OF MASTER THESIS Author: Bc. Anna Stiborová Supervisor: Mgr. Kateřina Svěcená, Ph.D. Title of master thesis: Utilization of Functional Independence Measure and Functional Assessment Measure on acute inpatient rehabilitation unit with brain damage patients Abstract: This master thesis focuses on the utilization of Functional Independence Measure and Functional Assessment Measure (FIM+FAMUK ). The subject of interest is the use of FIM+FAMUK in an acute phase of rehabilitation in brain damaged patients. The aim of the thesis is to demonstrate the usefulness of FIM+FAMUK as an assessment of functional status on an acute inpatient rehabilitation unit. Theoretical part provides basic information on the system of cerebrovascular care in Czech republic, on the importance of assessing functional status in neurorehabilitation and on some other assessments of disability in neurorehabilitation besides FIM+FAMUK . It also brings insight into FIM+FAMUK , its items, evaluation process and its utilization. Practical part presents the results of a clinical application of FIM+FAMUK on a stroke unit. Fifteen people were assessed with FIM+FAMUK as input and output assessment. Statistical data analysis has confirmed the utilization of FIM+FAMUK as an assessment of functional status on acute inpatient rehabilitation...

Pro-aktivní léčebný přístup v neurorehabilitaci integrující vzduchové dlahy a další terapeutické pomůcky. Podtitul: Využití v ergoterapii u dětských pacientů s diagnózou mozková obrna. / Pro-Active approach to Neurorehabilitation intergrating air splints and other therapy tools. Subtitle: Practical application in occupational therapy for children with cerebral palsy.Opravilová, Dana January 2018 (has links)
The Focus of this study is to present Pro-Active approach and its use in pediatric occupational therapy. The main goal is to find out the effect of the Pro-active approach to neurorehabilitation on function capability of children with spastic quadruparesis form of cerebral palsy. In the first part is presented an overview of the issue of the Pro-active approach, which is made on the basis of a literature search. Nine patients participate in this study. The pro-active approach was applied to all of them. The first case study acted as a pre- research, she had 4 months of therapy with 25 therapies. The other 8 case studies took place for 5-weeks, with occupational therapy 3 times a week. Participants were assessed with the Pediatric Evaluation of Disability Inventory (PEDI), measurement of active and passive range of motion in joints at upper extremity and spasticity. Evaluation of model activities was also included. Comparison of initial and control assessment showed an improvement in all measured score. 6 participants had better score in PEDI. For most participants was the range of active and passive motion increase. The degree of spasticity remained unchanged, but the spasticity angle improved. This study confirms that Pro-active approach has a positive effect on functional capabilities of...

[EN] Within the framework of the Universitat Politècnica de València and in a four-year time span, ranging from 2015 to 2019, this research on art-therapy in Valencia was done in specialized brain injury units, which were dedicated to rehabilitation of acute and chronic patients with stroke. In order to promote and strengthen their executive skills and self-confidence as individuals, the main objective of the study investigated to which extent the implementation of educative programs from an artistic- therapeutic perspective, dedicated to stimulate the creativity of their participants, can provide an increase in their functionality during the rehabilitation period and other daily practices. Within a conceptual, open and interactive framework, of a felt nature derived from the inclusion of a creative practice in the clinical context of acquired brain injury, this the research aimed to contribute, from art and education, to the planning of artistic-therapeutic processes oriented to the needs of this population.
The methodology of the research involves a Randomized Controlled Trial Study that quantified the effect of the intervention and showed the differences in clinical variables assessed before and after the participation in the study. / Zurru Fernández, R.
