Small and medium-sized enterprises of the EU gain the opportunity to trade their goods and services, or both across the borders of the EU. Thus, the importance of studying the internationalization process has become with the increasing competitiveness very important. This diploma thesis deals with risk of the internationalization process of small and medium-sized enterprises that is a process of entry to the foreign markets. Moreover, it deals with what is the role of the European Union in the internationalization process. The goal of the thesis is to identify the risks of the internationalization process of small and medium-sized enterprises and to find out if the European integration helps small and medium-sized enterprises in this process. The suggested recommendations are intended to show how to support the small and medium-sized enterprises in the internationalization process.

The identification will depend on the base of the data obtained from the survey and it will depend on the base of chosen methodical procedure. The practical part of diploma thesis contains the description of actual condition of small and medium sized enterprises in Czech republic and it also contains characteristic of the branch of agriculture to which is related the survey. On the base of the results of the survey there were descripted the factors influencing the internationalization process of the enterprises, there were identified the most important motives that lead to the entry to foreign markets there were also described the obstacles and the risks that bind to the enterprises

The topic of this diploma thesis is how is the fact that Czech Republic is member of the EU influencing internationalization of Czech SMEs operating in ICT industry. EU has opened and unified the internal market a lot which gave new possibilities of internationalization for member countries. Importance of the topic is also given by the facts that small and medium-sized companies have crucial importance for Czech economy and ICT industry is growing and has crucial influence on increas-ing effectiveness of companies. Sub-goals of the thesis concerns with the motiva-tion, barriers and risks of internationalization process within the EU. Literature review provides insight into globalization and internationalization itself, possibilities and theoretical approaches to internationalization process. In the literature review are also described different theoretical approaches to risks, barriers and motives of internationalization with emphasis on small and medium-sized companies. Next part of the thesis is focused on the situation of SMEs within EU and Czech Republic, on the ICT industry within the EU and Czech, its im-portance and development in Czech Republic and on the own primary research.

This diploma thesis deals with the description and analysis of important EU support tools for SMEs in Czech Republic and Slovakia. The goal of the diploma thesis is to analyze these tools, impact on SMEs, analyze the participation of the Czech and Slovak SMEs within these programs, their interest, do statistics, compare the both states and based on above mentioned analysis and questionnaire survey on chosen sample of small and medium - sized enterprises, some recommendations for the Slovak and Czech SMEs are done and the conclusion about the situation in this sphere is determined.

This diploma thesis disserts on the application of the concept of corporate social responsibility (CSR) in small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). The first part of the thesis starts with the evaluation of current trends and attitudes to social responsibility, it distinguishes the CSR concept, its historical evolution, the fields, dimensions and characteristics of the concept and it discusses its application, evaluation and report. Following the use of theoretical knowledge a set of questions for the application of CSR in SMEs primary research analysis is proposed. This diploma thesis, in practical part, evaluates general opinions about CSR in SMEs, it estimates the level of perception of attitudes to demonstrations, motives, barriers and stakeholders SMEs when using CSR and it evaluates realized responsible activity MSP. Subsequently evaluates the perception of the factors influencing the CSR concept level and realized SMEs responsible activity using composite indicators. At the base of analysis results we formulate the recommendations for the support of implementation of CSR in SMEs.

Diploma thesis is evaluating economical effectiveness on selected number of enterprises, which are drawn from European Union structural funds, and is determining critical factors of this type of funding during program period 2007-2013. Theoretical background of entire thesis creates bibliography research, which inc-ludes basic terminology, characteristic of selected grant heading, finally descripti-on of specific phases in the process of grant application. First part of practical section of thesis is analyzing external environment and sectoral characteristic including basic performance indicators. Effects from provided funds and critical factors are identifying through the outputs of financial analysis of selected number of enterprises in relation with results of primary research.
