The object of this diploma work is to prepare documents for the strategic development plan of the selected municipality. Comprehensive development concept of the village is an important tool for achieving targets and effective management, because the village is then better utilized from human resources and also from tangible and intangible assets point of view. To determine priorities, wishes and demands of the inabitants was carried out a survey. The data were appraised with the use of internet application vyplňto.cz. Based on the situation analysis, socio-economic analysis and the results of the investigation were determined strategic areas, which will be crucial for the development and renewal of the village in the next 10 years. For each area was formulated SWOT analysis and with regard to the vision of the village have been designed for each strategic area the measures and specific projects that describe the problem sets and require special attention in further work in the village. A proposal of organizational development of the village, organisational structure, development indicators monitoring and updating development plan was determined. Based on the results it can be concluded that village acquired basic conceptual program document will be an important step towards the realization of sustainable development.

The aim of the thesis is to evaluate the management of the city Rotava. Fulfilling this objective will be realized by a comprehensive analysis of operations for the period 2010-2015. In the theoretical part, there are basic concepts defined related to local government units (municipalities), municipal budget and financial analysis methods. These theoretical bases are necessary for the development of the practical part, consisting of a detailed analysis of the financial management of Rotava. Based on the analysis and findings, recommendations to improve the financial situation of the city will be submitted.

The diploma work is divided into two parts: the theoretical and the practical. The theoretical part describes especially municipalities and the budget. The practical part analyses the budget management of the City District Prague 11 between years 2009-2011.

The aim of this study is detection of local identity of inhabitants in area of village Dukovany and its role in village development. The research was based on half standardized interviews with Dukovany's natives in age over 65 years. Interviews were focused on detection of local identity of inhabitants and change of village's landscape. The questions were divided into four areas: perception of landscape in childhood, original landscape, changes in landscape and actual distinctions from the original landscape. Based on the interviews was made the so-called modern village chronicle, which will be part of Dukovany's chronicle.

Presented diploma thesis is focused on comparation of the economic management of two selected towns in Vysočina region. The main goal is to evaluate financial situation within 5 years time range that leads towards a proposal of improving weaknesses. The work is divided into a literal research, where there are terms connected to towns and management defined, and theoretical part where there are individual towns budgets discussed and detailed, as well as example balance-sheet of Budkov and Třebelovice from 2011-2015. Eventually, there are several ideas proposed to improve economical management that leads towards improvements of each town.

This thesis focuses on financial management of different size categories of municipalities, differences between them and their assessment. It is divided into two parts: theoretical-methodological part and following analytical part. The former one focuses on the status and functions of municipal government in the public administration system of Czech Republic, both currently and in terms of historical development that preceded the present state and also affected it. Furthermore, this part focuses on general financial management of municipalities in the Czech Republic, shows the structure of municipal budgets and their development in recent years. It also introduces the issue of budgetary tax allocation, which focuses on its development from the 90th years of the 20th century and planned changes in the future. The analytical part is then focused more on differences in the financial management of different size categories of municipalities. Based on the findings of research reports assesses the development undergone by the financial management of different size categories in the years 2006 -- 2010, where it focuses particularly on small municipalities that are often discussed as problematical in terms of their efficiency. Part of the analytical work is formed by author's own analysis of revenue and expenditure side of budgets of selected three municipalities in the years 2006 -- 2010 in terms of their structure and development in the reporting period. The municipalities were chosen to represent smaller municipalities (201 -- 1 000 inhabitants), medium-sized towns (10 001 -- 20 000 inhabitants) and also large towns (50 0001 -- 100 000 inhabitants). Subsequently, the data for each municipality are compared with each other, with an average of municipalities throughout the whole republic, as well as with the average of the appropriate size category to which a given municipality belongs to. In order to be able to compare the data and in order to eliminate any fluctuations between years, all the data are used in average numbers and in the per capita form.
