This diploma thesis deals with the marketing of grocery stores. The aim of this work was to develop marketing recommendations for grocery stores in small towns in order to improve their relationships with customers and increase traffic to the outlets. Resultscontain qualitative research in the form of in-depth interviews of twenty operators of grocery stores in Brno region, the outputs of these interviews were analysed using grounded theory. The second part of the research was carried out in the form of a questionnairesurvey, the sample consists of 317 respondents. There are verified assumptions formulated on the basis of the findings of qualita-tive research. The main findings of this study are marketing recommendations that lead to improvement of satisfaction of current and potential customers, these pro-posals concern implementation of merchandising and category management.

This diploma thesis deals with the Monitoring the Development of the Remedial Work of the Illegal Waste Dump in Bor u Skutče Village. There is an evaluation of the process of the remedial work during the years 2002 and 2008 described in this thesis. First, the introduction focuses on the concepts like landfill and illegal waste dump which have been evaluated primarily by means of legislations. A detailed description of the area of Bor u Skutče village together with the origin of the illegal waste dump and also a characterization of the substances that caused the groundwater contamination follows in the next part. The most important chapter deals with the evaluation of the data that was obtained through the process of the remedial work, the description of the remedial technologies and the brief description of the company that executed the remedial work. Finally, the last part of this thesis is aimed at monitoring the current situation after the completion of the remedial work and the process of removing the remedial work in 2013 which was finished after the monitoring that had proved a satisfactory content of the contaminants.

This thesis deals with economic activities evaluation of municipalities with extended powers in the South Moravian Region. The thesis consists of two parts, namely the theoretical and the practical one. In the theoretical part the basic terms are characterized which relate to public administration, the municipal budget and budget structure. Fur-thermore, specific methods of municipalities' financial management calculation are itemized and the public facilities term is explained. The practical part focuses on the application of specific methods of calculations to the South Moravian Region villages taking into consideration the connection between their financial situation and public facilities. In closing the calculated figures of municipalities with extended powers are generally summarized.

This thesis is based on financing of Czech municipalities with the primary objec-tive of the proposal of a new financial system which can be commonly applied in the Czech Republic. Theoretical approaches, with an analysis of the existing sys-tem of financing municipalities in the Czech Republic, specifically the issue of tax sharing, and a comparison of systems that are currently being used abroad are discussed at the start of this thesis. Through acquired knowledge, a proposal of a new system based on tax competition of municipalities is introduced. The proposal not only contains a de-scription with examples of specific changes in revenues of selected municipalities, but also its counterpart balancing mechanism which ensures each municipality a certain minimal income per capita meanwhile motivating them to find their own sources of revenue.

The diploma thesis concerns the Nedrahovice Municipal Development Programme as a source document for formulating its spatial plan. In the opening, the concept of spatial planning and planning legislation are defined, followed by the history of spatial planning and specific legal regulations until the present. The following chapters describe the main objectives and tasks of the spatial planning, its basic subjects and spatial planning tools under the current legislation; the work further analyzes the contents and formulating of the particular spatial plan. In addition, the theoretical part of the thesis is dedicated to the municipal strategic planning and its strategic document called Municipal Development Programme. The work continues the description of the document characteristics, its particulars and contents at a general level and compares the document with the specific Municipal Development Programme for Nedrahovice 2014-2020. The project part of the work deals with the Nedrahovice strategic document, its contents, shortcomings and errors. With reference to the critical analysis conducted, the thesis offers addition of the missing passages or deletion of the parts incorrectly inserted in the document. The spatial plan proposal is further elaborated in the project part of the thesis. The proposed spatial plan draft for Nedrahovice is based on the data provided in its Municipal Development Programme; the proposal also responds to its formal and content shortcomings. The thesis is concluded by pointing to the specific problems concerning the municipality strategic document where it serves as a basis for formulating spatial plan, it also points out on how the spatial plan shortcomings can affect the plan contents.

