This master thesis focuses on public spaces in cities. The thesis is divided into three parts: theoretical, analytical and practical. The topic of the theoretical part is public space with focus on city square and street. Another topic is a traffic in a city. Because the chosen model space is a small town, the thesis also briefly covers small town issues topic in the conclusion part. Nove Mesto na Morave’s town centre was chosen as the model space for the practical and analytical part of this thesis. The analytical part contains all the necessary surveys and research for the whole town and is followed by detailed surveys and research created specifically for the area of focus. The last part of the thesis includes a design which was created based on the information covered in previous chapters. The aim of the study is to show different options in small town’s central public space planning.

Říčařová, I. The influence of small and medium enterprises on the development of a selected region. Master thesis. Brno: Mendel University, 2018. This thesis is focused on how small and medium enterprises affect the development of the selected region. In the thesis, the role of small and medium enterprises operating in the trade sector in the selected rural region is defined. A primary and secondary data analysis was used to achieve the aim of the thesis. Recommendations for municipalities were suggested based on the analysis results. The suggested recommendations should lead to the regional development with the involvement of small and medium enterprises in the trade sector. Furthermore, the rural areas which should be supported were also included in the thesis.

Vencálková, Š. Risks of the internationalization of SMEs operating in the engineering industry. Diploma thesis. Brno: Mendel University, 2018. The main objective of the thesis is to identify risks that affect small and medium-sized the engineering enterprises, and through primary data, which are acquiredcano questionnaire investigation. The literary part of the thesis explains concepts of globalization, internationalization models internationalization, small and medium-sized enterprises, risk. The analytical part of the work contains the characteristic of engineering as an industry, a description of the small and medium-sized enterprises in the CZECH republic. On the basis of the obtained data are determined by the risks that affect small and medium-sized engineering enterprises in the international trading. The key risks of small and medium-sized engineering enterprises identified the loss of key customers, the withdrawal of a business partner from the contract, the conclusion of an erroneous purchase contract, unfavorable exchange rate changes and are subsequently set out proposals for addressing these risks. The results of the survey are further compared with other selected industries.

The diploma thesis is focused on the development and reaction of the regional food enterprises in the changing agriculture business environment. In this context, the business environment in agriculture business commodity verticals, the specifics of small and medium-sized enterprises development and the development of commodity verticals of meat in the Czech Republic are generally characterized. Based on these general contexts, the current situation of a particular small meat processing enterprise in the district of Žďár nad Sázavou was evaluated as a basis for discussion of the assumptions, benefits, risks and possibilities of development of this type of entrepreneurial subjects. From these findings, recommendations are made to improve the position of that company on the market.

Residential arrangement of the Czech Republic is typical by a big number of small municipalities. Those municipalities has the same status as bigger municipalities. However those small municipalities manage with limited resources for their development. Some authors discuss about incapability of small municipalities and the possibility of their integration. Small GTPases are important proteins that affect many cellular processes. In my work I compare the five most important protein families of small GTPases - Arf, Rab, Ran, Ras and Rho to identify amino acids responsible for major functional differences between different protein families. To compare them, I have used the structural data from the PDB database and sequences from the UniProt database. I have discovered previously undescribed groups of amino acids specific for each protein family of small GTPases with the help of programs ConSurf and Sca5. I also carried out a pilot study of the applicability of B-factors as indicators of bond strength in the protein structure on the example of small GTPases. This theses is focussed on the issue of reporting of small and medium companies under IFRS for SME. The goal is to evaluate advantages and disadvantages of this reporting in czech enterprenual surrounding. At the beginning of the theses I outline the fundamentals of reporting under czech accounting principles and under IFRS for SME. The practical part is devoted to conversion of Financial Statements from czech accounting principles to IFRS for SME of a construction company that meets the criteria of a medium enterprise.Upon comparing of the both Financial Statements I have come to a conclusion that the Financial Statements under IFRS for SME give certainly a greater evidence than the Financial Statements under Czech accounting principles. Although I have come to a conclusion that the Financial Statements under IFRS for SME are better, their applicability for some companies could be questionable. Such a company could be the one that does not have separate owners and managers.

Cílem diplomové práce ?Úloha veřejné správy v podpoře malého a středního podnikání v kraji Vysočina? je jednak analyzovat současné podnikatelské prostředí v České republice se zaměřením na kraj Vysočina a jednak představit podpory určené malým a středním podnikatelům, kteří realizují své podnikatelské aktivity na území kraje Vysočina. Dalším cílem je provést analýzu čerpání finančních prostředků z podpor vymezených pro malé a střední podniky a snaha zhodnotit efektivnost těchto poskytnutých podpor v kraji Vysočina.

Hlavním cílem diplomové práce je postihnout úlohu malého a středního podnikání v rozvojových programech mikroregionu Kroměřížsko. Diplomová práce je zaměřena na možnosti podpory malého a středního podnikání z prostředků státního rozpočtu České republiky a z prostředků Evropské unie. V teoretické části práce se zabývám vymezením základních pojmů o malém a středním podniku, charakterizuji podnikatelské prostředí v České republice a uvádím jeho silné a slabé stránky. Uvádím problematiku regionálního uspořádání a struktury České republiky, základy regionální politiky, formy podpory malého a středního podnikání, ekonomické a sociální přínosy malých a středních podniků. Jednotlivé kapitoly jsem doplnila aktuálními informacemi v průběhu zpracování diplomové práce. V praktické části analyzuji prostředí mikroregionu. Zaměřila jsem se na analýzu demografické struktury mikroregionu, jeho vybavenost vybranými druhy zařízení a na analýzu podnikatelského prostředí v mikroregionu. Pozornost jsem zaměřila na programy a projekty v souvislosti s Evropskou unií.

Diplomová práce se zabývá přínosy zavedení a certifikace managementu jakosti v malém a středním podnikání; v teoretické části charakterizuje podniky MSP a specifikuje přínosy certifikace podle 8 zásad ISO; v praktické části ukazuje přínosy na příkladu mikropodniku z oblasti telekomunikací.
