Sociální motivace k ochraně přírody v ČR do roku 1956: analýza vybraných (chráněných) území / Social motivations to conservation of nature in the Czech Republic until 1956: the analysis of selected (protected) areas

15 Abstract The main focus of this thesis is to discover psycho-social motivations leading to nature preservation. During the research almost a hundred of (protected) areas were selected and subsequently analysed to determine what variety of psychological/social motivations are decisive for preserving the nature in the Czech Republic. The localities were selected in the way that each region of the Czech Republic is being represented. The work explores a period since the beginning of purposeful preservation activities (circa 1800) until 1956 when the first Law on Protection of Nature was adopted by a socialist government. The objective is to categorize revealed motivations and to determine their significance as well as to find the most common initiators and scopes of environmental protection. Based on the results we shall be able to define tactics for the encouragement of civic and private activities. This revival could subsequently lead to a further protection of nature, to enhance interest in local events and to take responsibility for the condition of the environment. This research acknowledges what kind of environmental objects will most likely be protected in the future, what initiators are most often involved or whether education is of great importance. The aim of the thesis was to compare motivations of employees and volunteers working in the particular organization of civil society and to find out if and eventually how, the volunteer and employee management's styles vary. The theoretical part focuses on the main theories of motivation and motivation strategies. The research was a case study of the civil society organization, which specify on the care of seniors. The thesis may be used by the organization for a feedback and it may bring some advices regarding workers motivations. Motivace pracovníků v sociálních službách v chráněných bydleních / Work motivation in social services in community living

Due to declining employment in the last few years, employee motivation has become a very real issue in social services. The subject of the diploma's thesis is the analysis of the motivation of workers in social services (personal support workers) in three organizations providing community living for disabled people in the Karlovy Vary region. The theoretical portion of the thesis contains information about motivation, some theories of work motivation and selected theories of human resource management regarding work motivation, plus a section on social services about community living for disabled people and the role of the manager in social services. Within the empirical part of the thesis two goals are met through the methods of mixed research. One goal is to analyze the motivation of workers in social services, which resolved using a questionnaire survey. That research identified factors causing employee satisfaction and factors that motivate employees. The second goal of the thesis is met in form of structured interview to determine how managers in the researched organisations motivated employees. For this purpose, is in this paper mentioned the issue of non-financial incentives for employees and its significance. Aim of this thesis is to analyze the role of tools focused on non-financial motivation of employees in social and health organizations and their occurence in Jedlicka institute. This thesis is divided into two parts - theoretical and practical. In the theoretical part there is summarized characteristics of health and social organizations and specifics of its financing. Streamování počítačových her v České republice: kvalitativní studie / Live streaming of computer games in the Czech republic: a qualitative study

This thesis focuses on the phenomenon of live-streaming of computer games in the Czech Republic. This thesis is based on an approach of online ethnography and tries to describe what meaning do the producers of content (who are labeled as performers in this thesis) ascribe to streaming, what are their motivations to stream, how they present themselves on the streams and what is the content of those streams. The live-streaming of computer games in this thesis is put into context of user-generated content. The main part of this thesis is a qualitative research realized through an online observations of streams and through interviews with the performers, who stream on the streaming service Twitch. The findings show that streaming is entertaining and time passing activity for the performers, but also a form of a social contact. Some motivations of the performers include the satisfaction of their viewers and recurring contact with them. There were no financial motivations involved among the performers. Performers mostly do not stylize themselves into any specific role, however some of them do take on themselves the roles of teachers, who teach their viewers to be a better gamer, or the roles of entertainers. Some of the tasks were to investigate about initial experience of future head teachers, if they find the law-imposed qualification sufficient or how family backround, health or personal characteristics influence their professional development. The diploma thesis makes use of qualitative analytical methods of the Grounded Theory to explore the theme of "reflection of experience with school of boys from Diagnostic Institute for Youth". It sets a goal to understand the context of subjective meanings of adolescent boys. The result of the analysis is a description of the dynamic metamorphosis in relation to the school, using the description of internal and external factors affecting this phenomenon. Among the main discovered themes belong the role of the authority of educator and the usage of supervisory tools and the evaluation of their effectiveness by their addressee. Furthermore, the thesis devotes to description of the transformation of internal motivational dispositions of the individual (needs, interests, attitudes and values). The two main themes synthesize to the concept of transformation of the relationship to school. The thesis is a qualitative probe into the inner world of the adolescent subjects who, at the threshold of adulthood, are teetering on the edge of a risky behavior and a socially acceptable experimentation which naturally belongs to this developmental period.