The thesis titled theme "Factors regional development Říčansko" It is aimed at demographically growing community Sulice. This small village in the Central Region belongs to its location in the administrative district of Ricany. On the base of the higher territorial unit of the village is connected with the Prague metropolitan region, so we canin her talk as outer commuter zone. Work is in terms of content divided into two parts, theoretical and practical. In the first chapters of the thesis deals with the analysis of literature. Describes technical terms that relate to this topic. Explains such terms. Region, regional development, village, regionalization, demographics, urbanization, suburbanization, zoning and public administration. Subsequently, the practical part analyzes the municipality Sulice, focusing on the history, the present and the overall development of infrastructure, in order to identify the main development potentials. Attention is paid mainly to widespread suburbanization, which is associated with the growth of population in the village. For this reason, the author hinder handle the additional survey to better evaluate the possible social problems, and vice versa benefits of cohabitation residents and newcomers. A separate chapter assess basic development indicators, which most affect the economic and social development of the community Sulice. Finally, work is based on the findings SWOT analysis, which clearly illustrates the factors that could Sulice community should give more support, but also identifies areas that should be planned future development of the municipality mitigated.

The thesis deals with the assessment of the level of management of selected towns and villages. The aim is to analyze farming town of Jeseník and the village of Bělá pod Pradědem between 2010 and 2014 on the basis of an analysis of revenues and expenditures. At the same time, the analysis of financial indicators, which is drawn from the financial health of selected local governments. In the theoretical part are defined basic concepts related to the financial management of local governments. These include the concept of income, expenditure, budget, budget structure, financial outlook, monetary funds, budgetary principles and financial control. In the practical part, the author characterizes the selected local government units, carried out further analysis of management in the period 2010-2014, including the calculation of selected financial indicators. In conclusion, the author evaluates the financial performance of selected local government units and proposes recommendations that could lead to the improvement of the status of these units.

This thesis is about economic analysis of the villiges Pelhrimov and Nova Cerekev, the main goal of this work is compare the economic situation of both villages. The first part concerns the theoretical background of the issue, ie. general problems of the autonomous unit and the structure of the budget, namely the procedures for drawing up the budget and the definition budget item. Second part is practical part, which analyzes economic of Pelhrimov and Nova Cerekev for each year over the period 2011-2015, while the analysis is carried out on the principle of annual capture changes in revenues and costs. Subsequently, both villages are compared to the comparable base, that base is recalculation on 1 inhabitant for accurate capture of development. The analysis is followed by questioning in both villages, which aims to find out how residents perceive the issue of management of the village where they live. Finally is summarizing the outcome of secondary and primary research than make an objective assessment of both villages and suggest a possible improvement in the framework of their activities to the future.

The main goal of the study was to find out and compare the significance of the received subsidies in the development of Chanovice, Pačejov, Myslív and Velký Bor villages. My work in the first place dealt with subsidies as an important part of a village income and as a tool for their development. The theoretical part is based on the study of special literature and other relevant sources relating to the examined issues. Attention is given to regional development, within which the two programming periods (2007 2013 and 2014 2020) are compared and also the financing of villages. The knowledge gained in the theoretical part are followed by secondary data analysis, in which it was found that the received subsidies hold an important position in the structure of Chanovice and Pačejov village incomes in the two other villages that position is not so important. Thanks to received subsidies in the period 2007 2013 the villages implemented a lot of developing projects, either infrastructural (most Pačejov village) or other (especially Chanovice village) character. In the framework of the infrastructure based projects all municipalities used the subsidies to build and repaire their water and transport infrastructures. Another field where the municipalities aimed the subsidies was field of education. Based on semi-structured interviews with mayors of selected villages the empirical part of my work was worked out afterward. The mayors share the opinion that the village development especially the development connected with infrastructure, the subsidies are necessary, but the way to obtain them is very difficult and costly for the small villages

This diploma thesis is called The Community Development Plan - Theory and Practice. In its application part it discusses proposal of a community plan - The Municipal Development Programme with involvement of the general public. This development document was updated for a small municipality of Rohy in the Highlands region. The main aim was to gather complex characteristics of the municipality, including a SWOT analysis, and to verify the needs of residents in the form of a questionnaire and interviews. The questionnaire survey and interviews are included. Next, the updating of Rohy Municipality Development Programme is proposed. In the methodical section, methods used for processing of the municipality development programme and questionnaire survey methods are discussed. Collection and evaluation of information gathered from Rohy municipality inhabitants took place in early 2016. The proposed development document could be a useful and helpful tool for development priorities planning of the municipality in future.
