Determinanty zájmu o životní prostředí / Determinants of Environmental ConcernVrbíková, Lucie January 2013 (has links)
The thesis "Determinants of environmental concern" is a quantitative analysis that deals with determinants of environmental concern, the scale of new ecological paradigm, environmental behavior and ecological activism. It uses data from an international survey "International Social Survey Project Environment III" from year 2010. Strong predictors came out from the analysis, mainly cultural differences of the respondents and education. The inhabitants of Western Europe and English speaking countries have the strongest environmental concern, in contrast, in post communist countries of Eastern Europe is this concern the smallest. Post materialists and inhabitants of the richer countries have stronger environmental concern and they believe more in science and progress solving ecological problems. The perception of consequences of ecological problems on everyday life is also a strong determinant from which suffers mostly localities out of Europe. The recycling waste is most often carried away in Western Europe and English speaking countries. A strong correlation is between finished education and environmental concern as well as ecological activism, there is a weaker connection to saving natural resources.

Tvorba veřejných politik v České republice: případ novely vysokoškolského zákona / Policy-making in Czech Republic: the case of higher education law novelizationKokeš, Richard January 2014 (has links)
UNIVERZITA KARLOVA V PRAZE FAKULTA SOCIÁLNÍCH VĚD Institut sociologických studií, katedra veřejné a sociální politiky Bc. Richard Kokeš Policy-making in Czech Republic: case of higher education law novelization Abstract Praha 2014 Abstract The work Policy-making in Czech Republic: the case of higher education law novelization has its main aim in explaining final form of higher education norm novelization which was created in the period Petr Fiala was a minister of education, youth and sports in government of Petr Nečas (2012 - 2013). To answer research question this work chooses constructivist approach and qualitative methodology. The basic research unit is policy network, which consisted from creators of novelization. Those actors composed working group whose activities took almost half a year. Using theoretical approach of understanding policy-making through concept of "policy work", this work explains final form of novelization through working activities which concrete actors did in monitored period. The main understandings this paper presents are substantive causes of final form of novelization like mid to long term concrete personal involvement in policy making in higher education, engagement of concrete actors for work in working group, setting of information exchange system between engaged actors and...

Využití CHKO Brdy ve výuce přírodopisu a biologie / Use of the Brdy PLA in High-School Science TeachingValterová, Bára January 2021 (has links)
Presented work studies the possibilities of recently established protected landscape area (PLA) Brdy for a systematic use in teaching nature and biology related subjects at schools closely neighboring the PLA. The theoretical part of this diploma work makes a resume of basic information regarding the legal status of PLA's and introduces the reader into main facts about the PLA Brdy focusing on its natural aspects and specifics. General methods of education are reviewed briefly, followed by a more detailed discussion about the educational form of field trip and about possibilities how such trips or excursions to the PLA Brdy can be used in the education practice. The key part of this work is a relatively large questionnaire research for teachers, pupils and students of elementary and secondary schools next to Brdy. It establishes a database of their approaches to and existing experiences with field trips generally and excursions into PLA Brdy in particular. Two separate questionnaires have been used: one for teachers (16 questions, 26 respondents) and another one for pupils and students (30 questions, 152 respondents). Therefore, the database is composed of nearly 5000 responses which have been analyzed. The results show that interviewed pupils and students are clearly interested in the nature and...

Numerická analýza problémů v časově závislých oblastech / Numerical analysis of problems in time-dependent domainsBalázsová, Monika January 2021 (has links)
This work is concerned with the theoretical analysis of the space-time discontinuous Galerkin method applied to the numerical solution of nonstationary nonlinear convection-diffusion problem in a time- dependent domain. At first, the problem is reformulated by the use of the arbitrary Lagrangian-Eulerian (ALE) method, which replaces the classical partial time derivative by the so-called ALE derivative and an additional convection term. Then the problem is discretized with the use of the ALE space-time discontinuous Galerkin method. On the basis of a technical analysis we obtain an unconditional stability of this method. An important step in the analysis is the generalization of a discrete characteristic function associated with the approximate solutionin a time-dependentdomainand the derivationof its properties. Further we derive an a priori error estimate of the method in terms of the interpolation error, as well as in terms of h and tau. Finally, some practical applications of the ALE space-time discontinuos Galerkin method in a time-dependent domain are given. We are concerned with the numerical solution of a nonlinear elasticity benchmark problem and moreover with the interaction of compressible viscous flow with elastic structures. The main attention is paid to the modeling of flow induced vocal fold...

