El presente trabajo tiene como objetivo determinar la evolución de la Unidad Económica Agraria (UEA) en la zona centro del partido de Patagones. A su vez, se pretende definir las principales variables de influencia y demostrar cómo las contingencias climáticas, económicas y sociales han ido incrementando la UEA de la zona. La UEA es aquella superficie que, teniendo en cuenta las características agroecológicas, sociales, culturales y comerciales propias de la región en estudio, permite a una familia tipo vivir decorosamente y prosperar. Para el trabajo se tomará el periodo 1988-2018 para mostrar por intervalos de 10 años cómo ha evolucionado la UEA en la zona centro (en la denominada zona de secano) del distrito con el método oficial del Ing. Agr. Raúl Fernández. La constante actualización de la UEA permite, desde un punto de vista estratégico, comprender mejor las economías regionales y aplicar de manera más eficientes las políticas dirigidas al sector agrario. A partir del análisis propuesto y en virtud de los supuestos realizados es posible observar los diferentes valores de UEA en los periodos establecidos. Se observa que en los tres primeros periodos (1988, 1998 y 2008) la UEA estuvo por encima del establecimiento modal, en un mayor porcentaje en los años 1988 y 2008. Esto se encuentra principalmente relacionado con las condiciones climáticas y a los rindes de cosecha que se obtuvieron. El periodo 2018 tuvo la particularidad de poseer rinde considerablemente alto sumado a los precios superiores en la venta de la lana y ganadería, permitiendo de esta manera poseer una UEA por debajo de la superficie modal planteada. / The present work aims to determine the evolution of the Agrarian Economic Unit (AEU) in the central zone of the Patagones district. In turn, it is intended to define the main variables of influence and demonstrate how climatic, economic and social contingencies have been increasing the AEU of the area. The AEU is that area that, taking into account the agroecological, social, cultural and commercial characteristics of the region under study, allows a typical family to live decently and prosper. For the work, the period 1988-2018 will be taken to show at intervals of 10 years how the AEU has evolved in the central zone (in the so-called dry zone) of the district with the official method of Ing. Agr. Raúl Fernández. The constant updating of the AEU allows, from a strategic point of view, a better understanding of the regional economies and a more efficient application of policies aimed at the agricultural sector. From the proposed analysis and by virtue of the assumptions made, it is possible to observe the different values of AEU in the established periods. It is observed that in the first three periods (1988, 1998 and 2008) the AEU was above the modal establishment, in a higher percentage in the years 1988 and 2008. This is mainly related to the climatic conditions and the harvest yields that they were obtained. The 2018 period had the particularity of having considerably high yields added to the higher prices in the sale of wool and livestock, thus allowing having an AEU below the proposed modal surface.
