Myslet socialismus bez tanků: diskurzivní analýza pojetí a úlohy svobody slova v různých interpretacích československého roku 1968 / Thinking socialism without the tanks. A discoursive study of the role of freedom of speech in the various interpretaitons of the czechoslovak year 1968

Stropnický, Matěj January 2012 (has links)
Trying to overcome the traditional analytic nihilism of papers dealing with Czechoslovakia in 1968, which arises from the military occupation, the author puts the fact of freedom of speech into his work's central interest. In a comparative study this work studies the different interpretations of its role and meaning, including: the dogmatic point of view concerning the freedom of speech being a source of organized counterrevolution; the effort of the reformers to include the freedom of speech into their reform and meanwhile to make it an instrument of it and the way it instead became an autonomous control of their politics; the realistic criticism concentrated on the manifestations of irresponsibility in the press endangering the reform on the one side and not being able to exit the temporary system imagination on the other; it equally pays attention to the 'unnamed', non-members of the Party, who process their self- establishment as an opposing political current, who however rest being no less than a source of interesting subversion; and finally examines the radical democrat approach understanding the freedom of speech as an obligatory condition of their politics together projecting the reconstitution of the society as an autonomous political subject. The work uses contemporary documents and texts...

Spettacolarità e scenografia a Milano tra età teresiana e giuseppina

BARBIERI, FRANCESCA 13 March 2012 (has links)
In the second half of the 18th century Milan became a very influent centre for the art of stage designing. This PhD thesis seeks to investigate the developments of the visual aspects of theatricality in a crucial period (1765-1792) for Milan. This study is based on iconographic sources, namely engravings and drawings. The analysis focuses on public and political events (wedding festivals, state funerals and royal entries) and, at the same time, on theatre. The research considers the development of stage design at the Regio Ducal Teatro and the Teatro alla Scala. It concentrates on the works of the most important scene-painters of the period: the brothers Fabrizio and Bernardino Galliari and Pietro Gonzaga. As a result, the study provides an analysis of the several components of visual representation and their features.

CULTURA TEATRALE E SCENARI URBANI NELLA MILANO DEL TRIENNIO CISALPINO (1796 - 1799): TRA IMPIANTI TRADIZIONALI E INFLUENZE FRANCESI

SALVI, GRETA 12 June 2013 (has links)
In the Triennium 1796-1799 took place the short life of the Cisalpine Republic, one of the political units founded by Napoleon Bonaparte during the Italian Campaign. This work studies the theatrical culture and the performing aspects which characterized the Cisalpine Republic and particularly its capital, Milan, in that historical juncture. The thesis asserted here is about the use of performing practices as an instrument of popular education and spreading of the principles of the 1789 Revolution. This aim was pursued by both French authorities and Italian pro-Revolution patriots. This work tackles three main points: the architectural and urban changes which affected Milan during the Triennium, the theory and practice of theatre, the public celebrations. The cultural relations between Italy and France have been investigated with special attention. This study is based on some documents kept in archives and libraries of Milan and Paris, such as printed editions of theatrical plays, records of celebrations, correspondence and periodicals from the age of the Cisalpine Republic.

IN MYSTERIO AN VERITATE. LA DISPUTA EUCARISTICA CAROLINGIA TRA ESEGESI E AUCTORITAS PATRUM / In mysterio an veritate. The carolingian eucharistic controversy between exegesis and auctoritas patrum

RAFFO, GIACOMO 01 March 2018 (has links)
The thesis considers three treatises of the same title, De corpore et sanguine Domini, on the Eucharist composed in the ninth century by Paschasius Radbertus, Gottschalk of Orbais and Ratramnus of Corbie, analyzing them under two different aspects. In a first part the internal relations and their ties with the theological and philosophical controversies of the period are reconstructed, above all with that of predestination and the virginal birth of Mary. At the end of this analysis a different date, relative to the composition of the treaties, is proposed from the one commonly accepted, valuing a fragment of the Gottschalk treaty testified by a single manuscript in the Royal Library of Brussels. In a second part, starting from a systematic survey of all the biblical and patristic passages mentioned in the three treatises (shown in the tables in the appendix), the exegetical practices implemented in them are taken into consideration, trying to highlight the methodology of authors' work towards their patristic sources. In particular, the analysis of the interpretation of a passage by Ambrose, present in De Mysteriis and in the De sacramentis, which is crucial for the argumentation of each of the texts in question, is carried out.

Česká škola violové hry / Czech school viola play

Mokrá, Eva January 2017 (has links)
I focus on viola performances in the Czech surroundings in my thesis. I follow the topic of my Bachelor thesis. I resume the history of the instrument playing in my introduction; then I follow the development to the string quartet from its origin - turn of the 19th and 20th centuries until today. I analyze the artistic career of some chosen quartets, which are characteristic for certain period. I especially take notice of important Czech viola players (Herold, Škampa). I introduce two contemporary figures of the viola play (Doležal, Pěruška) in the practical part and I offer comparison of the interpretations of Dvořák's compositions done by three different string quartets from different periods.

'Where does the new come from?' : an ethnography of design performances of 'the new'

Gaspar, Andrea Marques January 2013 (has links)
The core concern of my thesis is with shifting the focus from the description on how innovation is done (predominantly STS accounts of innovation in-the-making) to what designers do with conceptions of innovation. The thesis is based on ethnographic fieldwork within a group of interaction designers of Milan. Despite the different conceptions and traditions of innovation that these designers bring in – the artistic and technological ones – I observed that a design-centered conception of innovation is reproduced, as well as the idea that plans and intentions precede things. However, another key idea of my fieldwork is the importance designers give to imagining things as they might be, rather than focusing on how things are. This is where different models of action, planned and open ones coexist in creative ways: it is these processes that the ethnography details.

Wastescape Bhubaneswar & Cuttack

Gudéhn, Oskar, Ringqvist, Linda January 2014 (has links)
This project is a study of the wastescape - a network of waste - of Bhubaneswar and Cuttack in Odisha, India.  The study incorporates key locations, e.g. landfills, urban wastelands and waste warehouses; major actors in the formal and informal waste sector; and flows of waste through economic and social systems. Drawing from the studies, multiple interventions within the wastescape are proposed for improvement of the economic, ecologic and social situation. An important aspect of the project is the development of an approach for how to, as architects, work with big, complex, contingent networks; how to map and understand such a system; and how to determine where to intervene. To improve the existing wastescape, interventions must consciously and holistically address multiple scales; levels of formal-informal; and phases within the waste cycle. The study includes a vast amount of possible interventions. Some of the interventions are further detailed to show feasibility; impact on the wastescape; and synergies with other interventions within the wastescape.

Představy o budoucím Slovensku (koncepce poválečného Slovenska 1914-1918) / Ideas on future Slovakia (Conceptions of Slovakia after the Great War 1914-1918)

Bandžuch, Tomáš January 2011 (has links)
The goal of this dissertation is to describe an evolution of visions of the Slovak future, as they were introduced during the Great War (1914-1918) by groups of Slovaks living mainly abroad. It strives to decide, which of these visions had a chance to become real and which were only fantasies without real political importance. To reach this goal it tries to describe Slovak relations to other relevant nations in pre-war years and also the position of Slovaks in their fatherland or abroad including the ideologies by which they were influenced. One of most decisive goals of this dissertation should be answering the question if the Czecho-Slovak orientation was the only alternative to the idea of Hungarian state for Slovak politicians, or if the victory of this conception in 1918 was just a result of unpredictable processes, and whether other conceptions had their chance to influence the Slovak future, too.
