Optimální metody řízení energetické spotřeby budov / Optimal Control Strategies for Building Energy Consumption

Kaczmarczyk, Václav January 2015 (has links)
This thesis discusses the operational coordination of electrical appliances and devices in a smart home. At present, the diminishing volume of fossil fuels and the increasing pressure to use renewable sources of energy necessitate the integration of such volatile sources into electrical grids. This process, however, results in higher energy costs, and the consumers are thus more willing to change their behaviour to either reduce the expenses or maintain them at a reasonable level. One of the relatively few customer-oriented options to optimise energy costs consists in the demand – response principle, which utilises external information to minimise energy consumption during high price periods. Assuming the constantly changing conditions in electrical grids, and thus also the varying demands, it is vital to provide for automatic optimisation excluding the need of user intervention. The thesis presents a method which, after being implemented into the control member, will facilitate the optimal use of appliances and devices within a smart home. As the behaviour considered optimal from the perspective of demand - response is often inconsistent with the consumer‘s requirements for comfortable use of the appliances, the proposed technique offers a compromise through enabling the consumer to select the appropriate strategy. Five universal optimisation models are designed within the thesis; these models facilitate description of common home appliances and local electricity sources. The core of the method lies in formulating and optimising a mixed integer quadratic problem (MIQP). The optimisation task yields an operational schedule for the individual appliances, and this scheme considers the energy costs, the working cycle of the appliance, the user’s demands, the system restrictions and/or other input data. Furthermore, the author extends the above-discussed general technique, enabling it to adopt robust behaviour. The method then secures the preset strategy even during a marked change of the input conditions, and its robustness is a viable precondition for the overall applicability of the technique in the real control member.

Algoritmus s pravděpodobnostním směrovým vektorem / Optimization Algorithm with Probability Direction Vector

Pohl, Jan January 2015 (has links)
This disertation presents optimization algorithm with probability direction vector. This algorithm, in its basic form, belongs to category of stochastic optimization algorithms. It uses statistically effected perturbation of individual through state space. This work also represents modification of basic idea to the form of swarm optimization algoritm. This approach contains form of stochastic cooperation. This is one of the new ideas of this algorithm. Population of individuals cooperates only through modification of probability direction vector and not directly. Statistical tests are used to compare resultes of designed algorithms with commonly used algorithms Simulated Annealing and SOMA. This part of disertation also presents experimental data from other optimization problems. Disertation ends with chapter which seeks optimal set of control variables for each designed algorithm.

Optimalizace sítě středních škol Karlovarského kraje / Optimization of secondary school network in the Karlovy Vary region

Procházka, Pavel January 2005 (has links)
Doctoral thesis is concerned with broad category of the secondary school system in conditions of floating exteriority and internal environment of high schools in the Karlovy Vary Region Authority. Thesis gives redress to development schools during working prominent factors that are totally objective in view schools' requirements of changes in school network and especially implementation optimalization's institutional concept structure of high schools including optimalization of kinds in education offer on the part of particular schools. Thesis of its content responds to The Concept of Education and the Development of the Education System in the Czech Republic, was launched by Resolution No. 564/1990 on 31 March 2002. Thesis is further based on next accessible documents and analyses checking up on the other Region Authority and on the whole Czech Republic. These include analyse of the The Czech Pedagogic Society, The Council of Higher Educations Institutions, National Programme for the Development of Education in the Czech Republic (White Paper), Council of higher Education Institutions, Institute for the Research and Development of Education of the Fakulty of Education of Charles University attitude and participation in OECD activities in the field of education will be focused especially on projects dealing with schoul education in the future. Authorities appreciate fast acting and it doesn't possible until becoming acute by reason of the demographic decline and untenable cost growth. But today we are missing general method purposeful resolution this challenge. The thesis afford make its ambition on elimination of this problem and at the same time become guideline to opimalization's concepts in network of schools and environments.

Optimalizace vstupního poplatku jako východisko k regulaci turistických aktivit a prostředku financování správy velkoplošných chráněných území ČR / Optimization of an entrance fee as a way to tourism activities regulation as well as an instrument for financing of agencies managing large protected areas in the Czech Republic

Malina, Petr January 2010 (has links)
Diploma thesis "Optimization of an entrance fee as a way to tourism activities regulation as well as an instrument for financing of agencies managing large protected areas in the Czech Republic" deals with the option of introducing an entrance fee into the Czech National Parks. As a result, the number of tourists visiting parks could be regulated and the agencies managing those parks could profit from the entrance fee payments. The entrance fee should become a tool for negative stimulation to the use of environmental goods and a tool for internalization of externalities. The thesis introduces an economic optimization model, which maximizes the tourism related social welfare and discusses the implementation options of the entrance fee to the Czech National Parks. It also demonstrates a simplified real data application.

Optimalizace portfolia na německém akciovém trhu / Portfolio Optimization in the German Stock Market

Bastin, Jan January 2017 (has links)
The thesis focuses on the equity portfolio management with quantitative methods. We present 3 types of optimization objectives: One tries to find minimum variance portfolios, tangency portfolios and portfolios with maximized expected returns in the German stock market. It is possible to compare those investment opportunities with a market-cap weighted benchmark and an equal weighted portfolio. Expected returns of stocks are estimated with fundamental factor models. Risks of portfolios are estimated with 5 types of covariance matrices: the matrix calculated with historical returns, estimations with the single index model, Fama-French three factors model, fundamental factor model and the shrinkage method. Our results are doubled because of the demonstration of the impact of turnover constraint on portfolio performance measures (transaction costs are included in our calculations). One can see that optimized portfolios had attractive risk-return measures in the period 2005 - 2015. Benchmark and equal weighted portfolios were dominated and we consider them to be inefficient investments in our test.

Podpora principů operačního výzkumu v TASW orientovaném na autodopravu / Support the Principles of Operation´s Research in TASW Oriented on Road Transport

Habarta, Přemysl January 2011 (has links)
In this contemporary world, when the globalization is on the first place, is possible to satisfy one's needs immediately. Road haulage becomes in last few years a significant market's part, which is necessary to the right function in all branches in the Czech Republic. The aim of this thesis is to analyse level of principle operation's research's support in TASW solution for the society, which is directed at road transport. Simultaneously I project a study, which supports a solution for small shippers, who aren't able or willing to acquire an expensive software for haulage entrepreneurship. I characterize issues of transportation's company to achieve my aim and I think about the principle's uses and method of operation's research in process of haulage entrepreneurship. I analyse a situation of operation's research's support with TASW, which is oriented on haulage entrepreneurship. After that I describe a study, where I project a solution for small shippers, which takes in the consideration the components of operation's research in their processes and TASW and this contributes to make the decision of small shippers easier to buy the suitable software for haulage. This thesis is divided into few parts -- at the begging I theoretically follow up haulage entrepreneurship, its division and kind of current freight. I describe the price creation to make really obvious, which knowledge the shipper have to know. I explain particular disciplines of research's operation, which are connected to make more effective the workings of haulage entrepreneurship. I use these results of the theoretical parts to create my own model of haulage entrepreneurship. I analyse the market's system in the Czech market, which is fixed to support process of haulage entrepreneurship, which applies the principles of operation's research. In conclusion I compare the variants of using different types of IS for transport. The biggest benefit of my thesis I see in that also the laymen can understand it. It makes easier to choose a specialized software for haulage entrepreneurship and the process analyse binding on possibly company's analyse and on field operation's research, which enable more effective delivery.
