Automação de células de produção de radiofármacos / Automation of cells of radiopharmaceuticals production

Negrini, Aguinaldo Donizete 13 October 2010 (has links)
The 67Ga is an important radiopharmaceutical used to identify inflammatory processes in chronic illnesses, diagnosis by image of tumors in soft tissues and the possibility to evaluate the result for therapeutic intervention. Disease modules identification in heterogenous diseases with WGCNA method

Ullah, Naseem January 2019 (has links)
The widely collected and analyzed genetic data help in understanding the underlying mechanisms of heterogeneous diseases. Cellular components interact in a network fashion where genes are nodes and edges are the interactions. The failure in individual genes lead to dys-regulation of sub-groups of genes which causes a disease phenotype, and this dys-functional region is called a disease module. Disease module identification in complex diseases such as asthma and cancer is a huge challenge. Despite the development of numerous sophisticated methods there is a still no gold standard. In this study we apply different parameter settings to test the performance of a widely used method for disease module detection in multi-omics data called Weighted Gene Co-expression Network Analysis (WGCNA). A systematic approach is used to identify disease modules in asthma and arthritis diseases. The accuracy of obtained modules is validated by a pathway scoring algorithm (PASCAL) and GWAS SNP enrichment. Our results differ between the tested data sets and therefore we cannot conclude with recommendations for an optimal setting that could perform best for multiple data sets using this method.

Scaffolds in non-classical Hopf-Galois structures

Chetcharungkit, Chinnawat January 2018 (has links)
For an extension of local fields, a scaffold is shown to be a powerful tool for dealing with the problem of the freeness of fractional ideals over their associated orders (Byott, Childs and Elder: \textit{Scaffolds and Generalized Integral Galois Module Structure}, Ann. Inst. Fourier, 2018). The first class of field extensions admitting scaffolds is \enquote*{near one-dimensional elementary abelian extension}, introduced by Elder (\textit{Galois Scaffolding in One-dimensional Elementary Abelian Extensions}, Proc. Amer. Math. Soc. 2009). However, the scaffolds constructed in Elder's paper arise only from the classical Hopf-Galois structure. Therefore, the study in this thesis aims to investigate scaffolds in non-classical Hopf-Galois structures. Let $L/K$ be a near one-dimensional elementary abelian extension of degree $p^2$ for a prime $p \geq 3.$ We show that, among the $p^2-1$ non-classical Hopf-Galois structures on the extension, there are only $p-1$ of them for which scaffolds may exist, and these exist only under certain restrictive arithmetic condition on the ramification break numbers for the extension. The existence of scaffolds is beneficial for determining the freeness status of fractional ideals of $\mathfrak{O}_L$ over their associated orders. In almost all other cases, there is no fractional ideal which is free over its associated order. As a result, scaffolds fail to exist.

Wavelets and C*-algebras

Wood, Peter John, drwoood@gmail.com January 2003 (has links)
A wavelet is a function which is used to construct a specific type of orthonormal basis. We are interested in using C*-algebras and Hilbert C*-modules to study wavelets. A Hilbert C*-module is a generalisation of a Hilbert space for which the inner product takes its values in a C*-algebra instead of the complex numbers. We study wavelets in an arbitrary Hilbert space and construct some Hilbert C*-modules over a group C*-algebra which will be used to study the properties of wavelets. We study wavelets by constructing Hilbert C*-modules over C*-algebras generated by groups of translations. We shall examine how this construction works in both the Fourier and non-Fourier domains. We also make use of Hilbert C*-modules over the space of essentially bounded functions on tori. We shall use the Hilbert C*-modules mentioned above to study wavelet and scaling filters, the fast wavelet transform, and the cascade algorithm. We shall furthermore use Hilbert C*-modules over matrix C*-algebras to study multiwavelets.

Mandray, Sylvain 26 June 2009 (has links) (PDF)

Cadic, Christophe 14 January 1999 (has links) (PDF)

Fleet Management Services in GSM-modules

Hellström, Nils January 2007 (has links)
<p>This report studies a low cost hardware platform for Fleet Management Services, FMS. The platform manages vehicle data, positioning and wireless communication. The core of the platform is a new kind of ‘intelligent’ GSM modem, called a GSM module. A GSM module is basically a stripped down mobile phone that allows embedded third party application code and has an IP-stack. The report reviews the modules available on the market today and presents experiences from the implementation of a prototype based on the Aplicom A12 module. The main conclusion is that the concept is feasible though the modules' limited performance must be considered in the design.</p>
