Livscykelanalys av volymelement i produktskedet / Life cycle assessment for the product stage for a prefabricated module unit

Andersson, Christoffer, Nilsson, Tilda January 2020 (has links)
Global warming has led to the Swedish government, as part of the global climate goals, to propose a legislative requirement that is supposed to come into force from January 1, 2022. The forthcoming legislative requirement will stipulate that greenhouse gas emission from buildings' life cycle are documented and presented. The purpose and goal of this thesis is to investigate and analyze the climate impact of a prefabricated building module during the product stage. The object investigated is a building module with a living area of 40.6 m2, which is part of a larger apartment building. The climate impact has been calculated and analyzed with life cycle analysis approach using the Construction Sector's Environmental Calculation Tool (Byggsektorns miljöberäkningsverktyg). The analysis is limited to the product stage of the module including extraction and processing of raw materials, transportation and manufacturing of the module. The result of the study is that the modules climate impact is 124.8 kilograms carbon dioxide equivalents per square meter according to specific data. The major part of greenhouse gas emissions comes from the material cross laminated wood and from energy sources being used in the manufacturing of building products and the module.

Reusability for Intelligent Realtime Interactive Systems / Wiederverwendbarkeit für Intelligente Echtzeit-interaktive Systeme

Wiebusch, Dennis January 2016 (has links) (PDF)
Software frameworks for Realtime Interactive Systems (RIS), e.g., in the areas of Virtual, Augmented, and Mixed Reality (VR, AR, and MR) or computer games, facilitate a multitude of functionalities by coupling diverse software modules. In this context, no uniform methodology for coupling these modules does exist; instead various purpose-built solutions have been proposed. As a consequence, important software qualities, such as maintainability, reusability, and adaptability, are impeded. Many modern systems provide additional support for the integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) methods to create so called intelligent virtual environments. These methods exacerbate the above-mentioned problem of coupling software modules in the thus created Intelligent Realtime Interactive Systems (IRIS) even more. This, on the one hand, is due to the commonly applied specialized data structures and asynchronous execution schemes, and the requirement for high consistency regarding content-wise coupled but functionally decoupled forms of data representation on the other. This work proposes an approach to decoupling software modules in IRIS, which is based on the abstraction of architecture elements using a semantic Knowledge Representation Layer (KRL). The layer facilitates decoupling the required modules, provides a means for ensuring interface compatibility and consistency, and in the end constitutes an interface for symbolic AI methods.

Termoelektrické moduly pro mikrokogenerační zdroje / Thermoelectric Generators for Micro-CHP Units

Brázdil, Marian January 2019 (has links)
Small domestic hot water boilers burning solid fuels represent a significant source of air pollu-tion. It is therefore an effort to increase their combustion efficiency and to reduce the produc-tion of harmful emissions. For this reason, the operation of older and currently unsatisfactory types of household boilers has been legally restricted. Preferred types of boilers are low-emission boilers, especially automatic or gasification boilers. Most of them, however, in compar-ison with previous types of boilers, also require connection to the electricity grid. If there is a long-term failure in electricity grid, the operation of newer boiler types is limited. Wood and coal gasification boilers are currently available on the market and can be operated even in the event of a power failure, but only in heating systems with natural water circulation. In heating systems with forced water circulation, these boilers, fireplaces or fireplace inserts with hot-water heat exchangers cannot be operated without external battery supply in the event of a power failure. The dissertation thesis therefore deals with the question of whether it would be possible by thermoelectric conversion of waste heat of flue gases of small-scale low-emission combustion hot water domestic boilers to obtain sufficient electricity, to power supply their circulation pumps and to ensure operation in systems with forced water circulation independently of elec-tricity supply from the grid. In order to answer this question, a simulation tool predicting the power parameters of ther-moelectric generators was created. Compared to previously published works, the calculations and simulations include the influence of the generator on the boiler flue gas functionality. To verify the simulation tool, an experimental thermoelectric generator was built using the waste heat of the flue gas of an automatic hot water boiler for wood pellets. In addition to this genera-tor, there was also created an experimental thermoelectric fireplace insert and other equipment related to these experiments.

Zařízení pro automatické měření voltampérových charakteristik / Device for automatic measurement of volt-ampere characteristics

Ondráček, Petr January 2020 (has links)
The Master's thesis discusses the design and realization of electronic meter of volt-ampere characteristics using Wifi module ESP32. The device is designed to be able to measure the characteristic in the voltage range of +/- 20 V and current range of +/- 200 mA. The device is controlled by web interface. The user is able to connect to it with for example his or her smartphone. This interface enables the user to configure various parameters, including the range of measurement and the power restriction. Furthermore, it is possible to graphically display the measured characteristic and export the data. To be independent on the outer network, the ESP32 is operated as an access point, which is creating a new simple network without the internet connection. In the Master's thesis, the principle of voltage and current measurement is explained theoretically, the circuit connection of device and the printed circuit board are designed and the cover of the device is modeled. Also the process of creating the device according to the design is described and the cover of the device is printed on 3D printer. After that, the control program is designed, described and uploaded into the resulting device. Finally, the functionality of the device is tested by measuring the volt-ampere characteristics of a few components.

Mechanický návrh simulátoru dopadu za snížené gravitace / Mechanical design of impact simulator under reduced gravity

Melichar, Marek January 2020 (has links)
The diploma thesis is focused on the development of the concept of a mechanical device that would meet the necessary requirements to achieve a successful simulation of reduced gravity or microgravity on the tested body at its impact. The choice of a suitable mechanism is based on a literary research of all available variants and highlight of their specifics. Target values are created for the selected method of testing, upon reaching which the concept will be considered successful. In order to verify the functionality of the concept, a mechanism is assembled on a smaller scale. The individual components of the mechanism are tested and carefully selected. All essential physical processes taking place in the system are mathematically described and combined into a MATLAB script. A separate application is created to calculate the behavior of the system based on the specified input parameters.
