The thesis focuses on the product modification in a wine hotel. Its aim is to suggest recommendations leading to greater consumer satisfaction and higher profitability of the hotel. The theoretical part explains the specifics of hotel services and their marketing. It also characterizes the wine tourism, as well as wine consumers and wine tourists as potential customers of the hotel. The practical part is oriented on the wine hotel Merlot in Prague. The main part of the thesis includes own survey of consumer behaviour conducted in the hotel. The competition analysis, SWOT analysis and analysis of meeting the requirements for official classification are presented as well.

Připrava magnetických nanočástic hydrotermální metodou / Preparation of magnetic nanoparticles by hydrothermal method

Hydrothermal method of nanoparticle preparation, involving oleic acid, has received certain attention in the last years. However, the published works lack systematic approach to the subject, and the mechanism was not thoroughly investigated, so as to achieve a predictable outcome of the synthesis. The present work investigated the influence of composition of organic and water phase on the synthesis of cobalt ferrite (cobalt(II)-iron(III) oxide) and magnetite nanoparticles, and the mechanism of nanoparticle formation was proposed. Organic phase was based on pentanol, octanol or toluene, containing the precursor - metal oleate. Besides hydrophobic particles, it was even possible to directly prepare hydrophilic oleate-coated particles by using water phase with sodium oleate. Synthetic procedure was then simplified by a separate preparation of cobalt-iron oleate, which led also to a product of narrower size distribution and better phase purity. Size control in the range of 6-11 nm and a batch yield of ca. 500 mg was achieved. Attention was given also to the surface modification of the particles, thus imparting them hydrophilicity. The first part of the diploma thesis deals with modern glued lamellar prisms for the production of windows, doors and their combination. The procedure of the euro balks production is the essential part of the work. Furthermore, the thesis focuses on the characterization of the wood modification, above all thermally modified wood which is currently used in practice. Moreover, at the present new modified material known as the wood treated by acetylation (Accoya). The practical part deals with the assessment of the bonded lamellar prisms' quality and rigidity. Next examination is devoted to two types of glue (PVAC, PUR).The prisms with two directions of the fibres in the middle layer were tested. The timber from the tangential and semi-radial direction was used for the middle layers. The conclusion if the produced prisms meet the requirements and satisfy the quality class for the window and door production, is included in the discussion.

Thesis investigates the flexural properties of modified laminated wood. Thesis examined two wood species - beech and aspen. The aim was to describe effect of wood species, material thickness, densification, adhesives and loaded cyclic stress on selection of mechanical properties. Wood species and thickness of material were determined as factors with very significant impact. They affected modulus of elasticity, limit of proportionality and bending strength. All these characteristics achieved higher values while testing beech lamellas. Degree of densification does not appear as a very significant factor. Comparing modulus of elasticity in this thesis and data given in the literature it is possible to say that densified lamellas used in this research reached higher values. This thesis also investigates tensile-shear strength and bendability.

Thesis, which is mainly based on New Civil Code, discusses marriage and its issues. It is also compared to previous version of the law where important. Theoretical part is split into four main chapters. First chapter focuses on institution of marriage itself including development of marriage and importance of relations between spouses. The second chapter talks about marital property of spouses, its content, modification and management. Specific problems of marriage are discussed in the third chapter while last chapter deals with end of marriage termination of marriage and its settlement of the marital property. In the practical part have been researched the problems of marriage (the most common kinds of problems and theirs reasons) and reasons for termination of marriage with the survey. Outcome of this survey has been statistically evaluated. Found information are shown in the final part of practical thesis as well as confirmed hypotheses regarding matter. Propositions are made for dealing with marriage issues and termination of marriage based on findings.

Využití inovativních sorbentů při imobilizaci Zn v půdě / The use of inovative sorbents for immobilization of Zn in soil

Amorphous manganese oxide has been already successfully tested as an efficient amendment for limiting the mobile fraction of risk elements in soil. However, its application is accompanied with an unsolicited phenomenon of increased dissolution of this agent related to oxidation of soil organic matter. For that reason, surface modification of the studied Mn oxide with the layer of MnCO3 has been proposed (Sm-AMO). The subject of this thesis is to assess the effectiveness of chemical stabilization of two contaminated soils using Sm-AMO with a focus on Zn and to verify the stability Sm-AMO based on laboratory experiments. The results of preliminary stability testing of both materials in demineralized water confirmed that Sm-AMO is less soluble than the original AMO. However, this fact was not confirmed by the results of testing of AMO and Sm-AMO performed using pH-static leaching experiments, when no differences were observed between AMO and Sm-AMO stability based statistical analysis, except for the natural pH (6.03) in the Litavka soil (soil L). Both sorbents yielded greater stability with increasing pH. Adsorption kinetics of Pb, Zn, Cd and As, which are present in the tested soils, onto AMO and Sm-AMO was studied to compare the adsorption properties of both materials. Affinity of these metals was generally higher towards AMO, but the recorded equilibrium time was similar for both sorbents. The results of adsorption kinetics for both materials tested showed the highest sorption rate and the highest adsorbed amount for Pb and the lowest for Zn. Similar results were also observed at pH-static leaching experiment. Stabilization effectiveness of Sm-AMO compared to AMO was mainly demonstrated for Pb and As under natural pH conditions (pH 6,03 and 6,43) of Litavka and Smolotely soils. Considering the stabilization of Zn statistically significant stabilizing effect of AMO/Sm-AMO was observed only at pH 8, when the AMO showed to be more effective. The effectiveness of Sm-AMO for the immobilization of Zn was not as significant as expected, but compared with other immobilization amendments Sm-AMO is an effective sorbent for Zn stabilization.

More precisely, the author presents history, possible ways of treatments and the impacts on the treated material from the point of view of chemical, physical and mechanical changes. The introduction of the thesis describes the main subject of the research European Beech (Fagus sylvatica L.). The practical part of the work focuses on a contact high-temperature treatment of the samples. It is intended to achieve in the cross-section uneven modification. The treated samples were chemically analyzed. Finally, the results are evaluated and discussed.

Numerické simulace teplotního a vlhkostního pole ve dřevě v prostředí se zvýšenou teplotou

The thesis deals with numerical simulation of temperature field with internal heat sources and experimental verification of this model in an environment where the high temperatures are applied (during thermal modification of wood). The work was further extended by analysis of coupled heat and monture transfer in the wood. Designed mathematical models are solved numerically using software COMSOL Multiphysics based on the finite element analysis (FEM). The chemical reactions occur due to decomposition of woodconstituents (cellulose, hemicelluloses and lignin) are taken into account in present study. These reactions are usually not solid in known models. The results of numerical simulations of temperature field, including pyrolysis model, are compared with experimental measurements for verification of the proposed model. Contribution of this thesis is the possible application of the proposed model for the design and optimization of thermal modification Schedule with respekt to wood species and sample dimensions.

The thesis deals with analyses of thermal modification process and assessment of the possibilities of using plantation grown polar wood clone MAX-4 (Populus Nigra and Populus maximowitzii) with modified properties in wooden products. Part of present thesis is to provide general state of art about recently developed thermal modification processes, research dealing with plantation grown wood species cultivation and its material properties, i. e. fast growing poplar hybrids mainly. Furthermore, assessment of possible use of thermally modified material for wooden products based on experimental results of physical and mechanical properties. The aim of present thesis is to evaluate material properties of thermally modified fast growing poplar clone. Improvemetns within material properties of plantation grown poplar wood has a huge potential for future use of this low-cost, low durable and fast-grown wood and therefore increase its utilization within products made of wood.