Spolupráce učitelů jako základ edukačního procesu / Teacher cooperation as the basis of the educational processRukavička, Radek January 2014 (has links)
The thesis is divided in two parts. The first theoretical part defines the term cooperation and deals with the question of cooperation and individualism in school environment. It also reflects the documents where cooperation is explicitly mentioned. It shows the influence of school culture and climate on the development of cooperation, and it studies the climate of teacher-staff, and the role of the leadership in teachers' cooperation. The thesis further tries to map the reasons for refusing cooperation and define the environment that would encourage and support cooperation among teachers. At the same time, it identifies obstacles that prevent cooperation. It is aimed at mapping the areas and forms of cooperation used in school systems and various levels in which the teachers are wiling to cooperate. The practical part contains an exploratory study aimed at discovering the actual situation in teachers' cooperation in Primary/Lower Secondary Schools in the capital city Prague and a good practice examples that present options of cooperation among teachers in a Primary and Lower Secondary School in Prague 2.

Data mining v oblasti kurzového sázení 3. anglické fotbalové ligy / Data Mining in the Field of English Football League Third Division's Betting OddsFaruzel, Jiří January 2009 (has links)
Thesis "Data Mining in the Field of English Football League Third Division's Betting Odds" deals with data mining referring to acquiring knowledge from data. The main objective of this work is to develop data models for prediction of match results and to compare these predictions with a chosen strategy of betting. The selected betting strategy is based on betting single bets with odds belonging to chosen intervals, which generate a profit. These odds intervals were discovered by analyzing 2006-2009 football matches in a created simulator. On the basis of these odds ranges data models were constructed. Each data model contains a hypothesis which is generated by SD4ft procedure of LispMiner based on all football matches played in seasons 2001-2008. Developed data models are tested afterwards using 2006-2009 football matches data. Results show that all derived data models are profitable in all four seasons under consideration. More than half of them successfully predicted 2009 matches as well. The analysis showed that betting agencies offer mostly odds which make it almost impossible to be profitable while betting on matches according to their odds. In spite of this fact I identified some odds intervals with which you can success while betting single bets on home-team, draw or visitor-team with odds falling within these intervals. Association rules with reasonable confidence and support can generate high profitability. It is important to realize that there are no data models which guarantee a certain profit. Most of developed data models are not applicable in the real world, some of them can actually generate a loss. Nevertheless there are data models to be found that could generate a profit in the real world.

Týrané, zneužívané a zanedbávané dítě / Child abuse and neglectHORČICOVÁ, Ivana January 2007 (has links)
This dissertation is focused on some problems of maltreated, abused or neglected children and it also tries to outline a contemporary view of this situation. Considerable changes occured in this field after breaking a taboo on this subject, which is presented as a topic for a wide discussion. In my work I tried to give a complex view of some aspects of maltreated, abused or neglected children problems. Furthemore I focused on the problems of a public awareness concerning maltreated, abused or neglected children, and possible public activities in this field. I also investigated a public awareness of civic associations (i. e. organisations, institutions or facilities) which take care of endangered children in Trhové Sviny and nearby sorroundings. This research was based on a standardised questionaire. According to an analysis of its results, it is possible to to state a negation of both hypotheses in which I originally considered a public awareness of maltreated, abused or neglected children low, or likewise, I pressumed that a public awareness of the above mentioned organisations (civic associations, institutions) would not be very high. In spite of these conclusions it is a safe assumption that the tasks given to find out a situation in a public awareness concerning the endangered children, were fulfilled.

Člověk a posvátno / People and the SacredPALOUŠOVÁ, Zdenka January 2014 (has links)
This theses aims to find ways how to expand cultural and historical awareness of the young generation. It is inspired by a longterm program of the National Heritage Institute, Regional Center in České Budějovice, which is called "Let's play and study with sights." The theses follows the main ideas of this project and an educational proposal is created, which is supposed to introduce religious monuments in the city as well as try to point out the fact that these sites have been more or less transformed in the interior and some of them have undergone a change in its original purpose over decades or centuries. The theses also introduces the former holy of holies where an educational process was taking place in the 19th century. Descriptive research is developed into an educational program where presentation and comparison with other sacred objects is offered. An attempt to discover a tangible symbol of transcendence, and take photos of it, was chosen to be the activation element. Regarding the complexity of issues, this theses is meant for the final grades of primary schools and at the same level for the grades of grammar schools, it can also be used for lower grades of fouryear grammar schools and secondary schools. Its content should extend the lessons of history, art, aesthetics, and is also applicable as an extracurricular activity. It represents an educational proposal using the objectbased learning along with a continuous dialogue.
