Užití biodegradabilních polymerních konjugátů s vysokou molekulovou hmotností k účinnému/ doručení cytostatických léčiv do solidních nádorů. / Biodegradable high molecular weight polymeric conjugates for efficient delivery of cytostatic drugs into solid tumors.

Černý, Viktor January 2015 (has links)
Cancer remains one of the most pressing issues of contemporary science and medicine. Incidence of malignant diseases is rising worldwide and they represent a major problem for the society due to both economic and ethical issues they cause. Although the progress in cancer biology, therapy and immunology has led to the introduction of many novel therapeutic protocols, approaches and drugs with specificity defined on a molecular level into clinical practice, many malignancies retain their poor prognosis. Therefore, intense research into new ways to increase our therapeutic options is warranted. Unfortunately, bringing a completely novel drug into clinical use takes extremely high amounts of time and money and entails a high risk of failure. Therefore, a promising approach has been recently adopted which lies in repurposing compounds already used in human medicine for cancer treatment. This form of research can advance through clinical trials for a new indication much easier, faster and cheaper than researching completely new drugs. The aim of this study was to examine the anticancer potential of one such drug, mebendazole. An anthelminthic from the family of benzimidazoles, mebendazole has been in common clinical use from the 1970s and is marked by its low toxicity as well as its very low solubility....

Vyšetření rekombinací mezi genem a pseudogenem pro β-glukocerebrosidasu vedoucích ke vzniku patogenních alel / Detection of β-glucocerebrosidase gene/pseudogene recombination events leading to pathogenic alleles

Peková, Barbora January 2017 (has links)
This diploma thesis provides an overview of gene conversion, its role in the pathogenesis of human diseases and the use of methods based on next-generation sequencing (NGS) for detection rare variants of DNA sequence. Labeling of target DNA molecules by random nucleotides in primer and NGS were used for detection point mutations arising de novo in the β-glucocerebrosidase gene by gene conversion between it and its pseudogene in meiotic and mitotic cells of control subjects. Primers specific for the active gene were used to selectively amplify the ninth and tenth exon of the gene where "recombinant" variants occur most frequently. Sequences generated from 20 genomic DNA samples on Illumina MiSeq platform were quality filtered, sorted by unique labels and consensus sequences were created from alignments of sequences carrying the same DNA tag. The number of potential point mutations in the samples ranged between 12 and 48. The mutations were manually re-evaluated from the alignments. The number of alignments with unique labeling was in the range of 7-15 thousand per sample. Only three samples carried possible recombinant mutations, suggesting a lower frequency of conversion in the region than reported by other techniques. Analysis of unique sequences in primer indicated possible ways to improve the...

Vaňková, Lenka January 2017 (has links)
This thesis is dedicated to a research of the influence of information technologies in Health Education in scope of various forms of education. The theoretical part focuses on determining the aims of education, teaching approaches and means of education in various areas of education. It deals with formal, non formal and informal education. A major role in this work is given to curators whose influence penetrates all spheres of teaching, especially in non formal and informal environment. This thesis shows how much the role of a teacher shifts towards curatorship and thus increases the influence it has on the target group (pupils) in an after-school environment. The empirical part is dedicated to the individual curators and video interviews with them. The questions of the interview focus on healthy life style, teaching, their presentation online and the role of technology in contemporary health education. A questionnaire researching the experience of both, pedagogues and students of the health education major, with using digital technologies in class is also a part of the empirical unit. Based on the analysis of the interviews and the questionnaire, this thesis shows the present state of the use of technologies in health education and concludes the most likely course of development. Unconventional Means of Oil and Gas Production and Their Influence on International Trade / Nekonvenční způsoby produkce ropy a zemního plynu a jejich vliv na mezinárodní obchod

Černý, Martin January 2013 (has links)
The growing world population accompanied by an increase in GDP is effectively raising the demand for energy. One of the options are unconventional means of oil and gas, originating mainly from shales and oil sands. The goal of this thesis is to introduce the reader to unconventional means and their influence on international business. After a short introduction and definition an analysis of the situation in the U.S. follows, where the recent years have brought an increase in production from unconventional sources. The positive influence on the economy, employment and energetic security will be mentioned same as possible impacts on the environment. Furthermore the paper provides an analysis of the potential of repeating the U.S. shale revolution in other countries, with special focus on the EU. The success of unconventional sources opens the possibility of new trade routes, influence on the trade balance and the potential of influencing the whole gas market. However, it will also have an impact on current oil and gas producers. Considering the close bond between energetic security and politics, the thesis closes with an analysis of influences on the economy and politics of both -- current oil and gas producers and countries, which might be directly and indirectly affected by changes in the oil and gas market.

Kadlecová, Marcela January 2021 (has links)
1 Název diplomové práce v anglickém jazyce, abstrakt v anglickém jazyce a tři klíčová slova v anglickém jazyce Legal aspects of New Religious Movements in the Czech Republic Abstract The main purpose of this master's thesis is a critical analysis of Czech legislation of New Religious Movements. This thesis should describe a legal relationship between New Religious Movements and Czech legal order. This thesis focuses on the topic while studying public and private law's aspects. It also focuses on sociological considerations. New Religious Movements are a necessary part of a religious development of every society. There is a lot of different religious movements. Therefore, it is especially challenging to make legislation related to them. The legislator should consider religion a private part of everyone's life. Act No. 3/2002 Coll., which is the most important piece of legislation for New Religious Movements, does not distinguish terminologically between New Religious Movements and the traditional churches. A long tradition in the Czech Republic and a lot of members have for example Seventh-day Adventist Church, Jehovah's Witnesses and The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Being a member of a New Religious Movement can particularly affect man's life. Conflicts between New Religious Movements and...
