This Master Thesis is focused on the topic of internationalization of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). The main goal of this thesis was to find out if the czech SMEs are able to participate in international trade, how can they achieve that and if the provided support of SMEs is sufficient. The theoretical part describes the term small and medium-sized enterprises, its specifics, significance and the evolution of the SME sector in Czech Republic. The theoretical part further deals with particular aspects of internationalization and with the quality of the provided support of SMEs in Czech Republic. The practical part was realized in the form of semistructured interview with a owner of Simplejohn, inc and the main goal of it was to verify the conclusions reached in the theoretical part.

This thesis deals with the possibilities of using methods of Competitive Intelligence for Small and Medium Enterprises. The main objective is to analyze how a particular business entity can apply the Competitive Intelligence methods. Sub-targets were set to achieve the primary goal of this diploma, among which belong describing theoretical aspects of Competitive Intelligence, characteristics of business environment in the selected segment, analyzing possibilities of using methods of Competitive Intelligence in the segment and designing applicable methodology of its usage for particular entity. The benefits of this work are mainly the mapping of external environment and its influences on the organization and subsequent proposal of how to use information resources for the specific needs of the company and its leadership in the decision-making process to maximize the company's market potential and resistance to adverse influences.

This thesis deals with a specific area of cloud computing - Enterprise Content Management services and their adoption among small and medium-sized businesses. The main goal is to identify and analyse factors affecting the expansion of cloud ECM services among SMBs. Secondary goals include definition of basic concepts, introduction of benefits and risks, definition of a suitable category, presentation of several products from this category, analysis of cloud computing adoption surveys, identification and analysis of main adoption barriers, description of products with focus on identified barriers and compilation of a set of recommendations for cloud service providers. These goals were achieved by studying literature, searching and analyzing cloud computing adoption surveys and consulting with professionals. This thesis contributes to the field with mapping of real world companies' opinions into practical recommendations for cloud computing vendors. Other contributions include definition of product parameters that are important when making a cloud ECM adoption decision, presentation of current market situation and how individual producers deal with main customers' barriers. Benefits for customers include cloud ECM market overview and showing which facts are worth their notice.

The aim of this thesis is the analysis of the International Financial Reporting Standard for Small and Medium Enterprises (IFRS for SME). The first part deals with reasons for the Standard, its contents, structure and its relationship to the full version of IFRS. Next section is focused on individual parts of financial statements in accordance with IFRS for SME, description of rules and principles for reporting and comparison with full IFRS. Theoretical foundings are illustrated on the financial statements of MES-IMPILO, company which uses IFRS for SME. Final chapters examine possibilities of implementation the IFRS for SME in EU and Czech Republic, countries which have already addopted IFRS for SME and application IFRS for SME in companies.

This diploma thesis deals with product launch marketing plan on B2B engineering market. The aim is to describe the marketing plan and comment it in terms of complexity and depth of this plan. The theoretical part describes the marketing plan and its parts considering the specifics of small business on B2B market. The practical part covers comments on the particular marketing plan in detail and suggests indicators which evaluate successful product launch. Finally, the conclusion evaluates marketing plan briefly and presents several suggestions to improve the plan based on specialized publications.

In the thesis there is analyzed the situation of SME's in the Czech market and the services and support that businesses can use while expanding abroad, it also analyses the modern methods in this area. The aim of the thesis is to analyze trends in the field of internationalization of SMEs, to identify the key needs of Czech companies and to compare them with the actual support offered in the Czech market. Based on a comparison with foreign practice, namely New Zealand, it should propose new ways and opportunities in the process of expansion.
