussed in depth. The dissertation concludes by providing some answers to the initial question for every particular analysis. Namely, it shows that this relationship is indeed very ambiguous.

This thesis deals with the convergence project the IASB and FASB on the example of rules for leases. The first chapter introduces the general problems. The next chapters are introduced the IASB and the FASB, its objectives, structures, activities. The thesis focuses on the convergence project. The next two chapters, discusses the current leases arrangements in IFRS and U.S. GAAP, including its comparison. The main part analyses the draft of a new joint standard also discusses its possible impact and response to this proposal.

This diploma thesis deals with impacts of implementation of the new standard IFRS 15 which is result of part of the project convergence between IFRS and US GAAP. The theoretical part describes current standards which deal with revenues recognition under IFRS and US GAAP and compares them. The practical part describes the new standard IFRS 15. In the practical part there is an identification of changes in comparison with current standards and presented impact which will affect specific sectors.
