Estas concepções são especialmente aquelas que atrelam o poder à capacidade estratégica do indivíduo (ou grupo) de realização de objetivos externos, às quais se dá, neste trabalho, o nome de “poder utilitário”. Partindo-se da premissa de que a teoria sobre o poder é um importante recurso para a atividade de pesquisa e reflexão acerca das organizações, o presente estudo pretende identificar outras concepções teóricas do poder, passíveis de aplicação à investigação organizacional, capazes de complementar aquelas que se baseiam na racionalidade instrumental. A metodologia escolhida para tal tarefa resume-se a um trabalho de revisão de literatura que envolve outros campos das ciências humanas, além do campo dos estudos organizacionais, como a sociologia, ciência política e filosofia. A aplicação destas concepções “alternativas” do poder à investigação das organizações visa a possibilitar uma mais completa compreensão da vida organizacional. Isso não significa, entretanto, que as concepções de poder baseadas nas premissas do utilitarismo sejam totalmente inapropriadas à análise organizacional. Como este estudo pretende demostrar, elas parecem estar adequadas, ao menos em parte, à análise de muitas formas organizacionais, especialmente as burocráticas. Entretanto, são concepções que parecem ser relativamente insuficientes à análise de outras formas organizacionais, onde as relações sociais são menos instrumentalizadas. No intuito de contribuir para o desenvolvimento da pesquisa no campo dos estudos organizacionais, mais especificamente, para o desenvolvimento da atividade empírica de análise organizacional, este trabalho procura trazer reflexões teóricas e metodológicas sobre o poder, úteis para a investigação de organizações burocratizadas ou não. Este trabalho está direcionado, desta forma, ao acadêmico, pesquisador e/ou observador, ocupado com a compreensão e reflexão acerca do fenômeno organizacional. / Salvador

<p>I och med Försvarsmaktens omställning till insatsförsvar med internationella åtaganden har sannolikheten för att marina förband ska nyttjas för väpnad strid ökat markant. Med detta följer ett än större behov av att kunna hantera sådana prövningar. I den här uppsatsen provas idealtypsanalys som metod att mäta korvetten HMS Stockholms effektivitet ur ett organisationsteoretiskt perspektiv. Idealtypen, referensfartyget ”HMS Excellence”, skapas genom att använda 7s modellen (Waterman et al.) för att åskåda organisationen och resultat från den Amerikanska studien <em>”Excellence in the Surface Navy”</em> (Gullickson & Chenette) som indikatorer för effektivitet. Genom att presentera intervjudata från HMS Stockholm i samma dimensioner skapas ett underlag för analys.</p><p>Resultaten från uppsatsen visar att HMS Stockholm är ett effektivt stridsfartyg med vissa organisatoriska brister vars orsak kan spåras till intensiteten i pågående insatsförberedelser. Vidare visar analysen att 7s modellen har potential att vara ett användbart verktyg för att optimera ett stridsfartygs organisation samt som en komponent i idealtypsanalys.</p> / <p>Because of the Swedish Armed Forces reformation from an operational defense force to a rapid action force with international commitments the odds of naval units being involved in armed confrontation has distinctively increased. This leads to an even greater need for battle readiness. In this thesis ideal type analysis is tried as a method to assess the efficiency of the Swedish warship HMS Stockholm from an organization theoretical perspective. The ideal case, a reference war ship named HMS Excellence, is created by combining results from Gullickson & Chenettes study <em>Excellence in the Surface Navy, </em>with the 7s framework. HMS Stockholm is presented in the same manner combining interview data with the 7s framework. The difference between the ideal case and empirical case is used as a measurement of HMS Stockholm´s efficiency.</p><p>The author concludes that HMS Stockholm is an effective organization with an occasional weakness in the systems dimension due to the intensity of deployment preparations. Also, the author argues for ideal type analysis, using the 7s framework, as a tool to optimize deployment preparations and the 7s framework as a tool to optimize war ship organizations.</p>

Realizado in loco, trata-se de um estudo comparativo de sistemas de representações coletivas em torno de uma categoria social específica, e muito presente no imaginário dos agentes sociais heterogêneos que atuam naqueles espaços. Ali, como na sociedade em geral, passam a defender uma visão de mundo que especifica a organização como uma categoria social (re)definida subjetivamente no decorrer de um contexto estruturado a partir das mais diversas trajetórias pessoais. Esta análise teve como base a etnografia do método de gestão do Programa Paidéia de Saúde da Família implantado pela SMS/ PMC entre os anos de 2001 e 2004 / Abstract: There is a interdisciplinary task of some cultural and symbolic questions in organizations, in order to make a contribution in analysis of institutions leading with changing. In loco, it is a comparative study of the common representative system about a social category very present between the heterogeneous social agents who act in that spaces. There, like in society, they start resisting with theirs different world visions, indicating the organization as a social category subjectively defined. All of it takes place in a framed context constructed during the different personal trajectories. Specifically, this analysis takes place in a ethnography of the management method presented in the Programa Paideia de Saúde da Família carried out by SMS/ PMC between 2001 e 2004 / Mestrado / Antropologia Social / Mestre em Antropologia Social

The thesis aims to identify strengths and threats of the International Queer Film Festival Mezipatra using methods of strategic analysis and qualitative research and then propose a course of action in future years. The theoretical part focuses on the description of the structure of the festival, the specifics of non-profit organizations and also characterizes the selected strategic analysis procedures. In the practical part I analyze the festival through the steps of strategic analysis and also use informal talks with members of the organizing staff and my own experience with executive positions at the festival and outline the current status of activities and further direction for the festival.
