Vliv supervize a pracovního hodnocení na motivaci pracovníků působících v sociálních službách / The influence of supervision and job evaluation on motivation of social services workers

Mrázková, Alena January 2013 (has links)
The thesis concentrates on influence of work evaluation and supervision on motivation of workers of low threshold clubs for children and youth. Supervision and work evaluation is perceived as an obligation for providers of social services defined in quality standards of social services. The thesis concetrates on effects of supervision and work evaluation on the motivation of workers. The opening of the thesis describes roles in the process of motivation (roles of workers and the roles of their supervisors and senior executives), along with two fundamental theories of motivation (developed by Maslow and Herzberg). In the same chapter, the risks connected with work motivation (helpers' syndrome and burn-out syndrome) within helping professions are tackled. The thesis further introduces measures, which influence motivation of workers, employees of social services, namely financial recognition and education. Attention is also paid to non-financial means of motivating employees. Two selected measures of non-financial motivation, supervision and work evaluation, are described in greater detail, specifically in terms of their foundation, function, form, procedures, purpose and impact. In the pratical part of the thesis it is verified, whether all low threshold clubs for children and youth carry out...

Společnost nad Sázavou / Society over the Sázava

Kopečková, Petra January 2017 (has links)
The subject of this diploma thesis is based on the specific intention of the town Žďár nad Sázavou to rebuild the original nursery school at Okružní street to the community center. The building of former crches is located on the border of Stalingrad and new locations with family houses Klafar. The design of the building modification of the existing building is based on the perception of the continuity of the development, especially of the building structure. The aim of the project is to create a multifunctional community center with operational and administrative facilities. With regard to the capacity of the current building, it was necessary to extend the extension to meet the spatial requirements of each site. The construction program was specified by the developer and extended by two new facilities - the community center and the headquarters. It also includes the solution of outdoor areas, sufficient parking capacity and, in particular, the creation of a clear identity of the community site.

Smysl v práci. Motivace pracovníků vybraných nízkoprahových zařízení pro děti a mládež / Purpose at work. Motivations of Workers of Selected Low-threshold Facilities for Children and Youth

Valentová, Michaela January 2022 (has links)
Purpose at work. Motivations of Workers of Selected Low-threshold Facilities for Children and Youth Bc. Michaela Valentová Abstract Diploma thesis focuses on the experience of purposefulness of employees of low- threshold facilities for children and youth. In theoretical part low-threshold facilities are firstly conceptualized as a part of Czech organized civil society. Secondly, relevant theories of purpose are introduced. In empirical part, qualitative research is conducted by in-depth interviews with nine employees of two typical civil society organizations. Workers of low-threshold facilities for children and youth construct their purpose around four categories: helping clients, professionality, work ethics and self-development. Each of these categories brings specific consequences for their organizations. The theory expects purpose to be inspirational for others, however research participants do not reflect on the possibility to inspire their clients that way. This work suggests it is caused by workers' strong emphasis on professionality which creates borders in relationships between clients and workers and also limits the possibility to inspire one another with purpose. Keywords low-threshold facility for children and youth, civil society organization, CSO, non-profit organization, mission, meaning of...

Biophysical and Phenomenological Models of Cochlear Implant Stimulation / Models of Cochlear Implant Stimulation

Boulet, Jason January 2016 (has links)
Numerous studies showed that cochlear implant (CI) users generally prefer individualized stimulation rates in order to maximize their speech understanding. The underlying reasons for the reported variation in speech perception performance as a function of CI stimulation rate is unknown. However, multiple interacting electrophysiological processes influence the auditory nerve (AN) in response to high-rate CI stimulation. Experiments studying electrical pulse train stimulation of cat AN fibers (ANFs) have demonstrated that spike rates slowly decrease over time relative to onset stimulation and is often attributed to spike rate (spike-triggered) adaptation in addition to refractoriness. Interestingly, this decay tends to adapt more rapidly to higher stimulation rates. This suggests that subthreshold adaptation (accommodation) plays a critical role in reducing neural excitability. Using biophysical computational models of cat ANF including ion channel types such as hyperpolarization-activated cyclic nucleotide-gated (HCN) and low threshold potassium (KLT) channels, we measured the strength of adaptation in response to pulse train stimulation for a range of current amplitudes and pulse rates. We also tested these stimuli using a phenomenological computational ANF model capable of applying any combination of refractoriness, facilitation, accommodation, and/or spike rate adaptation. The simulation results show that HCN and KLT channels contribute to reducing model ANF excitability on the order of 1 to 100 ms. These channels contribute to both spike rate adaptation and accommodation. Using our phenomenological model ANF we have also shown that accommodation alone can produce a slow decay in ANF spike rates responding to ongoing stimulation. The CI users that do not benefit from relatively high stimulation rates may be due to ANF accommodation effects. It may be possible to use electrically evoked compound action potentials (ECAP) recordings to identify CI users exhibiting strong effects of accommodation, i.e., the increasing strength of adaptation as a function of increasing stimulation rate. / Dissertation / Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) / Cochlear implants (CI) attempt to restore hearing to individuals with severe to profound hearing deficits by stimulating the auditory nerve with a series of electrical pulses. Recent CI stimulation strategies have attempted to improve speech perception by stimulating at high pulse rates. However, studies have shown that speech perception performance does not necessarily improve with pulse rate increases, leading to speculation of possible causes. Certain ion channels located in auditory nerve fibers may contribute to driving the nerve to reduce its excitability in response to CI stimulation. In some cases, those channels could force nerve fibers to cease responding to stimulation, causing a breakdown in communication from the CI to the auditory nervous system. Our simulation studies of the auditory nerve containing certain types of channels showed that the effective rate of communication to the brain is reduced when stimulated at high rates due to the presence of these channels.

Specifika pomáhajících profesí v oblasti prevence sociálně patologických jevů / The specifics of professions helping in the field of socially pathological phenomena prevention

Hakenová, Ivana January 2011 (has links)
This paper concentrates on the area of professional assistance, especially the prevention of socio-pathological phenomena in children and adolescents. The theoretical part introduces the history and current concept of altruistic behaviour, defines the basic social areas and activities for which assisting another human being is characteristic. Attention is also devoted to the services of the helping sector and its clientele. The introduction also includes the analysis of the assumptions and demands on the performance of helping profession, its hidden difficulties and the prevention of unprofessional conduct. Social deviations are a natural part of every society. They can be carried not only by adults, but also by children and adolescents. The causes, course and consequences of socially unacceptable behaviour are studied by professionals to whom the final chapter of the theoretical part of this paper is dedicated. The practical part complements the characteristics of selected helping professions listed in the theoretical part on the basis of statements obtained under the expert survey conducted among the individual professionals. It also provides their comparison on the basis of predefined specifics.
